With the Covid19 death toll surpassing 100,000 in the UK was Boris Johnson briefed as to the comments he should make?

I'm sure his statement ‘we did everything we could’ would have been ill advised.

In such a statement it gives connotation that he has washed his hands of the matter and should have said "We are doing all we can......" i.e. in the present tense.

Did anyone see the Chinese miners being rescued?  The reason I ask is because the  ones that I saw weren't even dirty.

Now I know he's not on the same planet as everyone else.

What's got my goat is that they've got celebrities like Joanna Lumley advertising on it for them. My point is that we are already buying power from Virgin and don't need tempting (not that it makes any difference anyway because none of them would persuade me.) I think that they could do away with the celebrity endorsement and give us cheaper bills.

I was talking to a friend the other day, in the supermarket, and she happened to say that her husband was working in Portsmouth. She mentioned that the yard was teeming with Polish workers. I'd have thought that it would only have been British workers in such a sensitive area. Apparently not. Not if the price is right!!!

I was reading up on the Victoria Hall Disaster in Sunderland in which 183 children between the ages of 3 to 14 were killed and came across a 4 year old called Newrick Briggs. I don't know if it's a little girl or boy as I've never heard of the name before.

I find it amazing that she was missing for 3 days before anyone noticed. She went missing on the "Disney Wonder" cruise ship. There must be cctv all over the ship.

You can't drop a piece of paper nowadays without being caught on camera. It's said to protect the public but here it has let us down.
