Does carprofen dog medicine make a dog extra thirsty? Should I worry?
Hi there! My vet is closed right now, so I can't ask them. My dog started the anti-inflammatory pill carprofen during the summer, and I have noticed here and there that he is drinking quite a bit more water than he used to. Not like a disturbing amount, we only refill his bowl about two times a day now, whereas before, he would barely get through a whole bowl. I was just wondering, has anyone had there dog on this medicine before, and know if this is pretty normal? He is not having any other issues. He is using the bathroom as normal etc. And the reason he is on the med in the first place is because of a torn ACL : ( Anyway, I am just a worried dog momma, any answers would be wonderful, no one ever answers back my questions lol if you know the answer, please help me out : ) thanks so much : )
6 AnswersDogs4 months agoWhat kinds of foods did you eat while healing from stomach ulcers?
I have stomach ulcers and was told my stomach lining is pretty much gone as of now, due to ibuprofen usage. With a case of gastritis as well. As of now I am only allowed foods that are softer than mashed potatoes, like soup, apple sauce, pudding, etc. But soon I will be gradually working my way up and out of this diet, as my meds heal my tummy, and I am trying to get ideas of what is good to eat, and what to stay away from. Also, does anyone know if strawberries are a no go? I have frozen berries I was gonna make a smoothie with, but I wasn't sure about that. Thanks very much.

2 AnswersDiet & Fitness6 months agoCan I draw money from a gift of equity loan?
Hi there, I am in the process of buying a house from my grandpa through a gift of equity loan. Basically, the house is appraised at 284,000 and he is selling it to me for 200,000. I am planning to use this equity as a down payment on my house. I was told that utilizing it as a down payment does not "use" your equity however. So I was wondering if I could somehow draw from that money shortly after buying the house for purposes of makong repairs to the house, or paying off some other loans I have? Or is this just not allowed as I am utilizing this equity as my down payment? If I can I am assuming there is a refinancing process I would have to do. Which seems silly to do right after purchasing a house. Any thoughts??? Thanks : )
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 year agoHow to lose weight after anorexia? ?
Back in 2016-2017, I starved off 80lbs and worked out excessively. I got down to about 100 lbs. I would eat something small maybe once every 6 days or so. When I realized how horrible this was, and that this was not the good example I wanted to set for my daughter, I started eating healthy foods, but in pretty minimal amounts. I gained about 70-80lbs back. I ate 500 calories per day and worked out, but gained all that weight back. I have changed my thinking about weightloss and don't want to starve. I wanna be healthy. Every time I eat a normal amount of food for weightloss I gain tons of weight. I have tried keto and WW. Gained. I am kinda trapped in a box where If I eat 500 calories and don't workout, I gain weight(alot of weight). If I eat 500 calories and burn off 600+ calories per day- my weight stays the same. If I eat more than 500 calories and workout, I still gain weight, gain inches too! My body is just saying "Sorry- no food allowed!" I know I need to eat more technically to lose weight, but everytime I try, I just gain... I eat super healthy foods. Chicken breast, veggies, small amounts of fruits. I don't eat bread or processed stuff. My husband just did keto- we ate the same kinds of foods, and he lost 40 lbs! So yeah, I'm confused. I knew people who were living with anorexia before have a hard time losing weight later, but yeesh. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue? Thanks!ps: I do excersize on a daily basis. I burn about 600 calories from exercise per day.
Diet & Fitness1 year agoCan I do yoga to replace my cardio workout?
So I have lost 85lbs, and have kept it off for almost two years. As of now I am using my elliptical machine so maintain my weight and a few at home excersizes, planks, situps, push ups, lunges, and squats. But I am getting so bored of the elliptical now! So I was wondering if I tryed yoga mixed with all of the other small excersizes that I've been doing, will that still keep my weight off? I've never done yoga, it looks challenging, therefore less boring! Lol plz let me know your thoughts. Just ready to switch it up a bit. Thanks
In advance : ) have a great day
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness6 years agoPLZ HELP! How to get rid of bed bugs?!!!!?
First off, please don't judge me as a gross dirty person, I an extremely clean person, I have no friggin idea how we ended up with bed bugs. Yuck. So, we've been getting bit by a "mysterious something" for about a month and a half, and during that time I have checked my bed countless times with a flashlight at night hopingto figure out what was biting us with no luck. It wasn't until tonight that I Finally found a bed bug-then a little clan of bed bugs! I have looked up different ways to get rid of them, I just need to know from people who have had bed bugs, how did you get rid of your infestation completely? What worked for you? Also, being that we've been getting bit for over a month, does that mean my couches would be infested too? I cant see any-but look how long it took me to find these. Please help me out with this I woild truely appreciate it. And plz no mean comments, I didn't do anything wrong to get these bugs, it just happens I guess. Thanks for the help in advance!
2 AnswersCleaning & Laundry6 years agoHow do I get rid of fleas in my house?!?
So about a two weeks ago, I noticed my dog had a flea on him, this was getting near the end of the month, and he wasn't due for another flea treatment for a couple of days. But as soon as I noticed the flea, I gave him his bath, and put a new months dose of revolution flea treatment on him. The next day, I noticed a couple of flea bites on my arm. I chalked it up to me bathing him. Long story short, my dog no longer has fleas, but now our family is getting bit like crazy every day for the last two weeks. We have never had this problem in the past, and this is driving me nuts, I am an extremely clean typeof person, and like my home to look and feel clean always. I have washed and dried everything that will fit into the machine atleast 10 times. I am vacuuming 2-3 times a day (stay at home mom-losts of time to obsess!) Lol. Inculding the vacuuming of all couches, dog bed, and all beds in the house. Washed all clotes etc. Also have bought every enforcer brand product for treatment for the carpets, and furniture. Im kindof at a loss, and here's the big kicker .. I have only come across ONE flea this whole time. I know they lay lots of eggs, but this is just rediculous.my child just started school, and has bug bites on her arms- these bugs have to go! Please tell me what has worked for you!All help is sooo appreciated! Thank you so much, and please no mean comments, I take wonderful care of my pet, he has flea treatment every month, one just slipped through the crack apparently.
2 AnswersDogs6 years agoIs it normal to have constant pain in your mouth a month after getting a crown placed?
I went to the dentist for the first time in atleast 5 years ( lack of insurance and money) and ofcourse my first vist back, was 4 hours long and I had a couple of fillings done, and got a temporary crown. That caused alot of pain, eating only soup for weeks. Went back and got the permanent one placed, and it was perfect after that, my mouth was fine. For about a month. Now im in constant pain on the side of my mouth that has the crown , the crown area its self hurts and ALL of the teeth, gums, cheek and jaw hurt too. I jist dont get it, I brush, floss, and do mouthwash as I should, not eating anything crunchy. I could call the dentist, but frankly, after the crappy care I recieved there last time, id rather not run right back to the guy. Id like to wait til my next check up if possible. Anyway, does anyone know if this is normal, any non judgmental comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day.
3 AnswersDental6 years agoBest harness for a APBT? please read details?
Hello, we have a 64 lb. American pitbull terrier. And we are having some trouble finding the right kind of harness for him. He is a huge puller ( if you know the apbt breed, you know the kind of strength im talking about.) the problem is he is an escape artist on his walks. His head and neck are almost the same width, so he can easily back out of just about ANY collar. So we've decided to go with a harness, im completely done with trying just collars alone. I can't work on his pulling problem until I can get this escaping issue under control. We have seen those nylon kind and they look like they wouldn't put up much of a fight with his body strength. So then we were researching the leather kind. The ones that look like a big V shape on the front of their chest. And they look alot more sturdy, they also have padded versions which we were thinking of buying. My only concern would be if they would make the dog chafe. Need some advice on which kind to buy, not really too worried about price, I just need it to be sturdy, escape proof (mostly), and comfy for him. Please answer only if you have experience with bigger STRONG dogs. And please don't leave me any nasty comments about my dogs breed type because it would be a complete waste of your time and mine. Pitbulls are amazing : ) thank you in advance to all who try to help have a great day : )
5 AnswersDogs6 years agowhat would it cost roughly for a family of 3 (2 adults, one child) to visit disneyland and cal. adventure parks for 4 day?
Im trying to get a feel of how much money to save to take my family to disneyland. (Not including travel cost to get to CA) We would like to stay at a disney resort, not anything fancy, but still at the resort. Planning to go to both parks, and want to beable to spend comfortably. I don't want to be on a huge budget, but not millionaire status.lol. We've never been on a big vacation yet, so I want to splurge a bit. So I guess what im asking would be a total estimate of hotel, food, souvenirs, any extra costs for shows etc. 4 days. ---unless you all think 4 days at disneyland would be overkill, then 3 days. Like I said we've never been, so I have no idea. Any help would be amazing! Thanks so much in advance : )
2 AnswersLos Angeles6 years agobreast lump in 26 year old woman need advice please?
Hello, I came across a lump in my upper left breast area. Almost the breast muscle area. Its not painful when I push on it, but my breast is sore on and off throughout the day, and I get these random shooting pains, ( almost like a shooting star would do) kinda silly to expain it that way, but thats the best way to describe it. I have been very dizzy and nauseous lately, throwing up too. And also have had what feels like an ear infection. My mom had breast cancer at 46, but due to my age, and the pains in my breast, and the ear problems, im thinking this could be more of like a swollen lymph node or something? I just got new insurence, and have to pay the first $2000 of doctor visits before they will pay for anything, so unless it seems like something serious I really dont want to go to the doc if I dont have to. Any advice would be very helpful. Also a bit about me, generally healthy, excersize, I do drink coffee all day long tho. But also alot of water. Thanks for any help : )

