Given all the outlooks on what the Bible REALLY means, why, if this a book of the ways and means of God and his son Jesus, directing people to behaive in certain "positive" ways, is it so murky?

Important issues in behavior and conduct can be very awdward to understand. Why, if God had wanted humanity to behaiv in a certain appropriate way is this the case?

To make it easier, give a percentage of how much of your life you feel is GOOD/HAPPY/FULFILLING or Medium/Neutral or BAD/HORRIBLE/PAINFUL.

BE as truthful as you can and don't let others answers deter you from telling YOUR truth about this.

Since no one thinks well of the USA anyway and since we apparently because we are so "BAD" with our weapons and have the best military on the planet and so on; WHY don't we start sucking up some of that Iraqi oil either for free or for a good price?

We have spent trillions in that arena for the benefit of those people supposedly. When and where do the SPOILS go to the winners?

This war has cost us a bundle. It has made a handful of Americans filthy rich. The American people have born the burden of this "ACTION" that Bush put upon us, financially. Why are WE not benefiting from this?

I'm being a little sarcastic here but why are we not taking what we need from this country's oil supply to some degree. Any thoughts or ideas.

I have a home that apparently has (perhaps), a family of skunks that have tried to start living under several landing like decks on the property.

I have blocked off their entrances ...they dig new ones to come and go.

I am considering throwing moth balls under the deck to "peu" their noses ....course they may LIKE the smell.

What to do?

Anyone have any good ideas on how to humanely if possible, get the skunks to move on ...without upsetting them too much? ;>)

OK, so we elect BO and he ends the Iraq war. So the next move is to get serious up in Afgahn. Then there is the likely-hood, according to him that we may need to jump in and start up with Iran.

When will this stuff all end? How can we continue to pay for all this?

Those of you who want Obama for his "end the war" directive, why is he any different than McCain?

If even part of this war approach is made good or needed to be put into effect, how can the USA ever hope to survive financially? Seems to me it would be a lot smarter to tighten/close our borders and get real careful how we let people into our country with all that WAR money.

A friend of mine is legally able to purchase smoking Marij. for his cancer ridden and dieing father. There is a Doc's scrip for purchasing this to aleviate nausea.

In another case, a woman who has a legal scrip. for Marijuana for the same symptoms due to cancer and Rx use causing nausea, is radically hassaled whenever she leaves the country as somehow this legal use has entered her Fed "files" and they harrass her, apparently for hours each time she attempts to re enter the USA.

My question is: Is this standard practise by the Fed government AGAINST States allowing legal use of this drug, or is there some mystery//reason about this haranged woman that seems to be mistreatment by the Feds?

Is a person legally "safe" to take and use Marijuana if it is allowed in their US location, prescribed by a Doc and can they be mistreated, held up without good cause when entering or leaving the country?

When you watch the skill of the respective "let's get elected management" of each candidate, WHICH ONE looks like the organization that will help save this nation?

Does America need to focus and protect ourselves from this kind of racism, or are we just going to let it go like we have the borders, illegal immigration and a host of other ills our society faces? (Note, the Latin gangs are the one's attacking others for racial differences allegedly here.)

So both of our two patsier wanna be a Pres. kinda guys keep changin around on us, right? So, good or bad all we got to look at is how they conducted themselves BEFORE they got in the race.

The lives of both generally disappoint or disgust me mostly, with some OK things too. Hey, they are humans (I guess).

Let's face it, these illegals come here because they have been ALLOWED to and have been LURED to as well from what I can see.

The crooked corporations and others who hire them, as well as the rest of us in many ways let this happen. Is it FAIR or right after kind of enslaving ignorant workers to come and bring their fams etc, pay them squat ...and then drive them out one way or the other?

I personally feel this IS the right course but it should be done with some notice and perhaps it could be worked out that they pay some fines that are sizable ( I'd like to see some corporations nailed this way too) and once those fines are paid, move towards citizenship. I don't think it should be as easy (and you KNOW it's not easy) as those that get legal citizenship have to endure.

How do you feel about this? Clearly, many of these people contribute (but they do in the overall TAKE more than they give) here. Seems their kids and non worker types should go home

Do you think that by not giving illegals jobs, by providing punishment for those that give them work illegally and by denying illegals education for their illegal children will serve to automatically "encourage" them to leave on their own?

I think there are cofused people on this site that think they need to be "thrown" out. Just don't reward them is my thought.

Several States have started this and these illegals leave on their own. Can YOU justify amnesty when it is clear not employing them illegally and stopping some services seems to do the job?

If you look around you, you see some States like the loons that run Calif. not enforcing immigration laws at all. In fact helping criminal crack dealers in San Francisco, to go back to their Honduranian homes, tax payer expense and against Fed. law. They appear not to want to pass a bill forcing all employers in the USA to use the E Verify program. Most other States are using this program effectively. This means the Fed Gov. will have to sue Calif to obey OUR LAWS.

Then ther is Oklahoma and Arizona that are enforcing the laws and getting real tough (maybe too tough) to the point of being a bit cruel ...BECAUS THE FED GOV. ISN'T DOING IT'S JOB AND ENFORCING IMMIGRATION LAWS PROPERLY.

They you have the New York crowd that wants to give the illegals Dr. Lic. and credit cards and the list goes on. Where and when will this insanity end? Either we throw the illegals out or make it impossible for them here ...or we just end the United States as it is. Obey the law or leave?

Read in the Chronicle today that the City of San Francisco, after apprehending 7 Honduranian Illegal immigrants who had be caught selling drugs to Americans, withheld these alleged criminal illegalls from ICE so as to deport them on the taxes of San Francisco taxpayers. The city acknowledges they wanted to allow them to come back and if ICE was involved, these criminals would never be able to return due to their criminal record. The city is actively providing sanctuary to and protection for illegals. This is clearly against Federal law. What is going on in our country, when City governments break the law openly and favor criminals over the benefit of it's citizens? Should the people who made these decissions be prosecuted and taken from office? (and by the way, these 7 criminals were put in such a non secure holding facility, they escaped and are now running around and free to attack our society and continue to break our laws.)

Read in a newspaper today that Gore's residence uses roughly 15+ times the energy of an average residential home.

Is this the evidence we expect from a Nobel Peace prize winner who is supposedly a leader helping the world be "GREENER". How can any of you consider this man is great or that we would want to have him be our leader as a VP or in any other form? Do you think it is time to deep six this man's political career?

This Texas man, shot and killed two guys he witnessed robbing his next door neighbor. He confronted them and then shot them ...in the back. They apparently fell and died on his property somehow so he got off the hook for murder. Grand jury let him off on defending himself apparently. I gotta wonder about shooting them in the BACK however. Wonder what went on? Seems to me this send an interesting message and I DO think it has to do with these guys being illegals. Whataya think?

I was told today by someone, that the laws for anchor babies have changed recently so that if a baby is born in this country, if the parents are illegal, the child is not a citizen until the age of 18. At that time, the parents may apply for citizenship in relationship to this birth child citizen and the child of course can come here as a normal, native citizen.

Is this true? If so, it does pretty much solve the illegal part of the problem as if the illegal parents stay and are caught, they get thrown out and cannot get citizenship thereafter.

These are folks, mostly illegals apparently, who are objecting to the American Government inforcing their laws against people who have come here criminally and who are taking jobs away from Americans.

Isn't that what our laws are for To protect us from people that would come here and operate against our laws and order?

These people are saying our laws aren't good for THEM and that we should change the laws for THEM and they are here illegally. What is wrong with this picture?
