I've grown 2 inches over the last 2-3 years. My doctors surgery measures me every now and again. I should have been 5' 3" when I first registered 2 years ago but was 5' 4" but put that down to a new doctors and just a slight variation in the position of the ruler on the wall. Last week though I was 5' 5" and thought it was a mistake but just checked it at home and it's correct.

At my age surely I should be losing height.

I have a '99 Chevy Blazer and according to two mechanics, one a transmission specialist there is nothing wrong with my transmission. The service 4 wheel drive light comes on in dry weather and I can't then select anything other than 2 wheel drive. In damp weather the light goes out and I have my choice of 2 or 4 wheel drive.

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong and what I can do?

I can define this myself but would be interested to read how others might define this.

I don't want rants from people telling me how wrong I am, but would welcome definitions from people of any or no faith.

My friend has type two diabetes and is in end stage renal failure as well as having had a CVA about 2 years ago leaving him hemiplegic.

He wants to give up dialysis as he feels it's not worth the discomfort.

How long is he likely to last without his 3 times weekly haemodialysis.

I don't need the gory details of what will happen to him without it, I know that too well, I just want to know how long we are likely to have with him.
