I was recently offered a teaching position (my first). A couple days after the interview the principal called and offered the position to me. She then said that she would be sending a recommendation to the school board for their review. Does this mean that it is possible for the school board to deny me a contract? Or is this just a formality to decide on a salary/contract proposal and do I already have the job?

I recently took the Praxis II for technology education. The exam was a joke and a complete insult to myself and my colleagues. It was easy and I passed with a score well above average. The questions were completely unrelated to technology education and very poorly written. This is something that definitely needs reform. Is there any way to get a copy of my actual exam? (NOT test scores) Or is it possible to see the test?

Yesterday I traded cars with my father-in-law because he was helping me fix mine. On my way to work I was pulled over for going 6 miles over the limit. My father-in-law smokes swisher sweet cigars constantly so the car has a sweet tobacco smell. When the woman gets up to my window she asked for my license and registration then immediately says, "so are you gonna tell me where the weed is or am I gonna have to search your car?" I replied with "mam, there are no drugs in this car". Then she goes on to threaten to search the car and says if I have less than 30 grams its just a citation so I should just turn it over. She asked me where I was coming from and I said my apartment then she says "and they were smoking weed there?" Which made me laugh...it was 11:30am. But then I reached for the glove box to look for the registration and a 5 pack of swishers fell out and I showed them to her saying "see this is what he smokes, this is what you smell". Then she says "actually we call those blunts, I'm sure you know but people take the tobacco out and smoke weed out of those." I finally found the registration and she went back to her car. All the anxiety caused me to start having a panic attack where I just start crying for no reason and have trouble breathing. I got control of myself before she came back and she says "so are you gonna hand the weed over? I know you're not carrying bricks so it will just be a citation" and I finally lost it and yelled "there is no weed in this car! Please search the car, I want you to search the car! Then she said well let me see your purse. All I have is a little pouch with my license, debit card and $3. I waved it and said this is my purse go ahead and search it. She peered into the still open glove box and then said she had another call. She also added that either I was telling the truth or I just pulled a big one over on her. And that I shouldn't drive that car around smelling like that. And finally let me go making me 15 minutes late for work. Should I file a complaint? And how? I feel like my rights were violated.

I was helping my friend clean out is grandmother's house and we cam across a small cardboard box packed with clay pipes and wood chips. On the box was a note that said 'In 1980 I dropped this box and broke one pipe but the rest are fine." So the note indicates that the pipes are from before 1980. "GERMANY" is stamped on each pipe. They are all simple, one piece pipes. Can you tell me where they might have come from?

I have a 1998 Subaru Legacy Wagon. I've been using the emergency release on my car to shift out of park for a couple days now. (I'm awaiting my next pay day). I usually only drive during the day but last night I noticed none of my brake lights were working. All fuses have been checked so I'm 95% sure it is the brake light switch. I'm just wondering if this is somehow connected to not being able to shift out of park. If so, that would be awesome and I could fix it myself for less than $25.

I have a 1998 Subaru Legacy wagon and sometimes it will not shift out of park. I checked the fuses below the steering wheel to the left and none of them seemed to be blown. When I press the button in on the shaft I hear a click coming from the steering wheel area. Currently, I have taken the assembly around the shaft apart and I can push the lever down to shift. There was a drink spilled on this area and I have cleaned everything so I'm thinking it is a wire or fuse I just need to know where and which one. Also, the light bulb that lights up the gear (R,D,1,2,3) has been out from sometime. (I this is just bc the bulb is out tho) Thanks for the help.

I took a manufacturing class this spring and we went to Germany for ten days. I am writing an essay about the trip and I keep finding myself wanting to type awesome and remarkable to describe everything. What are some other words I can use to avoid being redundant?

About 1 out of every 20 times I start up my computer it will boot but will not run explorer. The screen will be black with only the recycle bin folder showing. I can boot explorer from the task manager or I can restart my computer and it will run. I checked the shell file in the registry and there is nothing wrong there. I am running 64bit Windows 7 on an HP EliteBook 8540w. I use BitDefender for security. Any suggestions on trouble shooting? Thanks in advance.

