Pipsy Dipstick
Initially I was extremely peeved that Channel 9 shows the cricket in delay. Now I love the fact.?
We,like a million others, watch the cricket on C9 but listen to the fantastic ABC radio.Initially it pissed me off that C9 couldn't keep up with the real time. Now we find it a real bonus that the ABC boys tell us what is going to happen and they are 100% right on every occassion. Now we know where to look for the action.Straight drive and we know where to look. Nick to 2nd slip and incredibly it goes to 2nd slip.I just love it.And we don't have to listen to the crappy commercials. Too good to be true.
2 AnswersCricket8 years agoI am sick and tired of my beloved Bulldogs always being near the bottom of the ladder.and I have a solution.?
OK we had a few good years but we are back with the cellar dwellers again. What about if we had a handicap season like the racing clubs have to even things up.The Doggies could start with a credit of 11 wins. That way we are in contention for a long way into the season.Port Adelaide and the two new clubs would have similar handicaps.Collingwood for instance could have a negative handicap of minus 3 .That way we can keep them out of the eight and don't have to put up with their histrionics at final time.
4 AnswersAustralian Rules8 years agoThe NSWFL season starts on Thursday. When does the AFL season start.?
A little bit of bias Andrew Dimitriou?
You would donate your left gooley to make this Sydney thing work.
3 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoIf my memory serves me correctly only two AFL/VFL players have ever had a hit record?
I am pretty sure they weren't huge sellers and probably didn't even make the top 40 but they were played on the wireless.
1 Can you name them?
2 Are there any others you can recall?
4 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoWho will be the first player reported and suspended this year. Discount the Micky Mouse Cup.?
I am tipping it will be a Collingwood player. I reckon FIGJAM Buckley will want to put his mark on the Pies by making them tough and ruthless. This plan may just backfire on him resulting in bookings and suspensions.
4 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoWe had a bloke at the Bulldogs who went to ground quicker and more easily than any player I have ever seen.?
His name was,and probably still is, Jimmy Sewell and his centre of gravity must have been around his ear holes.
Has anyone seen seen a player hit the deck more easily than Sewelly?
3 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoWithout doubt the biggest thug ever to hold a Brownlow Medal in his hand is Roberto Dipierdominco.?
I hated every moment of his alleged career as he elbowed smacked and generally hurt everyone he played against.
Now he has got as fat as a pig and Channel 9 is trying to entice us to watch the porcine like Dipierdemico lose the fat.
I would not watch this show if my life depended on it but Ch9 feel compelled to feature the rotund ex Hawthorn hitman at every commercial break.
My first instinct is to throw the telly to the shienhous but there are sill one or two shows that are tolerable.
What can I to avoid this grossly overweight porker?
5 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoIs Tendulker Peter Siddle's bunny?
Got him twice in this test without too much trouble
4 AnswersCricket9 years agoWhich English soccer side is the equivalent of Footscray (aka Western Bulldogs)?
I am looking for a side to take an interest in in the English Soccer League. I would like them to be the equivalent of the Doggies. Honest as the day is long and never ever give up.
No cheats like Collingwood. No AFL nursed sides like Carlton and Essendon. No quitters like Richmond. No interlopers like Sydney,Brisbane,Adelaide and the other manufactured sides.
Which side or sides am I looking at?
I would appreciate your thoughts.
4 AnswersAustralian Rules9 years agoMy 3 yo grandaughter has been taught the Collingwood theme song at kindergarten. WHO CAN I SUE?
As a passionate Doggie fan I would love for her to be a Doggie supporter. I have been backdoored by this sicko Pieman. Do I have any recourse???
8 AnswersAustralian Rules10 years agoThe Mighty Bulldogs have had some great full forwards over the years but who has been the best?
We have had some stars in front of the sticks but who has been the best? Personally I opt for L.Sandilands but there have been some better credentialed candidates such as Jack Collins,Kelvin Templeton,Danny Delre,Alan Jakovich,Aaron James,James Cook and Big Bad Bazza Hall.
For mine it's still Sandi.
4 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoYour thoughts on the history of the VFL/AFL?
Who would you consider to be the greatest asset ever to be involved in the our mighty game?
Who would you consider to be the person who hurt our game more than anyone else?
For my money I would say the mighty E.J.Whitten was the greatest asset our game ever had and his legacy still lives on.
No-one hurt our game more than Ross Oakley. He tried but failed to bury our game.
5 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoA question for Bulldogs supporters. Rate these people. The least liked first and downhill from there.?
Saddam Hussein.
Adolph Hitler.
Benito Mussolini.
Pol Pot.
Muamur Guddafi.
Ross Oakley.
My ranking.
Least liked............. Ross Oakley.
The rest..................Ross makes them look good.
6 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoAndrew Demetriou is now on $2.2 million dollars a year. Is he worth even a fraction of this?
At a couple of mill per annum I would assume that the Demetriou's biggest goal would be to persuade CH7 to show Friday night's games live.
Kerry Stokes gave him the bird and said we will think about it in 5 years.
An abysmal performance Demetriou.
You may enjoy gardening shows while the footy is live but so many of us just won't accept it.
Earn your huge pay packet you loser.
9 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoHave the once "Tough as nails" Richmond Tigers lost their pluck?
A little bit of rain in The Alice and the Tiges squib it and refuse to play.
Once the Tigers would have gone through hell and high water for a game of footy.
Looks like another ninth is looming.
2 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoI received a bottle of Bulldog labelled sparkling brut for Christmas. When should we drink it?
Not sure how long sparkling plonk lasts but I'm torn between when we win the Micky Mouse Cup again or wait until we win the real one at the season end.
I'm thinking the 2011 flag would be the best time.
Any thoughts?
10 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoDoes Andrew Hilditch watch any other side apart from NSW. Even he can't ignore this result?
DEC Bushrangers 4/226 (39.0)
RTA SpeedBlitz Blues All Out 225 (44.3)
An old bloke called Brad Hodge has killed them again
Play fair Hilditch if you have any concept of what that might mean.
4 AnswersCricket1 decade agoIt's Christmas time. Who do you think among all the VFL/AFL/VFA players would make the best Santa.?
Straight off the top of my noggin I would go for big Mick Nolan of the Kangas.
Plugger would be a likely candidate but he really didn't have that loving feeling.
Lally Bamblett was pretty chubby so he would be in line.
Stewart Dew would look pretty good in the red Santa suit.
Vic Aanensen was a big jolly sort of bloke but probably a little skinny.
5 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoWho does new Victorian Premier Ted barrack for?
Bracksy barracks for the Catters and they came up trumps.
Brumbles is a Maggie and they fluked one this year.
The very lovable Jeff Kennett is a Hawks man and they also won one recently.
It may be worthwhile having a drachma or two on Teddy's side for a flag.
I doubt very much if he would be a Doggie man but one never knows
2 AnswersAustralian Rules1 decade agoAt this early stage I am tipping a Bulldogs V Carlton Grand Final in 2011. Who will win.?
I reckon these two sides will be cherry ripe for success next year. I am tipping and hoping it will be the Scraggers but who do you tip?
