My bestfriend and I are planning on joining the army together as 11x option 40. Is there still a buddy system? How far along will we most likely be able to stay together? Is there a possibility we could end up on the same squad and spend out career together?

Ill be 19 I've been with this girl for a while now she doesn't want me to leave and is really scared because her uncle was in the 82nd airborne and he died and she knows that I want to be airborne and she doesn't want to be away from me for all them years of my first enlistment and I really don't want to be away from her. It makes me not want to join but joining is what I really want. Say we get married is it looked down upon joining at 19 married? Does being married make it possible for us to be together during my enlistment? If it does allow it I'd imagine money would be really tight and it would be a bad experience? Just need some advice

Joining the army is something I want to do really bad but is it worth giving up a boiler apprenticeship? Being away from my girlfriend? She's really what's holding me back it's so hard to go is this worth it? What mos makes most money in civilian world? Is it possible to go 19D or 11x for my first enlistment then switch to 35F or something else for the rest of my career ?

Is it worth being away from my girlfriend all that time and possibly losing her?

Is it worth giving up my boiler apprenticeship?

Are there still private military buissnesses to go into after the army and how do I get into one?

Is the army really worth joining? What about the marines I'm stuck on the two? I want a combat job or something that makes a Ton of money in the civilian world?

I'm 18 graduated last year.

Currently I have a boiler mechanic apprenticeship I make more then a private would it be worth it to sacrifice this apprenticeship for the marines or army? Which branch would be better? I want a job in the military that isn't behind a desk. I know this sounds horrible but I have a girlfriend and idk if I want to leave her is the military honestly worth leaving behind my apprenticeship and everything else?

So I was really thinkin about the infantry but my recruiter and everybody else talked me out of it saying I was to smart me n my recruiter were messing around the other day and he pulled up what mos was available for me to take and it was 35f intelligence analyst nothing else. Everyone told me I'd be stupid not to take an intelligence mos but some seem boring and Idk I don't want to be behind a desk all day what's the best military intelligence mos?

My scores are good enough to get them I was offered 35f but wasn't ready to join due to medical reasons.

Now I want an intelligence mos and I don't want to be stuck behind a desk all day which one is best?

What army Mos gets this?

What do I need to do to pass it?

What could disqualify me?

So I was offered 35f in the army military intelligence now someone told me that when I get out there's other intelligence company's I could work for they said my top secret clearance is going to be worth 20,000 plus my salary so I could make around 200,000 a year is this true?

So I scored a 71 on the asvab and all my line scores were high I told my recruiter I was thinking about the infantry and he said no don't join the infantry. I told him I don't want a mos where I'm stuck inside though so what's a good mos that has fun but is still like Idk lol what's a good mos that is out doing stuff having fun but still a good mos with my scores

How can I get the most from joining? I'm 18 btw

What's the best mos?

How do I take advantage of what they offer?

Can I bring girls onto base?

Will I get served beer? Or can I even drink? I drink now and party a lot will that have to stop 100%?

I might as well just break up wit my girlfriend now right?

I scored a 71 on my asvab with high line scores is infantry not a smart route?

Whats my chances of getting a good job when I'm out?

Any other tips or stories anyone have?

And I don't wanna hear anything about underage drinkin we all do it shut up

So whereever I get stationed hows it work with bringing girls onto the base or my room. Can you bring girls back to your room?

This is really what I want to do. I want to be airborne infantry. I'm doing it no matter what but I just want to know a few things. How dangerous is it? What am I doing while not deployed? Deployments are a year long so what's my chances of making it home? My girlfriend how will that work? And what's some other info on infantry

So say I'm off base on my weekend off or whatever and I get into a fight what happens? Am I allowed to defend myself? Can I fight? Like what's the rules? Like there's bar fights, fights cause some dude thinks he's tough and has to prove he can beat a soldier and so what happens if we fight? And what if there's a brawl like can we ride out for other soldiers or what

Is it smart for me to join the army infantry and get an airborne contract? When I get out my goal is to hopefully become a firefighter in Philadelphia is the infantry good?

What's the pros and cons of being in the army and the pros and cons of the marines which is better for what

What's it like being in the army as infantry honestly no bs like I want the truth if it completely sucked or was fun idk I'm excited to join I wanna know what it's like how about as airborne when I'm airborne and deployed I'm doing the same thing as the rest of the infantry right?

I turn 18 in 3 days I already took my asvab I scored a 71 as the AFQP or whatever it is.

I really like the army and that is what I'm leaning towards because I want to be airborne infantry. But they say marines are trained better but army has better equipment. Which one is honestly better I don't want to hear little Marine fanboys who never served

Is it training everyday? Are weekends off of no? And say I go to a one station thing for basic and ait is there a break in between?

So my vision isn't the best like I have glasses but I don't ever wear them and I can still see just not far I want to get the laser eye surgery does the army allow it and do they pay for it or is it not allowed at all
