  • Puppy poops/pees right at the bottom of our stairs outside?

I am VERY thankful that at 4 months my lab puppy is COMPLETELY potty trained...but he will only go to the bathroom right at the bottom of our stairs. There's a few problems with this...1) We walk there obviously, and 2) My daughter's outdoor toys are right there as well. He refuses to go potty anywhere else. Even when I use a leash or just try and take him somewhere else in the yard. Is there something I can put on the yard to keep him from going there? Any other suggestions?

  • How much to feed lab puppy and how often?

I know the bag has directions...but he is CONSTANTLY acting hungry. He walks around the floor eating every little crumb of anything he can find, food or not. I feed him a little over a cup in the morning and at night around 5 or 6 pm. Sometimes ill give him a half cup around noon because he seems to be starving. I know labs are prone to being overweight, so I dont want to overfeed him. He is eating wellness puppy food. He is 14 weeks old, and purebred. He has been to the vet, up to date on worming and vaccinations. Please no rude suggestions, just helpful answers. =)

  • Daughter takes poopy diaper off-17 months?

My daughter takes her diaper off right after she poops and throws it on the floor. She doesn't do it after she pees, just poop. When I see her going to hide to poop, I ask her if she needs to go on the potty but she gets embarrassed and yells. I don't know what to do? Should I take her and sit her on it anyways, even though shes emembarrassed? Also, does putting poop from her diaper in her potty really help? I feel like she will just take off her poopy diaper and put it in the potty. She likes her potty and will sit on it but never goes. Any suggestions will help.

  • Too late to start a routine....9 months?

My daughter is 9 months and still doesn't sleep through the night. Still getting up every 2 hours...and I have figured out that it is because the dr told me to wake her up every 2 hours to fed her when she was little. Now its a habbit of hers (I know this because ive tried EVERYTHING to get her to sleep better and she doesn't). I want to get her on a better routine to see if that will help her sleep better. So my question is, is 9 months too late to start a routine? When I say routine I mean like, bath, massage, story, bottle, then bed. Do you think its too late to start? And do you think a routine would help her sleep better? no rude comments, I just want to help her sleep better. thanks =)

  • 9 month old not sleeping.....HELP!!!?

She is still waking every 1-2 hours during the night. Ive tried EBERYTHING, including: hot room, cold room, no clothes, some clothes, lots of clothes, ceiling fan, air purifier, bed on the floor, pack and play, music, changing her diaper, feeding her A LOT before bed, etc, etc. Ive come to the conclusion that she is just still in the habit from when she was little. The dr's and nurses told me to wake her every 2 hrs to feed her, and I now know thats not the best idea. Anyways, she will fall asleep on her own in her crib around 7:30pm or 8pm and wake every 2 hours until about 7:30am. The only thing I havent tried is letting her cry it out. When she wakes up she mostly wants her paci put back in, but sometimes will only take a bottle and drinks inly about an ounce. How do I get her to break the habbit? I'm so tired. Any suggestions will help, im up for trying anything. Please no rude comments...I just want some ideas of what might help me and my daughter sleep better =)

  • Should I go back to work or not....need your opinion...?

OK, sooo...I went to college and became a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. I was recently offered a job as a case manager at a drug and alcohol halfway house. The job is Monday thru Friday, $11 and hour, benefits, 401k, pd vacation/holidays, etc. My problem is that I have a 7 month old, and I have been home with her since she was born. Im not sure I am ready to go back to work yet, and my fiance and I can afford for me to stay home. I am also not sure if I really want to do that job, even though I went to school for it. I feel like I am obligated to take it bc its a good opportunity, but friends are saying, you being happy is more important. I also feel obligated bc I went to college for it, but I am really not interested in it anymore. Sooo, do I take it bc its a good opportunity and not be very happy, or try it for a while and see if I like it, or just say no? My fiance just says whatever you decide is fine. UGH!!!! Any opinions would be appreciated, but please be nice in your response.