2 AnswersOther - Diseases6 years agogetting my dog fixed?
So I made an appointment to get my 1 yr old pit labmix neutered. And I guess im just curious if this will change his personality at all? Im still going to get him fixed even if it does a little bit, because I think dogs should get fixed ( esp.pits are prone to testicular cancer) I just want to know what to expect. He's still a pup, fun, happy, and extremely active, and he's such a big cuddle bug. Those things I would hope to stay the same. Then on the other hand, he gets EXTREMELY excited when people come over, to where he jumps on them and pretty much can't control himself. Now I know the jumping won't be fixed that takes on going training with him, but I keep getting conflicting answers from friends telling me it wont help him calm down. I just really hope this won't change my doggie too much cuz I love him the way he is, any thoughts? Thank you

I got down to 115 and would really like to know if there is anyway I can get rid ofthis extra skin. Ive done everything I can excersize wise to get rid of it. But my doc says it requires surgery forsure. Any ideas would be so appreciated thank u
17 AnswersOther - General Health Care6 years agoShould I go to the chiropractor?
Im 26 years old, and was rear ended last month while waiting at a stop light. I was referred to a message therapist, and she says I also need to see a chiropractor due to some serious curve in my spine. I have heard some good things about the chiro, but also alot of people are telling me "dont go, you will have to continue to go back forever, which will cost a ton of money!" I have a claim going, that will cover everything as of now.But I do want to know if this will just be a quick fix, or will I get stuck needing chiro for the rest of my life-because I certainly cannot afford that. Thanks for any help : )
