  • BUilding an AR-15 type rifle?

I'm looking into purchasing some sort of Semi auto rifle. I've found some pretty inexpensive AK style rifles all with mixed reviews, like the WASR-10 people either love it or hate it, lol. I've been looking AR types and most are pretty expensive. I've heard you can build them yourself for pretty inexpensive.

My question though, what pieces am I looking to buy to build one? Obviously the upper and lower receivers, what else?

  • The show sons of guns and the owners truck?

What kind of truck is the owner of the show driving? My father in law has mentioned a couple times that he thinks it's pretty slick. So I was thinking if I could find one I would buy it for his birthday. Problem is, I'm not a car guy so I have no clue what it is.

  • A question about vacuum sealers.?

    Your Question

    Question about vacuum sealers.?

I have purchased about 15 cases of MREs. I was thinking of buying a sealer and making some of my own. 1. To see if it cut down on costs. 2. To add a little more variety. My question is, on average how long will a vacuum sealer extend shelf life, if at all?

  • Hats with the velcro patch on front and black.?

I have a black hat. The hat has a Velcro patch on the front, back and top for some reason. I have the blacked out American flag on the front and my name attached to the back. It is, unfortunately, not fitted/stretch fitted. I've looked and can't seem find one. Not sure if I am wording it right in the search engine. Does anyone have or know where to get a fitted version of this hat?

Here's the style I have for reference:

  • If you could only carry one gun.?

If you could only own/carry own handgun for the rest of your life, what would you carry. Caliber doesn't matter, just has to be a handgun.

  • Glock 17 or Glock 19?

I've been doing some looking and have decided I am going to purchase a Glock for my first handgun. It will be used as often as I can at the range and for home defense. I would like to purchase the 17, I would probably conceal carry as well. The 19 would probably be best if I decided to CCW. If I bought the 19 would I be losing much from the 17 version? Do any of you conceal a 17? Is uncomfortable?

  • a gun opinion question.?

My buddy and I caught up for lunch today. After lunch we decided to head over to one of the local gun stores. My buddy on impulse decided to buy a used G19 3rd gen for about 445.00. I told him he could have had a NIB Ruger SR9 for less.

    Which would you have done?

Just me but I would have gone new. Are Glocks that cherished that used is better than a new gun?

  • Gun order online and FFL transfer?

OK. I am getting ready to purchase a Ruger SR9. I have found it cheaper online and in the OD Green I want. I haven't owned a handgun prior. If I were to order online would that seller run my background check? Or do I order it from them and then it's on the FFL that received my gun to run it? How does that work? I've never had so much as a run in with the law, minus getting lectured about throwing rocks when I was like 10, lol. If this is the route I went what would be the process?

  • The Steps in purchasing a handgun in Indiana?

Okay. I'm having trouble tracking down an exact answer via google. What are the steps in purchasing a handgun in Indiana. Pick out a handgun. Fill out the background check. Wait 7 days and then your done? What fees other than the price of the gun and sales tax are involved? I'm out of town so i don't have access to a phonebook to just call a dealer myself.

  • NICS handgun background checks?

I am in the market for a used handgun. The only shop in my area only deals in new sales. If I were to go a gun show can I file it there, how does that work? Can I just file one online so it's out of the way? I've never been arrested or had any problems with the law so I don't see a situation where I would be denied.

  • Handgun for home defense.?

I am a complete novice when it comes to this subject. I have decided to purchase a handgun for home defense. I was looking for thoughts on a simple to use, easy to maintain and store handgun. I realize that it will be quite pricey but I'm really not looking to spend upwards of a grand. I'm not thinking revolver as it would also be part of my bug-out bag.
