Regulus did move when I scooted the plant next to him over, and his gills move and he makes the "suck" face sometimes. He also occasionally moves his eye to look at my finger when I move it by him on the outside of the glass.

I have him in a 10 gallon tank with a Silver Lyretail Mollie right now. I will be adding a few more fish in a week or so after the tank has stabilized entirely (it sat for a week running with no fish in it and it had not had any fish in it in years before we set it up again). Lyra seems perfectly happy and is swimming around investigating everything. I'm really quite worried about Regulus though because he was very energetic when we brought him home yesterday. After having read that corys need a buddy, I think I'll be dropping one of my other planned fish and getting a peppered cory as a buddy for him instead (since it's apparent that Lyra doesn't need one, she's been super independent ever since we got her home). Do you think that's what could be wrong, that he's lonely?
