HELP WITH PHYSICS ISA FOR TOMMOROW!?
So tomorrow I have a p2 ISA about resistance through a filament bulb. I missed our revision/research lesson yesterday because I was very ill so I'm a little confused.
So far I've been revising Ohms Law and R=V/I plus key words like precision and zero error etc.
I have a few questions, does anyone know the correct method for the hypothesis 'increasing the current will decrease the resistance across a filament bulb'?
Also why do we need to control some variables? Is it to make the experiment a fair test or more accurate etc.
If anyone has done this ISA or has some tips on what to revise any help is urgent and gratefully received.
Thanks
1 AnswerHomework Help7 years agoI need a new email account?
So there was all this stuff in the news a while ago about Yahoo! dobbing in a journalist to the Chinese government so I was thinking I would get a different mail account because I was quite appalled by this. I was thinking Gmail but then I read that Google avoids paying taxes.
I want a more ethical email account but I can't afford to pay, does anyone know of any less corrupt/dodgy companies?
Thanks x
1 AnswerPassword and Sign In8 years agoHow to avoid the awkwardness?
Basically, I fancied this boy for a long time then my friend told me that she had a little crush on him (she had/ still has a boyfriend) and she felt bad because she knew I liked him. I didn't mind at all because you can't just claim someone but then he asked me out. So he's now my boyfriend but she still has feelings for him, I'm not bothered about that because she's really nice and not the slightest bit bitchy and I haven't fallen out with her because friends come first. But our whole group of friends is going to the cinema and I've just realized this will be the first time she's seen me (in person, we've talked via social media) since I've been with him and he's going to be here today as well. It's meant to be our first date but I don't know how to act? Is it okay to hug and kiss him if she's there? How can I avoid any awkwardness between us?
Thanks x
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoShould I shave my head (female) For Charity?
My friends and I have been thinking a lot about shaving our hair off for charity. There are five of us (4 girls, 1 boy) and we want to be shave our hair off in front of the school, the money we raise (from sponsors and people paying to watch) will go to a cancer charity of our choice.
We are all 14 and we understand the consequences but we are strong enough to stand up to bullies and we know that the money we raise could honestly change people's lives.
We are going to do it for the spring/summer so that we are not cold and we will share head scarves/hats for bad weather days. I truly want to do this but there are a few concerns.
1. I don't think my parents will agree
2. I have a Saturday job at a Café - will they sack me?
3. I have talked to some adults at the school and it is going through a decision making process as to whether we will be allowed to do it
I am interested in your comments. Do you think this is a good idea? Should I listen to my parents?
Oh, and P.S. I honestly could not care less about what people think. If people judge me because I have no hair then I don't want to know them.
6 AnswersEtiquette8 years agoAre there any good auditions for a child actress (13) at the moment?
Hi, I'm from the UK and I am trying to get more involved in acting, either for feature films, documentaries or TV series (even adverts). I just want some experience and I don't really care about pay as long as expenses cover me getting to the shooting location.
I think my skills as an actor are improvisation, memorization, team work and determination although I am relatively new to the profession.
I was just wondering if you knew of any recent auditions for TV shows/films/documentaries etc in the UK that I could apply for.
I have tried using some websites such as Star Now but when I try to apply that ask me to pay.
Thanks
2 AnswersTheatre & Acting8 years agoCan you find this audition anywhere other than Star Now?
http://www.starnow.co.uk/Casting-Calls/Actors-want...
This is the audition and one of the characters sounds perfect for me but Star Now charges over £5 to apply and I can't find this casting call else where on the web!
Do you now if I can enter this audition a different way because the company hasn't left contact details!
Thanks

Bullfighting is a cruel spectacle that has no place in a civilized world. Animals should not be mistreated and killed for entertainment. By re-introducing bullfighting to Spanish television, the government of Mariano Rajoy's People's Party is reversing decades of progress that have given animals like bulls the protection they deserve. This petition calls on the government of Spain to prevent bullfighting being broadcast on television, thereby demonstrating their commitment to preventing unnecessary animal cruelty.

One argument for bullfighting is "it is part of our culture". The same could be said of witch burning or freak shows. Bullfighting is an horrendous sport, targeting a defenseless, drugged animal for 'entertainment'. If we don't do something now the cruel deaths of hundreds of bulls will be broadcast to an entire nation, during children's viewing hours!
On 5 September families across Spain will be able to watch bulls killed... on live television!
The People's Party (PP) of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy took control this year of the broadcaster's board and now, Televisión Española (TVE) will pay the cost of setting up the multi-camera broadcast, funded by Government subsidies.
The bull is not a naturally aggressive animal, but is turned into a mentally destroyed creature by cruel techniques that include:
1. Wet newspapers stuffed in its ears
2. Vaseline rubbed into eyes
3. A strong caustic (acidic/ burning) solution rubbed onto legs to throw it off balance and keep it from lying down on the ground
4. Drugs administered to pep it up or slow it down
5. Kept in a dark box for a couple of days before facing the ring
In the ring, Picadors cut into the bull's neck muscles with a long spike, thrust into the bull and twisted round to make a large, gaping wound.
Then Matadors plunge harpoon-like barbed instruments into the bull’s body.
A trumpet signals the final “act” - the kill. A single sword thrust is supposed to sever the artery near the heart — in fact, this rarely happens, often taking 2-3 attempts.

So basically I need your opinions of it and how good you think it is. I especially want to know if you were scared before hand and how you felt.
Or maybe you decided not to go on it....
anyway just tell me your experience of it please. Thanks