  • How much will I get back in taxes?

I worked from Jan-May 2009. I made about $6,000 gross. My daughter was born May 28th, 2009 and has lived with me since. She just turned 7 months old. I am unmarried, live with my fiance, who works under the table and will not claim/file any taxes. Approximately $300 was taken out for federal taxes. I had a 401k which I withdrew the money from that was somewhere around $500. I am eligible for the child tax credit and can claim my student loan payments which equal out to $10,000 and ive paid about $460 in payments so far this year. I also don't know whether to file as HoH or single since my fiance doesn't claim/file taxes.

  • Puppy whines in her crate at night....?

I got a boxer puppy about a month ago (shes 4 months now) and. She was fine in the kennel at first, but now she whines and howls a lot. She doesnt go potty in there. I feed/water her at about 6pm, and take her out at 8:30-9pm every night. I have to pick up her food/water right after shes done because she will keep going back periodically to drink water if I dont. I have a 5 month old who she wakes up every time she whines and howls. I know that she just wants to be out because my fiance took her out to pee a few times but she just ran to the couch and tried to stay there to sleep. If I leave her out of the kennel, she poops and pees all over (even if she goes a few times right before bed). She will also chew everything even though she has about 25 toys. I just want her to be crate trained, but im sick of the whining. Ive tried putting a kong in the crate with peanut butter, stuffed animals, and bones. She still whines. She is also obsessed with my 4 year old boxer mix, and I think thats why shes whining because she wants to sleep by him but I cant let her until shes trained better. Ive heard about the clock and putting my shirt in there. Any other suggestions?

  • Dying blonde hair bleach blonde?

I currently have blonde hair (naturally brown but dyed blonde). I want bleach blonde with black underneath. Its going to be pretty expensive and time consuming to get it done at a salon. I was wondering if I could get supplies from Sally's and do it myself. I am really good at doing hair...and have a lot of knowledge about it. I just want to know if the bleaching will turn out good, as well as the black color. Thanks.

  • 5 month old still not sleeping through the night....help!!?

My little girl just turned 5 months old today. She is still getting up every 1-2 hours at night. Our bedtime routine includes lavender lotion massage, diaper change, getting into pajamas, and a warm bottle until she falls asleep in my arms. When she falls asleep in my arms, I then take her to her crib and lay her down. She sleeps about 12 hours at a time, but like I said, up every 1-2 hours in that period. I have tried feeding her cereal off a spoon at night, and even a bottle to follow that, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. She sleeps through the night whenever she is babysat by either of her grandmothers, which I cant understand b/c they don't do anything different than me. When she wakes at night, ive tried to let her cry for a few minutes and it doesn't help, she just keeps crying so I go in and feed her a few ounces and she goes back to sleep. What am I doing wrong, or what do I need to do? Feed her more? (she eats about 5 ounces in a bottle before bed, that's when she doesn't eat cereal). Change her during the night? (she wakes up when I do and stays awake). Or is this just her? Any suggestions will help. I appreciate it.

  • Whats my horse worth (pictures)?

I am thinking about selling my gelding because I just had a baby and don't have time to ride him. Hes all alone and its just not fair for him...hes so bored. Hes 5 years old, black (not true black), percheron/arabian, 14.3 hands, I ride him western, but he also does bareback with a halter just fine. He trail rides alone or with another horse, he leads or will follow, doesn't spook, lunges, ties, loads, clips, stands for farrier, has great feet, and is just like a big dog. Hes such a good boy, very smart. He has a thick mane and loooong tail, and they're wavy. I would say he would be good for an experienced rider. My little cousins have been lead around on him and he was fine although i wouldn't let them go alone because he is young and gets spunky sometimes. If i left anything out, lemme know and I will edit it. I live in NY...just lemme know what you think hes worth.

Heres some pics, hes the black one.

  • How can I keep my horse from rubbing off his mane?

