What is the shelf life of ice in a freezer at -5c?

    It depends. 

    If the ice is in an air-tight container it will last as long as the freezer operates.

    If the freezer is the "frost free" kind, and the ice is left in the freezer naked, it will eventually sublime away completely.  How long that takes depends on how big the  chunk of ice is.  In my experience an ordinary ice cube is gone in about 90 days.
