  • Hello, Thai friends. Can I ask you what this song mean?.?

I love this Thai song very much. I can make out some of the Thai words. But I want to know the detailed meaning. Can someone translate this song for me in English?.

    Thanks in advance!.

  • Why was Rommel so popular?

Rommel was very popular. Even the generals of the Allied forces had a very high regard for him. Many books were written about him. • Hitler's right-hand man, Martin Bormann whereabouts?

Of all Hitler's henchmen, Martin Bormann was the most mysterious. Many historians claim that he is dead and many others claim that he is alive. Those who claimed that he is dead, didn't have any evidence of his body being ever found. He just simply disappeared and never heard of since leaving Hitler's bunker. Does anyone know where he really is?.

  • Why was Saddam Hussein not tried in the Hague?

Saddam Hussein is dead now, so it doesn't matter anymore. But I am just curious to know.

Slobodan Milosevic, the former dictator-president of Yugoslavia was responsible for millions of his countrymen's deaths during his brutal program of ethnic-cleansing in Serbia, Kosovo, Slovenia, and Croatia. After being ousted from power, he was given up to the Hague for genocide trial.

On the other hand, Saddam Hussein was kept under U.S. military custody throughout his captivity. Why was he not handed over to the Hague for trial as well?.

Why were the two tried differently?. Is there no single procedure to try similar cases?. Because Milosevic could have been tried by the Yugoslavs as well.

  • Is it true that the Vatican assisted ex-Nazis to escape to South America?

It was alleged that after World War 2 many ex-Nazis, in order to to evade capture and trial as war criminals, escaped by crossing the German border through Switzerland and into Rome. The Vatican then assisted these ex-Nazis for their eventual escape to South America. Is this true or just another conspiracy theory?.

  • Do you believe that in 1941, Pres. Roosevelt must have had responsibility for the Pearl Harbor attack?

I am studying WW2 history. Most history books say that Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor forced USA's entry in WW2. Historically correct. But there are some books that claim more than that. Those books (not many) say that Roosevelt had prior knowledge of that attack. US military intelligence were intercepting and reading coded Japanese military and diplomatic messages. Roosevelt was informed of Japanese plan of attack on Pearl Harbor. At the time, Congress, being isolationist is against US involvement in any war (only token materiel support to England). So Roosevelt intentionally witheld this information. Commanders in Hawaii were not given this knowledge either, and so no preparation was made by them. And so the Japanese attack happened without much resistance. The next day, Roosevelt gave his famous "Day of Infamy Speech" before Congress. From isolationist attitude, Congress now unanymously voted for declaration of war. So US was finally at war with Japan.

    Your opinion about this?.

  • Do you consider atomic bombing of Hisroshima and Nagasaki during WW2 a genocide?

Right after World War2, tribunals (Nuremberg Trials & Tokyo War Crimes Trials) were established to prosecute those guilty of war crimes and atrocities commited during World War2. Within the framework of War Crimes cases is a category so called "Crimes Against Humanity". Both Germany and Japan were found guilty on that category of War Crimes. What is your opinion regarding the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings. Should they have been considered as war crimes?. Apply clear and honest thinking and put aside biases. This is still very controversial issue.

  • Could Germany have won World War II because of it's wonder weapons?

We all know that Germany is close to developing wonder weapons in World War II (first jet engines for fighter planes, rocket driven ballistic missiles, infra-red sights for artillery cannons, armor-piercing ammunitions, night-vision scopes, their own version of atomic bomb). If Germany was not yet defeated in 1945, and if the war went on for one or two more years, could these new weapons had won for them World War II?.
