I just started pointe this year and I know having some pain comes with the territory. My ankles are fine, the occasional blister or two, but Im having real problems with my big toe. Every time I go en pointe my big toe burns and it's preventing me from remaining up on my toes. I cut my toenails every week to prevent ingrown toenails. Is there anything that can give my big toe extra cushion or any ideas as to why this is happening after 2 months of being en pointe? Thanks for your help!

I went to apple today and there sold out and only get 15 a day and they go fast. Best Buy said that apple won't let anyone sell them until sept 21. As you've probably guessed Im really impatient and have been saving up forever. Ordering online is an option but It will take up to 3 weeks. Any ideas as to what stores might have them? Or the best way to get one at Apple? Thanks for your help!

I've been taking ballet for about 3 years and am considering taking pointe this year. I've recently dislocated my knee in early June and have been recovering all summer so I can dance again in September. The doctor says I can dance with my patella brace for support.

My questions:

-I heard Pointe is tough on ankles and feet? Is this true? What about knees?

- Will wearing my small knee brace affect how I dance?

I'm going into my sophomore year and want to get some new makeup products before the school year starts. I'm currently using 'great lash' maybelline mascara and a brown maybelline eyeliner pencil. Any suggestions as to new products that have worked for you? And any new makeup techniques?

I dislocated my knee 2 months ago(no surgery) and am currently in PT once a week. My school soccer starts in 2 weeks and I really want to play, but my dr says give it at least 3 months for healing. I'm kinda interested in hearing anyone's stories of recovery from this injury. I'm an active athlete and dancer and very anxious to get back to my activities.

I know tanning has its risks and isnt really good for you no matter how you do it, but how can you get a good tan without using tanning oil or getting spray tans? Im Italian/Irish and have a medium skin color/complexion. Can you get a tan using sunscreen and how long should you lay out in the sun at a time? Thanks for your help!

The doctors said I dislocated my knee cap and have torn cartilage surrounding it. How long is the recovery and when's the soonest I can get back to my normal activities? We've been icing and elevating it. I have a brace but Ive been staying off of it. Any ideas to a quicker recovery?
