I have been checking this place out, including flying/looking over via Google Earth. From what I saw, it's beautiful. The closest I've been is the highway going to Davao, and of course Butuan.

I got to admit, we are a quiet bunch. Unless of course we are in a party, karaoke, "yapping" here and watching Manny Pacqiuao fight.

My family just got back from our vacation in Philippines. Mostly spent in Zamboanga, Davao and Manila in that order. All I can say is "Awesome". But, it just went by like a typhoon. We enjoyed every moment spent like: local shopping, beaches, the food and fruits and mingling with the relatives, reconnecting with the roots.

Bottom line, two weeks is not enough. I'm coming back for more.

I know this is a question I already answered. This should be in the forum. I just want to let you know, that "two weeks is NOT enough".

I'm a fourth generation of Salazar's from Philippines. My Dad, started inquiring about who was the man who came to Philippines during the conquest of the new world which we got our family name. But, unfortunately my Dad is getting too old to expend energy on this quest, so I took over as the eldest of the sibling. Any leads, I would be very grateful.
