Crooks Gap

I live in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming, surrounded by cattle ranches, antelope, wild horses, deer, moose, elk, coyotes, foxes, prairie dogs and bunny rabbits. There are mountain lions, eagles and all manner of other fowl, mosquitoes a few weeks every summer, and who even knows what other wildlife is out there. But no fleas! I have six very large dogs, several cats, and a wonderful husband. My kids are all grown. We're currently working on remodeling an old brick building on our property into a home. It used to be the local bar and cafe, but hasn't been used for more than forty years, so this is a big project that we're enjoying very much. The mountains and wildlife around here are fuel for my photography, and living right on the Oregon Trail feeds my interest in and love for American history. People keep asking where I want to go when I retire, but I think I'm already there. I love it here.
