  • Do liberals think that minorities inferior?

Not to be offensive, but, Do liberals really believe that minorities are incapable of succeeding in life without their help? It seems like liberal programs are keeping minorities suppressed by not allowing them to succeed on their own.

If I was provided for from cradle to grave, I would not have had the ambition to obtain a better job, continue my education, or care for my own family without the government to tell me how, or provide subsistence.

Yahoo, don't delete this, let them answer. This is not derogatory or inciting any criticizing towards ethnic or religious groups. It just encourages thought and hopefully intellectual responses.

  • Common Ground - abortion?

This is a very sensitive subject, and not intended to hurt or belittle anyone. But I believe we as a people can settle issues with common ground. Unlike our elected officials.

Hopefully Yahoo! won't delete this post.

Please read each bullet and answer respectfully.

    a. Their are many Americans who believe that it is a woman's right to decide period. Many also believe that the father has some say-so in the matter. What is your perspective on this?

    b. Do you believe that life begins at conception? If not, when?

    c. If you believe that abortions are appropriate, do you believe their should be a time limit as to when a woman can decide? 8 weeks? 12 weeks?......

    d. Do you believe that certain groups of people should be able to withdraw all funding for abortions based on their religious views?

    e. Do you believe abortions should be paid for with federal tax money?

As I stated earlier, don't attempt to offend anyone, but describe your answers intelligently and respectfully.

  • Common Ground - Entitlements?

We have been arguing day in and day out abut entitlements, some deserve, some don't deserve them.

Hopefully Yahoo! won't delete this post.

First I want to define my idea of entitlements: Funding, grants, access to medical and education that is completely funded for you. You never put any money into it as an IRA, or Social Security. You never earned it from retiring from the railroad, or served in the military.

I would like civil, and clear answers as to what people truly believe on this subject. Please answer in the following format, addressing each bullet:

    a. How would you describe yourself?

    b. Should non-U.S. citizens be authorized access to entitlements? If so, which ones in particular?

    c. Should Americans who receive entitlements, be limited as to how much or how long they go for?

    d. Do you think Social Security should be used for welfare programs?

Please add information as you deem fit, but as a minimum answer a through d.

You don't need to get vulgar or use inappropriate language, but let me know what you perceive as a viable policy.

  • Reform - Guns in America. Can we as Americans come up with a viable solution?

Reform - Guns in America. Can we as Americans come up with a viable solution?

We all know that the subject of the Second Ammendment is a major concern in this country, are the left and right so terribly divided that we cannot come up with a viable solution? I think not.

This is a call to all conservatives and liberals to determine what road we can take, which would be agreeable to the majority of Americans.

Please address this problem by first stating your affiliation, a little bit about you, then describe what you think would be the best solution for America.

    Consider the following:

    1. Current laws (vary from state to state)

2.One's right to defend themselves or their loved ones

    3. When to use a weapon and when not too

    4. Pros and cons "Stand Your Ground", or "Castle Laws"

    5. Background Checks

    6. Address any situations I have left off the list.

I believe as Americans, we can come to agreements without lobbyists or radicals on either side of the aisle making demands. Speak from your heart.

I tried doing this before, and Yahoo! banned my questions. They would rather polarize, than help with any resolutions.

  • Would you sink this low?

A well-known female liberal blogger and radio host at the University of Wyoming (UW) is being accused by police of fabricating a rape threat against herself to appear as if it came from a conservative.

The obscene message directed at activist Meg Lanker-Simons was posted on a college "crush" Facebook page earlier this week and immediately ignited outrage from the college community.

The University of Wyoming Police Department issued a citation to Lanker-Simons for "interference" for "false statements she made to the UW Police Department," according to a UW statement referred to by Laramie Boomerang Online.

"Subject admitted to making a controversial post on UW Crushes webpage and then lied about not doing it," according to the citation.

The University of Wyoming confirmed a statement that the police had ""obtained substantial evidence verifying that the offending Facebook post came from Lanker-Simons' computer, while the computer was in her possession."

  • What is wrong with showing proof of citizenship?

We require a picture ID to drive, own a gun, and travel. Why not to vote? If you feel you will be disenfranchised by showing an ID, why? If you do not have one, why is it hard for you to obtain one?

  • Should Humberto Leal be executed in the state of Texas tonight?

He was convicted in 1995 in the brutal rape and murder of a 16 year old girl. Leal was born in Mexico, his parents came here illegally when he was 2 years old. He raped and murdered a 16 year old girl, but his lawyers found a catch. As an illegal, he must be a Mexican citizen and have access to the Mexican consulate, which he didn't have. Now the Obama Administaration and the Mexican government are calling for a stay in his execution.

    What do you think?

  • Security Clearance investigation?

I currently hold a TS clearance as a govt contractor. My Periodic reinvestigation is due in 6 months. If the company I work for downgrades me to a Secret, will he govt conduct a PR or accept the current invetigation?

Since an investigation for a TS is good for 5 years, and a investigation for Secret is good for 10-15 years. (depending on backlog).
