I think for history after just a year or so (and Covid delays) it' s too early to tell.

But, so far there seems to be no ill effects anywhere in Britain and Continent/ as was foretold by the 'Leave' group. So far they seem right.

The 1 exception might be the 1 million Scotch Protestants in N Ireland. Who have resorted to making their tiny teen children...petrol bus bombers again a'la 1970's...what class!

The EU has countries that take, take, take from the central pot. They are not effected, yet. When we were still serfs of that vile organisation we, the French and the Germans were the ones that propped it up. Now it it entirely up to France and Germany and it is going to hit them HARD. The regime rulers are not happy that Brexit, despite their attempts at sabotage and their lies, has been a success. Add to that how well our vaccine program has gone and the mess they have made of theirs. So, it has been good for the UK and very bad for the EU.

On EU? Loss longterm of the ' annual club membership fees' the UK paid to the EU that was £350m PER WEEK, no freedom of travel to live/study/work of EU citizens ( that works both ways) however as the UK has free education for up to 19 years old, very good student financial grants and subsidised Univeristy places, free at point of use health care, social housing and a well funded benefit system, the UK got the poor, uneducated and unskilled EUs arriving along with their dozens of kids who screwed/conned the lot as EU citizens had to be treated exactly the same as UK citizens.

Many younger UK business people set up businesses in several EU countries,... as long as they are already there and registered correctly they will stay, but the EU will lose others who planned to do that, so tax revenue and employment prospects for their locals, Many UK pensioners spend UK winter months every year in countries like Spain/Italy, so they will lose many of them and future ones, so their local economy will suffer.

It will be more difficult and cost EU importers much more to import to the UK, who were a big importer of EU products ( again works both ways)

    ............and some others https://www.ig.com/uk/financial-events/brexit/pros...
