  • How much packaging is on Children's Benadryl? Did someone tamper with my box?

While the box of Children's Benadryl I bought today was sealed, the inside contained just the bottle and the dosage cup. I'm used to having the lid on the bottle sealed up with plastic as well. At least that's how Children's tylenol and motrin seem to come packaged. Does anyone have an unopened box they can check to see what sort of packaging is contained within the box? I'm not sure whether or not this box might have been tampered with. Thanks for checking for me!

  • What Sacramento area used children's clothing store gives the best deal for sellers?

I have lots and lots of girls clothing sized 3 months to 4 years. It's all different seasons, so I'm trying to sort it into cool and hot months. Does anyone know of the best place to sell to? The places I know of in our area are Once Upon a Child, Rattles to Riches, and Lil' Botique. Does anyone know of any others? What's the best way to get the best price for the clothing I take in?

  • In sewing, do you press seams open before or after finishing the edges?

If I'm following a pattern with a 5/8" seam allowance, and I sew a straight stitch seam along the allowance, should I press this seam and then overcast the edges together or should I sew the seam, overcast the edges of the seam together and then press the seam? Also, if using a 5/8 inch seam allowance, is it prefereable to press the seam open on both sides or press to one side? Or should I cut the seam down to a 1/4: before overcasting? I'm making children's clothing for my two girls. (And, no, I don't own a serger, but I do have a pretty decent sewing machine).

  • Any game ideas for a 2nd baby shower that will have moms and kids (toddler - preschool age) attending?

This will be a party for a 2nd time mom (she has a 4 year old daughter) and will be part playdate, part baby shower. She doesn't know the gender of her 2nd baby. Since all of us have had one or two baby showers ourselves, we know most of the ol' standby's. I'm looking for ideas to either include our kids or ideas we can play with them nearby.

  • How can I keep a neighhbor's cat from trying to enter our house?

We don't own a cat, but ever since Halloween night, a neighborhood cat (with a collar but no ID) has been trying to get into our house whenever we open the front door. It's never been allowed to stay and we generally were able to get it out within a minute or two. I took it around to several neighbors asking if the cat belonged to them, but with no luck. It doesn't like to be held or touched (though I'm a dog person, so maybe this is normal cat behavior). Today it got into the house and stayed for 45 minutes hiding under my daughter's crib. It looks healthy and clean. It's definitely not getting food from us. Our dog eats in the backyard and he's a labrador so there is never food left in his bowl! Does anyone have a humane suggestion for trying to keep this cat from sneaking between our legs every time we open our door? WHY does it want to get into our house so badly?
