Gay marriage question about the Laws and the Constitution.?
I’m not interested debating the right or wrong of gay marriage, just the legal question so objective answers are appreciated.
If gay couple gets married in California then moves to another state that prohibits gay marriage. The Defense of Marriage Act says states do not have to recognize marriages performed in other states. However the “Full Faith and Credit” clause of the Constitution appears to requires they do.
Doesn’t the Constitution take priority over any law that Congress passes? Doesn’t the US Constitution take priority over any state constitution.

Read the story below about a 10 year old girl with an easily treatable illness. I would like to hear from any Christian who thinks God want's us to sit by and watch our kids die.

2 AnswersElections1 decade agoChristians, does your church perform second marriages against Jesus’ command?
Matthew 5:32 “But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.”
Will your pastor perform or allow a marriage between a man and woman who have been divoiced?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWho is right on closing Guantanamo Bay prison?
Mit Romney wants to double the size of the prison. Adm. Mike Mullen (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs) wants to close it.
Does the admiral know what he is talking about, or is he just a liberal sissy who hates America?
Politics1 decade agoReligious conservatives think sex education should be taught at home, why do they want religion in school?
If you don't trust the public schools to teach kids about sex, why do they trust them to teach them about religion? (prayer, creationism, etc.)

After all, if no one would hire them, they wouldn't be here.
9 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoHow would history judge FDR if after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor he attacked Brazil?
Isn’t that kind of what Bush did? A Saudi guy (bin Laden) who was hiding out in Afghanistan ordered an attack on us and we attacked Iraq.
14 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhich is better for America “Tax and Spend” Democrats or “Borrow and Spend” Republicans?
Government spending has been out of control since Dubbya took office (6 years with a republican Congress) and with the lower taxes we have been borrowing money from China like crazy. Does anyone think that’s a good thing? I mean, don’t we have to pay that back sooner or later?
Republicans talk about fiscal discipline and reduced government spending during speeches, but they don’t seem to vote that way. So they cut taxes, spend more and borrow to cover the rest.

7 AnswersElections1 decade agoShould we pass a law that requires medical providers to charge…?
people without insurance the same fees they charge the insurance companies?
I have insurance through my employer. My wife recently went to a lab for several blood tests. Because of a paperwork mix up the lab did not get our insurance info and sent me a bill for $850. After I gave the lab the correct info, I received the EOB from the insurance company and they settled the entire balance for just under $70. (a 91.2% discount).
I have to believe that the lab is still making money even at the reduced rate so they are really screwing over anyone without insurance.
