Is it normal to get very angry at your wife?
I am usually pretty happy with her, but she has a few hot button topics that she consistently brings up, but she refuses to make any decisions. Then she will rehash the whole discussion that we have had before, but not be willing to make any decisions. I keep asking her what she wants us to do, and she will not tell me, she just wants to pick at it. This winds up really ticking me off. Is this normal, and how do I approach it with my wife?
3 AnswersMarriage & Divorce8 years agoAre the U.S and the world just returning to long term normal?
My thought is that after WWII the whole industrialized world was trashed, and the U.S. had the only intact industrial base. This meant that the U.S. could build on the industrialization that occurred during the war, while the other countries had to rebuild before they move ahead. Is it possible that the U.S. is just returning to its long run average growth rate while the other nations are catching up?.
1 AnswerEconomics10 years agoHow can I keep cats off the bed?
I moved into my wife's house about 3 years ago, and since then, I have suffered through my wife's two cats sleeping on the bed. Despite my requests, she doesn't see any reason to stop having them sleep with her (and therefore me).
Is there something that I can put on the bed that will keep the cats off it (preferably without having my wife know)? I really need help here, since I am allergic to them.
I am thinking something that we can't smell, but that the cats can, that would repel them. Does anyone know of anything that works?

I know that the internet and other new technologies helped spark the boom of the 1990's. Are technological advances going to pull us out of the current recession, or will all of our labor saving devices cause further unemployment and undermine our economy?

I was listening to the radio tonight, and there was a lecture by the author of "The Oil Game". I was curious whether anyone with a technical background had read the book, and what they thought of the thesis. The speaker's two points were that we could make our infrastructure much more efficient by changing the design of our automobiles (using carbon fibers to make cars instead of steel, etc), and we could switch to bio fuel such as switch grass. The best part of this is that the changes could be accomplished through market based policies.
Is anyone familiar with this book, and what do you think of the policies it proposes?
