Is going short a good idea for me?
I've kinda been thinking about cutting my hair short for the last year. Now that I'm going to college in less than a month, I desperately need a change; it's such a hassle, and I'm so bored with it. Before half of the day is over, it usually ends up in a messy bun anyway. Everyone I know is so fond of my long hair that I can't seem to get an objective opinion about it..so, ideas?
This is how it looks naturally right now as I'm posting this (serious face to show face shape, sorry haha):

And straight:

And other pictures of me:

Could I pull off short hair? And what style? Thanks in advance.

4 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoCan you please take a look at this song?
My friend and I are wanting to duet together and sing the song "The Prayer" (originally by Celine Dion) in Spanish for a festival, but we're having trouble translating in a way that goes well with the music.
Original song:

A Spanish translation that someone else did for an event that sounds great:

I can't make out all of their lyrics though. :/
Can anyone provide any help or insight?
1 AnswerLanguages1 decade agoDecisions, decisions. Bangs? *Pictures included*?
I'm looking for something different to do with my hair.
I've had the same, pretty straight forward hairstyle for...as long as I can remember. I fear change. haha.
Ideas?
Oh and I was thinking about getting bangs. I've never had them before...so I have no idea what to get. What kind would look good with my facial shape? Or should I just avoid them?
Thanks in advance.

5 AnswersHair1 decade agoChristmas DSLR Advice? Which camera?
This is kinda a repost...but I'm trying to get a lot of answers.
I'm shopping for a new camera for Christmas. I've been thinking about taking it a step up and getting a DSLR. Is it really worth it?
I'm a 15 year old girl, and I LOVE photography. I'm looking for something with no shutter lag (I work on Yearbook staff and frequently go to sporting events...and I have a sugar glider that I want to catch gliding, but my current camera reacts way too slow, so all the pics are really blurry), high quality, and something that's not going to be so huge I can't carry it anywhere. I need something that won't be too hard for me when I first start learning, but won't leave me wanting more when I get more advanced. I'm willing to take the time to learn what I need to. I also need something not extremely expensive. 500-ish and below if possible?
I'm considering the Nikon D4 or the Canon Rebel XS. The thing that concerns me with the D40 is the Mps. 6.1? Opinions and reviews on both cameras?
What are some good beginner DSLR camers that will fit into a teenager's lifestyle? And the benefits of a DSLR?
TIA.

4 AnswersCameras1 decade agoTo apply, or not to apply?
For a while now I have been considering applying for a spot at the ASMSA (Arkansas School For Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts).
It's a two year, residential public high school for advanced juniors and seniors interested in fields concerning Mathematics, science, and the like. It's located in Hot Springs Arkansas.
Look around the site for a minute if you like.
Now, I'm the top of my class. Of like 40 people. At a verrrry small school. With like 250 people. Which doesn't make me sound that smart. But I digress.
ASMSA is a REALLY good school with classes that I have never heard of. No, really. People interested in going apply their sophmore year (which I'm in right now). During the early application phase that I plan on taking part in, applicants get to spend the night in the dorms and attend a few of the classes they're interested in, after which they are interviewed.
If I was to apply and actually get accepted (Not everyone does...I know someone that didn't get to go), then I would leave behind friends who I have had as long as I can remember, my spot for val. at my school's graduation, and my chances to be a completer in the few subject areas that we have at our tiny school. However, I will be able to take part in my school's graduation and prom as long as they don't fall on the date of a required ASMSA activity, and I can still be an honor student if ASMSA sends my school a letter. What do you think...Better to be a big person at a small school, or just another person at a big school?
If I go to ASMSA, I'll have better classes. And become more social. But I'll leave behind my family, who I'll see just on the weekends. I'll be 2 hours away from everyone I know. :[
I don't know if I'm smart enough. I have a 4.0 and a 27 on my ACT, which is information that has to be turned in the application.
What do you all think I should do?
1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoOh yes, another one of these questions... help please?
Hey I'm 15...
I have belly fat that I would really like to get rid of. School starts soon, and I don't expect to lose it all before then, but I'd like to start now.
My stomach makes me feel bad about my self, so I don't dare wear fitted shirts or other cute clothes...
What can I do? And what can I avoid? :]
TIA

I'm getting my male sugar glider tomorrow, and I was wondering about food portions...
I know the diet is 75% fruit and 25% protein, but how much am I supposed to feed? I have meal worms right now for protein...how many should be given? And how much fruit?
What are they're favorite kinds of fruit to eat?
Thanks in advance :]

1 AnswerGoogle1 decade agoHelp with an essay I have to write for English? "The Oddyssey"?
Here is my topic :
"The Odyssey" contains example of the gods' cruelty to mankind. Locate at least two instances of the cruelty of the gods and explain the reason for the cruelty. Determine if the cruelty was justified or not. What do you think this cruelty says about the Greeks view of the universe? Remember that whatever you assert must be supported with details from the epic. Quotations, with overdoing it, are highly effective in proving a point.
Any ideas????
