Well, I wasn't very addicted to yahoo answers until a few days ago and now I've gone up 3 levels ;] I'm 14 and I'm from Massachusetts. Not that big a deal though ;P If you ask silly questions you get silly answers, if you ask serious questions you get serious answers, if you ask stupid questions... you get the idea... I ride on an IEA team (Zone 1, class 11, High school team). Talk to me if you are on a team, too ;] I'm a friendly person (most of the time). I hate when you get thumbs down on opinion questions or polls. I've ended up with thumbs down because it is cold in Massachusetts? That horse on my icon is not mine. He's at the barn I ride at and he is like my horse soul mate<3 True love right there ;] I will not judge you for race, sexual orientation, age, abilities, gender, etc. But I will judge you for being stupid. I come on every day and answer pretty random questions. Alright now I am running out of characters so just message me for anything else. ;]
Division. Are you up for this one?
Does anyone want to solve this one?:

1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoFacts on World War One weapons?
So I have a poster that I need to finish for tomorrow, and I was thinking about adding an envelope filled with "fun facts."
The topic is weapons used in WW1.
While I finish cutting out the cards, will someone be so kind as to give me some fun facts? ;]
The weapons used were the rifle, machine gun, gas, zeppelin (blimp), tank, planes, and torpedoes.
It can be about how the weapons have progressed since WW1 or just random facts.
All answers are appreciated and 10 points to the best answer.
Thanks in advance!

14 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoGetting over the show nerves?
Well, I've been riding horses for over 5 years and my barn just started competing in IEA (interscholastic Equestrian Association) shows this year (For those of you who are involved with IEA, I'm in zone 1, class 11, high school team). I've been to only two shows out of like 4 or 5 this season because my mom went into the hospital and I was too late with filling in an entry. I am going into the last show this season and really want to get a good placing. I ride on the flat, walk, trot (rising and sitting), and cantering in both directions. We have never met the horses we will ride and they are chosen randomly, which is probably one of the reasons I am so nervous!
Usually my instructor doesn't have to correct me during practices and weekly lessons, I will hear an occasional "Your leg is wobbling a bit."
I don't know what it is, but during show day I lose all my confidence and completely suck.
Last show I ended up with the wrong lead for most of the class! Getting a lead is something I can do in my sleep most of the time.
I want to know from experience how to get over the pre show nerves.
I do not jump at the shows, btw, so please don't give me any jumping pointers.
The show is in about 4 days, there is one more practice before the show.
Help?

4 AnswersFamily1 decade agoWhich classes should I take?
I'm a freshman in high school and want to know which classes I should take next year if I want to major in Equine Management in college. I probably should have asked this a year ago so I wouldn't have wasted my freshman year in Chefs and Microsoft. : \
I go to a public school so we don't have any electives that really go into a main ovation. Do I take a business class?
2 AnswersHorses1 decade agoDublin Riding Boots Problem!?
Okay so I bought a pair of Dublin Tall Boots and shortly after I broke them in, the zipper split completely. I mean all the way down so there was no hope in fixing them. That was four days before the out-of-state horse show. I went to the tack store (Dover Saddlery) and they were great and had a new pair of the boots brought in. I broke them in and there are more competitions soon. (this Sunday, next Sunday and the Sunday after). Today is Tuesday. Well, 12:16a.m. so technically it is Wednesday. I have a lessons today (Wednesday) and Saturday (the day before the show).
Anyways, with my new pair of boots, the zipper broke again while I was bending down to pick up a hard brush. I ALWAYS have the boot trees in, and all the way down, and whenever I am wearing the boots, they are zippered all the way up. I went back to Dover Saddlery to try on a new pair (I was looking for Ariat) because I was fed up with Dublin zippers. No pair fit my size 10 foot, tall legs. The part on the outside of my knee has too much room and if I go to med height the boots aren't going to be tall enough when they are broken in.
I could wait until Thursday when the boots come into Dover Saddlery and try breaking them in before the show, or I could use black electrical tape and tape up the boots I have that are already broken in. Should I risk the tape falling off or the judges seeing the tape or should I live in the new boots until they are broken in by Sunday morning? Does anyone else have any temporary solutions with a broken zipper on a tall boot? I found a great pair of Ariat pull-on tall boots but they were half a size too small (Foot size 9, I can squeeze into a 9 1/2). The pull on boots are discontinued though. Does anyone know any brands that make pull on boots, that would solve my zipper problem! Thanks.
2 AnswersHorses1 decade agoHelp with "Sims 2 Fun with Pets?"?
I recently bought a used Sims 2 Fun with Pets game for my PC. When I tried installing it on my laptop it said that I need to go back to the store and buy the regular Sims 2 and install both of them in order for the Pets to work. When I bought the game it was part of a 3 game set but they were sold separately. I looked back at the case and realized that in the bottom right corner, it says "Requires the Sims 2 to play." Oops. I don't have the Sims 2 and the store has none left in stock and don't know when they will be getting more. Is there a way to install the game without the original Sims 2? Here is what the game looks like: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51WPqAO0xyL....

3 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoAnkles while riding horses, 6 days left 'til big show. Help?
Well, I was born with bad Achilles heels (the muscle behind your ankle) and I've done stretches and stuff but then stopped when it seemed to get stronger. Now, for those of you who don't ride horses, keeping your heels down is crucial while riding! My heels get in pain whenever I put them down for too long and they don't always go down as much as they should. The horse show is in 6 days from today. It's on Saturday, December 5th. I have two more chances on a horse before the show. What exercises can I do that will improve my ankles in about a week? I know I shouldn't have put it off until now but I thought my ankles were not going down because of my new tall boots. That is not the case so I need your help. Thank you so much :]
Oh one more thing! I have injured both ankles in the past (the left one multiple times), would that have anything to do with my achilles heels?
2 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoAny tips for my first BIG horse show?
Any last minute tips for my first IEA horse show? D;
*This is not my first horse show, it's just the first one on the IEA team.*
I'm so nervous because my barn just started IEA horse shows. We've been practicing for months, I've been riding for about 6 years and have competed in many shows. I think the thing about this show is that I'm on a team and don't want to disappoint my coach and teammates, I will be riding in an unfamiliar barn and on an unfamiliar horse. D: Any tips from experience to help me shake my nerves? :]
The things I'm mostly nervous about are these:
We may have to do a test like answering questions, half-turn on the haunches, changing horses or leads at the canter, etc.
If we take one step to the side, back or forward while mounted, we are like disqualified
I don't know the horse I will be on so I don't know if they have a soft mouth or not!
I don't think we will have time to practice so I don't know how much leg they need to get them going, if they are good about leads, etc.
If they ask a question, I might get nervous and if I sound unsure, it won't count! I also don't know what kind of questions they will ask.
HELP?!
If you don't know what IEA is, here you go ;D http://www.rideiea.com/
