  • FMLA leave?

I have approved FMLA paperwork due to an extensive surgery 2 weeks ago. Today I get a call from my job telling me I still have to call in sick every three days so they know I am not coming to work. Is this legal? They already have completed and approved paperwork

  • Employer change requirements to get level raises?

We have levels that had to be achieved by a certain date. Now they are telling us, even though we have been at these levels for 5 to 6 years, they have changed their minds and we must do more requirements or they will take our "levels" away and knock our pay down. Can they legally do that? The new requirements are the stupidest thing in the world, and has to do with "LEAN" programs. I don't see how they can say all of a sudden that oops, you now must do THIS class and that class, and teach this or you lose your level.

  • Is it legal for a company to do this?

I work for a company that gives me X amount of dollars to help pay for my benefits. They have hired a company who looks over your health survey they make you fill out and determine if you are healthy or need some "improvements" in some areas. My company is now making it so you have to take this other companies calls, and "participate in health coaching" or they will not give you the money to pay for your benefits. Is this even legal? Can your employer have people bothering you at home, calling and telling you what to do with your health?

  • Citizenship for my husband?

I have been married to a Swede now for 5 years and we have lived in the US together for 4. We want to file for citizenship and I just wanted to ask the people who seem to be well versed a couple questions.

Do we file the N400 paperwork for this process? He is already a 10 yr green card holder, we are in good standing and all that jazz.

Is this all we need to do is file this paperwork, and he studies for the test, we pay the 500 bucks and thats it? What happens if he should fail the test.. do we have to pay that 500 bucks to take it again?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Medical bills and collections?

I had 2 major surgeries 2 months apart, and I am making regular monthly payments on my bill at the one surgeons office. We agreed on a certain amount and thats what they have been getting. I just got a letter that says if not paid in full they will turn it over to collections. Now I thought if you were making regular payments on a bill they could not turn it into collections? IS that not the case? I have not missed ONE payment since having the surgery.
