My friend created a vb project in Visual Studio 2005 with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 in her computer. Then, I transfer her project to my computer in which Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 were installed. However, when I run the project, I got the following error on the web browser:

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

So, I go to 'SQL Server Surface Area Configuration'. When the window popped up, I clicked on 'Surface area configuration for services and connections'. And I got this error:

Computer localhost does not exist on the network or the computer cannot be configured remotely verify that the remote computer has the required windows management instrumentation components and then try again

A friend will be leaving overseas and we won't be seeing each other for a very long time.

I would like to make a very simple farewell dinner/party, but at the same time a memorable one. It's only for very few close friends.

I don't know how to go about doing it.

And I also don't know where we should do it.

Someone wants to borrow a VCD from me. However, I do not want her to copy my VCD to her computer or something like that. Let's say... If I lend her my VCD, and she return it to me the some other day, can I check the VCD to see if it's being copied or not? Is it possible?

I've created my own security-enabled wireless network. When I click connect, there should be a pop-up message to ask me to key in the WEP key. After that, I can surf the net. But when I click connect, how come there's no pop-up message for me to key in the WEP key at all?

After I've create my own wireless network, I click on Connect on my SSID. After that, in the list, it states that I am not connected. However, I can surf the net. I check all my network connections. I swear none of it is connected, and I wasn't connected to anything at all. How can I still surf the web? But when I disabled my wireless router, I cannot surf the web already. Why is that so? What am I suppose to do?

After clicking F5 to view my project in web browser in asp.net web application (VB .NET), this error message is shown:
