Moms, would you be upset?
I was cooking and was told not to use a metal spatula on a very expensive nonstick skiller or whatever. Well, I used the wooden one like I was told to do. Then afterwards, I decided to clean it but didn't want it to get ruined in the dishwasher. So I soaked it and came back to it and scrubbed it out...but, I realized i was using this brillo pad like thing to scrub it and it has a million scratches all over it and it's ruined. I was trying to be extremely careful and didn't even realize that what i was scrubbing it with would be bad until afterwards.
Would you be mad/punish ove this? What would you want done to rectify this? It was an honest mistake and I actually tried to be extra careful and instead I ruined it and feel horrible.

Hi, I just wanted to get some opinion from parents because maybe I'm reading too far into this but....
So toady I wanted to cook by myself (16 and am a disaster in the kitchen) for everyone. I don't have much experience but everything is trial and error right? I was cooking for my family and some neighbors. Well, I was told that they would supervise just to make sure nothing caught on fire or there weren't potential dangers.
As I started cooking, they all just started taking over and doing almost everything for me. They even seasoned everything, fried it, etc. All I got to do was a little bit of prep work. It made me upset because I was trying to do something nice and try cooking an actual whole meal by myself with only supervision. Instead, I ended up blending into the background while they cooked and decided how much seasoning everything needed, how long it needed to cook, etc. Am I being too sensitive here? I was telling a friend of mine and I told him I didn't care if it tasted like crap because I just wanted to do it by myself; whether I failed or succeeded. He said "You say you don't care if it tasted like crap but they had to eat it too?" My point is, if I were a grownup and had kids I would let them try and if it turned out bad then so beit but at least they tried. I'm wondering if the reason my parents allowed the neighbors to intervene so much is because they were our guest but the neighbors knew i was the one that was cooking. But my parents have let me bake and cook breakfast even when it comes out badly, they don't intervene. So did they do this just because we had guests? Am I over reacting? Would you have intervened with your daughter or just let her try and fail (or maybe even succeed, who knows now)?

6 AnswersParenting1 decade agoMeals for family of 5-6?
Soon, I'm going to be planning meals for my family of 5 (2 adults 3 kids including myself, sometimes 4 kids...it depends if my adult sister comes over). Anyway, not sure what my budget will be but please keep the meals balanced. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated along with maybe the costs of said meals? I would be planning 2 weeks worth of meals (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Hi everyone. For Christmas I got a Medical Students' ideal present: A brand new skeleton. It was my favorite present I received. The only problem is, I am having a difficult time naming it. If you have any suggestions at all please let me know. Thanks :)

4 AnswersBiology1 decade agoIs it just me, or is this plagiarism?
I've only been using Yahoo Answers for about a week. I do like the site but in my opinion, it condones cheating. I've helped people on here with their homework in a variety of subjects, but what I have noticed is most students are posting their entire assignment and asking others to do it for them. This practice will not help them learn the material and when it comes time for a test, I don't foresee their teachers allowing them to post the test questions on Yahoo Answers! Every person I have helped or offered to help, I have asked that they FIRST provide an answer and I will correct it and show them where they went wrong.
They can be completely wrong and use a formula that doesn't make sense, but as long as they TRIED I will help them. However, most of the people on here are not TRYING, they simply just put up the problems and copy answers. What do you guys think? Shouldn't this be considered Plagiarism if they do NOT attempt the answer first and ask for someone to CHECK their work, not DO it for them? I'm 15 and I think it's important students do their own work!
