Did Yahoo actually test the new version of Mail before releasing it?
Each version of Yahoo Mail seems to be worse than the previous one.
The latest version is an amateurish release, with major features missing.
Also, the new version really difficult to use, and the actual emails are not clearly delineated from the rest of the visual space.
Missing features:
1. Tabs.
2. Missing personal information and notes in the disposable email address section.
3. Exporting all emails is impossible. This essential feature was quietly removed from a previous version of Mail, and was never restored. So it is impossible to back up our emails onto our PCs. Yahoo Mail cannot be considered a professional service without this feature.
Poor layout:
1. Folders are impossible to negotiate, and awkward to view, and it's not possible to see if there are new emails at a glance.
2. The space used for actual emails is not clearly delineated from the rest of the space. It makes it awkward to use. It must be really difficult for people with visual impairment.
3. When viewing conversations, it's impossible to tell which email is the current or most recent one.
4. When viewing an email, it's impossible to know which email folder it is in.
5. Yahoo reminders are not clearly distinguished from emails, and so it is difficult to spot a reminder in a list of emails. This makes the reminder service almost useless.
6. When creating emails, the themes for individual emails are missing.
7. The horizontal line is missing from email formatting (it was never restored from a previous version of Mail.) The horizontal line is a very helpful formatting feature. Surely it can't be difficult to restore it?
2 AnswersOther - Yahoo Mail8 years agoWhere is my information in the disposable email address section?
In the new version of Yahoo Mail, the extra personal information that was stored with the disposable email addresses is missing. This contained essential information, that has now disappeared without any prior warning from Yahoo. When will this information be restored? It is essential and urgent that this information is restored.

How can I justify celebrating life when there is so much suffering in the world?
How can I feel joy when another person suffers?
How can I pay respect to those who are suffering whilst allowing myself to feel joy and celebrate life?
30 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can I encourage and grow the emotion of unconditional love?
I am interested in nurturing the emotion of unconditional love...
I'm not asking about romantic love in this question.
Thanks very much for any help.
Please note that I do not believe in a God or any religions, so answers relating specifically to 'God' would not be helpful to me, although i'm always interested in ideas and other people's perspectives.

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan you recommend a book by the Dalai Lama?
Or could you suggest what The Dalai Lama's best books are?
I'm interested in books by the Dalai Lama aimed at the lay person, not in-depth meditation instructions, or more complex technical Buddhist discussion.
Could you please say a little about what the book is about, and why you are recommending it.
Thanks for any help.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can I access the universal consciousness?
I am frustrated only looking out from behind these two eyes,
I am frustrated using only my own small brain,
I am frustrated only having access to this very small, compartmentalised, walled section of consciousness,
How can I access the infinite and the universal?
I'm not really looking for answers related to Christianity, so may I request that simplistic answers are avoided, such as 'Trust in God', or 'Believe in God'.
Thank you for any help you can give.
30 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can I review which items were 'restored' from my recycle bin?
I had about 300 items in my recycle bin and I accidentally clicked on 'restore all items'.
Now I've got loads of old and duplicate files all over my PC.
Is there any way to review which files were restored so i can delete them again?
Any help would be much appreciated.
I use Windows Vista Premium.
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoWhy do people bother giving answers like "duh" on Yahoo Answers?
I recently received a whole load of non-answers to a question that i asked.
I admit that my question was an unusual idea, but it was still a serious philosophical question.
I mean, how does "You really don't get it" or "You have no idea what you're talking about, do you?" add to the discussion or the field of debate... how do such answers enlighten me?
Here's a list of the stupid answers that i received:
- "You really don't get it."
- "duh"
- "You have no idea what you're talking about, do you?"
- "My Buddhist friend would put YOU out of your misery"
- "if it includes you yes"
- "i always wondered if someone could live without a brain. and here we have genuine proof!"
Am I just wasting my time on Yahoo Answers these days?
20 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoShould good Buddhists encourage the extinction of all animal species?
If the Buddhist philosophy is to seek to end suffering for all beings, then should good Buddhists encourage the extinction of all animal species (including humans) in order to stop the daily suffering of so many billions of animals?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do governments around the world refuse to legislate against pollution?
Ever since plastic was invented decades ago, we have known that it is non-biodegradable and toxic. So why, decades later, have no governments legislated to insist that plastic can only be made which is non-toxic and biodegradable or at least 100% recycled. The oceans are awash with discarded plastic which will never degrade.
What stops the human race from taking responsibility for it's actions and taking care of our planet for future generations?
And plastics are just the tips of the polluting iceberg... there are plenty of toxic chemicals that we pump into the environment daily
And the US military uses depleted uranium in it's weapons...
It's just unbelievable...
Am I right to give up caring any more?
9 AnswersOther - Environment1 decade agoIs it sensible to give up hope for the environment?
I care passionately about our natural world, but watching it's steady and relentless demise over the decades is depressing. Is it sensible to give up on it now, or is there still time and is it still possible, considering the nature of humanity, to save the natural world from total destruction? Does the human race have the capacity to save large areas of the natural environment? (it doesn't look like it to me)

I'm looking for plants that really treat depression, not just a mild soother.

5 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoCan you recommend a book about the weird aspects of Quantum Physics?
Can you recommend an up-to-date book that is purely about the weird aspects of Quantum Physics? ie entanglement, double-slit experiments and retro-causality.
It's got to be fairly easy to read for a lay person with a basic understanding about quantum effects (I'm not looking for a physics text book of a book filled with equations).
I'd like to read about the latest discoveries and research, so it's got to up to date.
Thanks very much for any info.
