Christians, Why is it that your bible shares so many similarities with the much older Ancient Egyptian culture?
The Egyptian stories date long before the bible yet they both share so many similarities. For instance;
Egypt has Auset/Isis - The Virgin Mother.
Christianity has The Virgin Mary.
Here is a link that shows many more comparisons.

Is your Holy Bible really just a compiled book of copied stories?

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf human parents can still love their disobedient children then why can't God?
There are some parents who still love their kids even though they may, lie, cheat, steal, or even kill. Some parents will go to great lengths to protect their disobedient children. So why can't the Christian God?
If he is this good and totally perfect being, shouldn't he be above that? Why would he punish them for all eternity?
Also, why is it that there are humans who would NEVER torture another human being, even if they are their WORST enemy? But yet an all perfect and just God would torture his enemies for all eternity?
If you don't believe your God is all good and perfect, why do you worship him? Simply out of fear? Do you consider giving in to someone you fear, to be the same as giving in to a terrorist?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, do you believe in Bigfoot?
If you Do/Don't can you tell me why?
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWas Jesus's sacrifice really a selfless act?
Christian's say that we need to accept that God is our Lord and Savior because Jesus died on a cross to atone for our sins.
But yet he allegedy went to heaven after he died?
So he died, and then went to a place you believe to be MUCH better than Earth. What's so bad with that?
Also, many Christians say that despite the fact that God is responsible for the deaths of many men, women, children, and babies, he is still an amazing and GOOD God. They say that it wasn't a bad thing that so MANY people died, because they went to heaven. Well, if the fact that MANY people died is no big deal, why is it so important that ONE person died? One person who also went to heaven.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoPROOF that God exists!!!?
This is a link for a youtube video. (It's only 2 minutes and 13 seconds long)
In the video a christian calls in to an atheist talk show and tells them about his Godly experience.
His mother was on her death bed. Doctors told him and his family that she was going to die, but then she miraculously turned around. The atheist respond with a GOOD freakin' answer. Even the christian caller admits they made a good point.
The caller then asks how can atheist go around telling kids God doesn't exist. The atheist respond with another GOOD freakin' answer.
If you don't want to click the link, then don't, I could really care less if you do or don't. I just wanted to share it because it made me LMFAO!!!
Also, I kind of want to know what Christians think of the video, and if they have a response for the atheist's answers?
Here's the youtube link
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago"Good Christians", could you answer this ?
I asked this question a couple hours ago, but I've made additional points since then, and no one else has commented since then, so I feel it should be asked again. I honestly believe this is a question where all those who concider themselves "Good Christians" should have a VALID answer. Especially since many Christians believe we should accept their Lord as our Savior.
No this is not a question where I try to make you see God doesn't exist. It's actually the opposite. I"m assuming he does exist for a second.
Also, before you post your reply, I ask that you read it ALL the way through, as I have made some valid points(IMO) in the additional detail box.
Here is the question.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, how can you be 100% sure that God is good?
All you have to go on is one book, that you believe was written in his words. How can you honestly sit there and believe that he is absolutely, without a doubt, a good entity. What if he is the real devil in disguise? Where is your proof that he is good? Wouldn't you want to have solidified proof that the person you worship is not fooling you all into thinking he is good. What if you are the real Satanics and you don't even know it? I repeat, where is your proof your God is a good entity, and is worthy of worship? (This is, of course, assuming there is such a thing as God/s)
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can Christians claim God doesn't lie?
When you question anything in the bible, Christians reply with, It's Gods words, God doesn't lie... Well if you believe God wrote the bible, what proof is there that he doesn't lie? You can't even use the bible as a reference because he could have lied when he wrote it.. It makes no sense.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy did God give us an appendix?
If he is supposedly all knowing and perfect, and you believe humans are incapable of evolving, why would he give humans an organ that serves no function?
I'm actually very curious to hear your views.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, where did your "God" come from?
You believe nothing happens; that everything is created. Who or what created your "God"? He didn't just appear out of thin air did he?
