I have dark brown (medium chocolate, I'd call it) warm modern style leather sofa and love seat in a white room with 10 foot ceilings (I can't paint). The floors are oak, as is one book case (modern lines, arts and crafts style detail). The feet of the sofa are a dark walnut color. The accent pieces in the room will be yellow hues (artwork, vase, throw pillows).

What sort of area rug should I get? Colors, patterns? Links to examples would be awesome. I'm getting more furniture, but I think the rug could really warm up the room. I'm concerned about getting something that looks too country or contemporary against the modern lines of the furniture.

I am finishing up a really fantastic internship, and I want to get my boss a gift at the end of the summer. He was really a terrific boss, and I want to get him something nice. I am a biz school intern, so I have a higher pricepoint than the typical intern.

I was thinking of getting him a bottle of wine and a gift certificate to a restaurant, but are gift certificates tacky in this situation? What about getting him some company branded knicknacks and something else? Any original ideas would be appreciated!

I enjoy New Holland's High Gravity series a lot, but was wondering if anyone knew of other quality high alcohol brews? I could pretend it was for an educational purpose (I'm in the beer industry), but my real motivations are what you would expect

I work in a business casual workplace, and I have a position usually held by people a few years older than me (I'm 23, my coworkers at my level are 26-30). I LOOK very young- I was recently carded for a lotto ticket, but was also told that I dress too young. I usually wear career separates (silk blouses, blazers, sweaters, slacks and skirts) from BCBG, Tahari, Benneton, Banana and H&M. I never show clevage, tummy or too much leg, and none of my clothes are too tight.

So, I'm at a loss- I've blown a ton of money on fashionable, conservative and generally well-made officewear, and I still dress too young?!

What are some options that will make me look more mature, but won't make me look dowdy?
