  • Have any of you tried Pure Balance dog food yet?

I know, I know, it is from WalMart and in addition is an "Old Roy" branded product :-(

I understand it is produced in the US, and Dog Food Advisor gives it 3.5 stars. We were feeding Chicken Soup For the Dog Lover's Soul, but our local pet supply has stopped carrying it. Costco is almost 50 miles away, otherwise we would feed Kirkland Signature, and the premium brands around here are sold in smaller bags. (We feed three large dogs, buying food 18 lbs at a time is not an option, plus expensive.)

Just wondering if anyone has already tried it. I welcome any thoughts on the product, or anything you may have heard from another source, good bad or indifferent. . Thank you for your time.

  • Has your dog ever had cruciate ligament surgery? How was the recovery period?

Our GR granddog had an injury today, I assume from playing with our GSD. Vet says torn cruciate ligament. At least it's not hip dysplasia. I have read that such injuries are fairly common in large dogs, especially Goldens and Labs. So Bojangles is having repair surgery tomorrow. I used to work in the Operating Room, so I am not a stranger to surgery and post op care. I understand the recovery period is at least 6-8 weeks with on leash limited activity only, followed by a few more weeks of therapy and increasing activity. Would like to hear from anyone who has gone through this, especially if you have had good results and what are some things you did or what should I watch for. How good was the final outcome? Is your dog fully mobile again or is there some loss of function or mobility? Our vet expects a good outcome, but I'd just like to hear from others, particularly if you have a great success story. Thanks!

  • Is there some trick in viewing mobile Flickr on a home computer?

I can never see links that begin with m.flickr, which I assume is the mobile upload site.

  • Does anyone know what happened to the Rajat Tokas questions here in the photography section?

I saw an answer from his real girlfriend a few minutes ago, made me realize I haven't seen a question about him in a long time.

  • Help with new wide-screen monitor..images stretched?

Good news, new computer arrived today. Bad news, everything is stretched. Doesn't bother me too bad about the words and icons, but I am a photographer and all photos are distorted. I have tried setting properties to various resolutions, low to high but images remain distorted. I am not a computer guru, so if you can help with a simple answer, I would appreciate it. It's a Dell if that matters, with a 20" flat screen. Thanks so much!

  • Please look at this, are these orbs?

I took this outdoors, not using flash. This is from film. After it was developed I saw all these strange, inexplicable forms. I did not see ANYTHING with my eyes, and my husband said he didn't see them at the time either. Are they here from the afterlife? Should I send this to a ghost hunting site?

  • How are my Photoshop skills? Do you like this picture?

Question "Am I Ugly" was deleted, so maybe you can give me an opinion of the Photoshop and selective color skills used here.

    Thanks!
