I went to court with my step-mother over guardianship for my little brother (14 yrs). I now have guardianship for him, he lives with me and she doesn't help me with him at all. Well she bought him a pair of shoes and he has stayed the night with her maybe 3 weekends or so to visit for a couple days at a time. But nothing else. When I was granted guardianship, the judge told the both of us to go file for child support...I am wondering if this is something I am actually required to do as a court order or something. The judge didn't give me any paperwork on it or anything, and I have never dealt with child support before. It seems like all it will do is complicate things for me, having to go to court and prove my expenses for him with reciepts and whatnot. And I know 100% my step-mom won't file..and we are never on good terms so filing against her will also cause her to go after me in whatever way possible. Do I have to file against her or can I just leave things the way they are (her out of my hair)

I have custody of my little brother and I plan to claim him next year on my taxes. When I went to court over this with his mother, the judge told me I need to file for child support from both his mother and father. If I receive child support from his mother, will she have the right to claim him? How will this affect my tax return?

I am recently married as of November 2012. My wife has custody of her little brother so she will claim him on her 2013 taxes. She makes about $14,400/yr and I make around $16,800/yr. How many allowances should I put on line 5 of my w-4 in order to not owe at the end of the year. And do I need to file jointly or separately since she plans to claim her little brother who lives with us?

Lets start off by clarifying the extent of his mental capacity- He has been diagnosed with ADHD and ADD, but nothing further as he has not visited a doctor for several years (no health insurance). He has been on medication before to help calm him down and focus. Physically, he looks like any other normal 21 yr old, but he is very developementally delayed. He acts and thinks similar to an 11 or 12 yr old. Due to this lag in maturity and inablity to focus he has never had a job and it does not seem likely that he would be able to hold down a job that would be sufficient enough to provide a living for himself. Our parents don't provide anything for him, so he is pretty much on his own with the exception of him living with our cousin. My question is if he is able to qualify for any type of benefits to help out with his living situation and mental disablity. And what would I need to help him get these benefits (steps to take as well as infomation needed). Any infomation would be very much appreciated.

I recently got granted guardianship of my (14-yr-old) little brother in November 2012, however he has been living with me and I have been fully supporting him since late June/early July 2012. Before he lived with me that year, he was living with and being supported by our dad, who is now in prison starting in June 2012. When our dad went to jail, my brother came to live with me (because his mother refused to take him). For the year of 2012 his mother claimed him. She did not support or take care of him at all in 2012, with the exception of bringing groceries a few times while he lived with my dad. Being that my dad is not claiming him because he is in prison, I felt that I had all the right to claim him for the months that he lived with me. I know that I will now have to file my taxes on paper and mail them, then expect an audit since his mother also claimed him. My question is what type of documentation/information is acceptable proof that he lived with me? I did have a DHS welfare agent inspect my house after I made a full report that his mother was not allowing him to live with her and my dad was no longer able to provide for him. Is the DHS report and/or speaking with the DHS agent going to be enough? Also will they autit any of my previous tax returns since they are already going to be auditing 2012?

What would be the expected effects if someone took an adderall at 7:30 am and then drank a 34 oz beer at 7:00 pm?

Ok...I have extremely fine and thin hair. I recently cut it short (just below my ears) in order to not let the thin-ness be so noticeable. I am soooooooo very tired of having such limited style options for my hair and not being able to curl it...Are there ANY options out there for me?? I dont want volumizing shampoos and conditioners or root lifters, they dont do enough for my hair.. I need options that will actually thicken my hair rather than just styling it to make it look thicker. Any suggestions?

I have trouble with UTI's because I drink way too little water...I don't have a UTI as of now (that I am aware of) but every now and then my lower back will hurt as if my kidney is throbbing. Its not like a muscle pain, it feels deeper than that. But its also not excruciating either. Its just a dull throbbing pain on one side of my lower back and sometimes it will last all day. I don't have nausea, vomitting, chills, or any other side effect except that my urine is very dark yellow/orangie colored and has a strong acidic smell. I know I should see a doctor, but I have no cash and no health insurance....So, other than drinking lots of water, should I be worried about this or take any further steps?