In high school I would occasionally have random people approach me in public like at the grocery store or mall. Each of these people would say something along the lines of "Hello, how are you?" and shake my hand. I would return the handshake and tell them how I was then they would say "I'm not sure why but I just felt something that made me want to communicate with you and shake your hand." I usually replied with "well it was nice to meet you".

I had an interaction with a woman one summer when I worked at a private pool. She began talking to me about the weather and then gradually started telling me things about myself. She said I have an old but strong soul. She said that she new my family was going through a rough time and that my sisters had weak souls. I would have to be there for them. (This woman had never met me or my family and it just so happened that my parents were in the middle of a divorce.)

I moved out of state for college and it wasn't long before it began to happen again. Random people were approaching me at the grocery store. I once had a little girl (2-3yrs old) suddenly sprint toward me, away from her mom and hugged me. I definitely felt her energy and excitement but I have no idea why this happened. The girls mom apologized and I just said " oh its ok" (for lack anything else to say).

Can anyone make sense of this? I am not religious but I do study a lot of spiritual philosophies.

I have a Generalized Anxiety Disorder I have been coping with for about 3 years know. It all began with severe panic attacks where I couldn't breathe and would find my self gasping for air. After the first severe attack my doctor wanted to put me on anti-depressants. After trying 4 different kinds I gave up on them because I believe that it is important to cope with reality rather than just take a pill to make it all go away. I only had a few more of these attacks and then they stopped. At times of high stress levels I began to feel depersonalized/disembodied. Like I was a spectator of my actions. Sometimes I even have a feeling of derealization like I'm day dreaming. I was concerned at first but I later found that I enjoy these feelings. I enjoy my surroundings being unfamiliar and I enjoy the feeling of being disembodied. Its like I can reach a higher level of thinking/reflection. I guess my questions is: are the high anxiety levels that cause these feelings hazardous for my well being?

I was given this circut and I have to fine Vri, Iri, Irf, Vrf Vout and Av. I know how to do all the calculations but the picture my professor gave us does not have the voltage and has all these blue nubers and lines that have not been in any of our assignments and lectures. I'm march, I am going to study abroad I. Germany for two weeks. We will be in Munich most of the time touring the BMW place and some castles. I'm wondering where am I gonna need to go to find drugs. Pot, hash, mushrooms, acid whatever. And I will be able to take a train if needed.

I'm taking a college class called the history and philosophy of education. I'm going to school to teach college level computer graphics courses so in my four and a half years I haven't had any history or philosophy classes. Our exam is going to be 50 multiple choice questions. I have no idea how to organize any of the information we have been given. Please help. I've never been good at history and am new to philosophy.

I live in a four bedroom apartment within a complex with one roommate. So we have two empty bedrooms. We don't have to pay for the bedrooms because our leases are individual. We had a friend living with us last semester (with a lease) who moved out but still has stuff in his bedroom. He dipped out on his lease because he moved back home. In the bedroom that was never leased out we have stored the crappy furniture they provide like the bed and frame from my room and the tube television from the living room. Now you have the facts, here is what happened.

Yesterday two maintenance guys said they needed to check out our former roommate's bedroom so we let them in, they looked in it and saw his stuff then left. Then one of the maintenance guys returns with this birch who works in the office. When I opened the door she just stormed in back to the unoccupied bedrooms and was demanding to know who was living in the rooms and kicking stuff around. She also said if we didn't want to use their furniture that we had to bring it to the garage. She was yelling the entire time. We live on the third floor and over 100 yards away from the garage. I know we aren't supposed to use the rooms but I don't think its my responsibility to remove their furniture when I can just put it in the empty bedroom.

Anyway, not long after she left, we received phone calls from the head manager saying they would be sending a police officer to sort everything out. What would a police officer do? It doesn't make sense at all. I called the police department and they said they had not received any phone calls from landlords and that the situation is not something they would send a police officer out for. And in the midst of everything the power went out in our complex so we weren't able to call the office. Two hours later the power was back on and I called the manager back. She was surprised that an officer had not been there yet and said she had called their courtesy officer and that he would be by.