He is a 5 year old percheron/arabian and he always reaches through the fence to try and eat grass. His mane is long in the front and back but the middle is very short. He always has hay and is fed grain 2x daily. I take him out once a day for grass but he persists. Is there something I can put over his mane so it wont rub off? Any suggestions?

I noticed my dog has a lump on his right side. Its about the same size around as a baseball and sticks out maybe an inch. It feels liquid filled..and he doesnt mind when i touch it. He is a 4 year old boxer/shepherd/lab mix who has always been in perfect health. It seems the lump developed overnight. Any ideas as to what it may be?

  • DESPERATE...help with min pin (pics)?

I have a 2 year old, 5 lb min pin who ive had since he was 12 weeks old. He goes potty outside when were home (well, he wont poop outside, just pees, he waits until we leave to poop, no matter how long hes out there for, and hes does have a coat). When we leave, he will go potty (pee and poop) in his crate and lay in it (no matter how small the crate). He will also eat wee wee pads or just poop next to them. He wont use the doggy door because its cold out and he would rather poop inside where its warm. He wont use a litter box he just goes next to it.

He used to be fine until he ran away a year ago during winter for 3 days. When he came home, he was extremely skinny. I took him to the vet and he tested negative for heartworms but does have a heart murmur. He also had to have the ball (head) of his femur removed because somehow when he ran away he twisted his leg which cut off blood flow and the bone died. The only medical problem we know of is the slight heart murmur. He also has no hair on his belly or knees on his back legs. He also has minimal hair in front of his ears.

Right now he is home with his brother (mo other dog) and they are baby gated in a room with tile floor, dog beds, and toys. there is wee wee pads on the floor although he still pees/poops on the floor. We have a baby coming and are at our wits end about what to do with potty training...as he was trained before he ran away. He is still pretty skinny no matter what I feed him (ive tried everything, but now they eat Nutro food), but otherwise acts normal and happy. Any suggestions and do you think he has an underlying medical issue? NO RUDE COMMENTS PLEASE! THIS IS SERIOUS!

  • How can I get my gelding to...?

I want my 5 year old gelding to collect...I think thats what I mean. What I really want is for him to "set his head." I am just getting back into riding. I rode for 10 years, stopped for 7, and have been riding for about 2 now. The horses I used to ride all already knew this command...but I am training my own gelding this time.

This is what I want him to look like (head wise):

    http://www.alqha.com/images/charmer1a.jpg

    http://www.dominionequine.com.au/images/horses/nov...

He knows how to bend and give his head to pressure, but not when im on his back. Ive tried to bump (squeeze) his reins and "see saw" them (although people think its mean), and he doesnt respond AT ALL, even when im persistent. His head is low at a walk, but as soon as he trots or canters he raises it. Do you think side reins and a surcingle would work? Hes VERY EXTREMELY laid back and very smart...I think its more me then him. I just need some tips. I am looking for a more western pleasure prospect out of him.

  • What kind of horse is she (PICS)?

This is my aunts mare she adopted about a year ago. Shes 7 years old and is mainly used for trail riding, although she still needs some training (people before my aunt hardly ever rode her). She stands about 14.2hh and has had 1 foal. Shes extremely stubborn if that helps, lol (that might be from the lack of training). We cant figure out what breed she is. Any suggestions would help...

  • Intercourse During Pregnancy...Fiance...?

This might be a little forward sooo dont get offended....My fiance and I are expeting our first baby in June (im 22 weeks). We used to have sex about 4 times a week, and have been up until about 2 weeks ago. Were both 21 and have been together for 7 years. Weve always had a great sex life. Well, I noticed he wasnt into it like normal. I asked him about it, and he said it feels like it's "hollow" inside, like nothings there. He said it dont feel loose (I cant only get 1 finger in there), but it just feels different. He said before if he put it in all the way, he could "hit something" and it felt good, but that "thing" is no longer there. Any suggestions? Please dont be rude, this is really stressing me out...