*Also, I sometimes find that drinking water all day on a day that my back is sore, can help reduce the pain..Is it possible for my kidneys to just be "thirsty" rather than have an infection?

Please dont be offended, this is a serious question... I was just wondering- if a person was to starve to death, would a larger person (with more body fat) last longer than a skinnier person? Please elaborate in terms of nutrients, body fat, and overall health

I dont want to go into all the details of how I got them, but I had an aweful day today and, as a result, I have about 4 large blisters on the bottoms of both of my feet and 3-4 smaller ones on the heels of both of them. They made it impossible to walk or stand on, so I inserted a sterilized needle and drained to fluid from all of them. My problem now is that they hurt soooooo bad I still cant walk and there is absolutely NO way out of work tommorrow, where I will hafta walk...So you see my dilemma? Is there anything I can do overnight to relieve the pain or magically heal them?

About 2 or 3 days ago, my armpits started to itch really bad, which I believed to be the cause of wearing excess deoderant (which has happened before). Then later in the day I noticed they were red and had a slight rash. I also noticed this same exact rash on the joints of both of my forearms as well as right below my beltline, where my jeans rub my waist. The rash is red and very itchy. It is very slightly raised with tiny bumps on it, but not blistery like you would see in poison ivy, and there is no discharge. It just sprang up out of no where and i dont know how to properly treat it, because I cant tell what it is. I have never had an allergic reaction to anything...but I will give all the relevant info about myself this past week: I started taking prenatal pills for hair and nail growth (im not pregnant), I used banana boat tanning oil for the first time swimming the other day, my dad has eczema but I have never experienced symptoms. I dont know if its heat rash because the weather here in OK has been extremely hot or if ots eczema or a reaction...Any educated guesses out there? This rash sucks...

OK, so this is probably the stupidest thing I have ever done...I started to take prenatal vitamins to make my hair and nails grow. I missed taking them yesterday, so I thought I would double up on the dosage today, and having even a brighter idea, I figured I would go ahead and take one extra for maximum results..I reasoned that they are just vitamins, no harm or anything, so I took 3 pills BEFORE I decided to read the bottle and discovered that these pills have a high amount of iron in them...Now Im nervous because I researched a little on iron overdose and I feel a little nauseous. The brand is Spring Valley Prenatal multivitamin/multimineral. Please dont judge for my lack of common sense...I just need to know if I need to worry. I would rather not call a doctor for some irrelevant reasons... The iron amount is 28mg per pill as ferrous fumarate and I am not pregnant, age is 20 yrs, weight is 118 lbs

I am making a pasta dish with italian-seasoned chicken, penne rigate pasta, and either lemon pepper sauce or garlic and herb sauce ( the kind thats made from olive oil). Does anyone have a suggestion of a good combination of steamed vegetables that would blend well with my Italian-y inspired dish? I have an assignment in business class to make up a business and create a business plan to get it started.. I decided to make up a candy store that sells gourmet candy and cookies as well as a few gift ideas like cards and teddy bears and balloons. Part of the assignment asks us about the raw materials and supplies we will need...In my vision, the shop would be responisble for making most of the cookies and maybe a few of the different candies, while the rest of the supplies would be ordered. How would I say this with the correct terminology and business language? Heres the exact question: Explain what raw materials and supplies you will need to run your business. How will you produce your good? What equipment do you need? What hours will you operate?

I co-signed a bond to get my dad out of jail a couple months ago, and my dad has making late payments and the bondsman is getting upset and wants the rest of his money. The bondsman claims that my dad has only made one payment and he wants to revoke his bond to have him put back in jail. The bondsmen also called me last night after he has been calling and harrassing my job, and he cussed me out, called my dad a whole bunch of derogatory names, and has made racist comments about putting my dad in jail with all the "N-words" (Im white, but that is still very inappropriate and offensive to me). He also said he will garnish my wages from my payroll checks and sue me after he revokes my dads bond. Heres my question: Is he able to sue me for the money even after he has revoked my dads bond and my dad is back to jail? Also, is he able to talk to me that way and harrass me at home and work? And is there anything I can do about him doing this to me?
