Can anyone identify this flower (link to pic enclosed)?
My mom got me this beautiful flower, but it did not have a tag to identify it. The flowers seem to close around sunset - illustrated by the spiny things to the right side of the blooms. Thanks for looking?
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoCan anyone help with threading a Sewing Genie?
When I turn the top wheel, and the needle goes down all the way, it doesn't catch the bobbin thread when it comes up. What am I doing wrong? I'm new to sewing and got this as a beginner's machine, but there are no instructions, and I can't find any instructions with pictures on the internet.
1 AnswerHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoHas anyone had success with a pay-per-click program?
I'm having trouble promoting my website. I provide a good service at good price, and the market isn't very flooded with other merchants (I make custom cross stitch patterns from people's pictures). Pay-per-click through Google gained lots of clicks, but no buys - so I pretty much threw away money. Any tips on website promotion, either through pay-per-click or other means?

I currently use Homestead.com to manage and create my online store. Does anyone know of any other good storefront sites?
Please, no spam.

6 AnswersHockey1 decade agoHas anyone heard of a company called STR Healthcare International?
It is supposedly based in London. I got a work-at-home job offer from them through Monster, to cash checks for them and wire them 90% of the money. Sounds like a scam, but I thought I would check.

5 AnswersDrama1 decade agoHow do you plant daffodils and hyacinths that are already blooming?
I bought some hyacinths and daffodils last week that are blooming this week. When should I plant them outside? What kind of soil/sun do those plants like? Is there a good way to grow them inside? All I have found so far is how to plant bulbs in the fall.
5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoMy cat has been in heat for a month - what can I do?
I want to get my cat spayed, but she's been in heat for over a month, and I know it is not wise to get her spayed while she's in heat. Is this normal? What can I do?
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoHow to make cat in heat quieter and more comfortable until I get her spayed?
My cat is meowing VERY loudly because she's in heat, and I'm sure our neighbors downstairs aren't happy. Also, with the sounds she's making, it sounds like she can't be very happy. I have an appointment next month to get her spayed (that's when I'll be able to pay the vet - I want to be able to afford the surgery and pre-surgery blood testing and painkillers), but until then, is there anything I can do to get her to be quieter and more comfortable? Thanks!
6 AnswersCats1 decade agoIs there a such thing as an electronic bobbin winder for DMC plastic bobbins?
I cross stitch and I have at least one of every color. I was wondering if there was a machine that would wind skeins of embroidery floss onto plastic/cardboard floss bobbins.
1 AnswerHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoWhat is the cheapest online embroidery digitizing service?

I am looking to narrow down my options. I would need something with around 6 heads and a 5x7 stitch area. What are best options in terms of quality and price?
2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoDeveloper question- drop menus and frames/edit area?
I am using MoreMotion Web Express to develop my website. I would like visitors to be able to pick a page from a drop down page on the left, and then have that page appear in an area in the middle, so that the rest of the site stays the same, sort of like a frames page. Anyone have any idea how to do that? Thanks!
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoBusiness packaging - where do I find plastic string-close envelopes?
I'd like to use plastic/vinyl 8 1/2 x 11 envelopes that close with a string (like an interoffice envelope) for my business. I've seen them before, but now I can't find them anywhere. I've tried Staples, Walmart, Google, eBay - no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
1 AnswerSmall Business1 decade agoPC does not recognize blank disc in DVD/CD-RW drive?
I have an HP Pavilion a1230n and the person who owned it before me installed Vista on it. Now I have to find a new driver for EVERYTHING, but I can't seem to find one for this DVD/CD-RW drive, even on the HP website. When I put a blank CD in the drive, the computer does not recognize it. If I have to replace the drive because it's not compatible w/ Vista, I'm downgrading to XP. That will be the last straw. Does anyone know where there is a Vista driver for that DVD/CD-RW drive?
5 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoPC does not recognize my microsdhc card?
I just bought a new microsdhc card because I am getting an LG Voyager soon. However, I have a Samsung Alias until then because no new Voyagers are being shipped until Verizon finishes with a software update. So now I have a computer that does not recognize the microsd hc card (an HP Pavilion a1230n) and a phone that does not seem to recognize it either. The main problem is the computer it has a microsd slot, but of course this does not read the new hc card- is there a card reader I can buy so that I can use the hc card with my computer? I am running Windows Vista also; that might be part of the problem - it usually is, lol.
1 AnswerOther - Hardware1 decade agoWhat is the best printer for my small business needs?
I am starting a craft business, and I need a printer that will be able to handle printing small details on high quality paper (like a card stock, but not quite as heavy). I'll be printing cross-stitching patterns, so its important that it can produce relatively sharp detail. An inkjet would be preferable, something the ink doesn't cost a fortune for. It's not necessary that it is an All-in-One - I'm wary of those since you often sacrifice printing quality.
