Runnin for my life '73

I want to know if I need to start looking at new tv's or if I should wait and buy a converter for my existing tv. I thought this was supposed to happen in 2007 or 08, which is fast approaching!

My friend has dark hair, so the "mustache" shows easily, I know it is harder and she needs to maintain it more than a fair haired person. This has never been a problem before, but it is getting out of hand and I think keeping nice guys from hitting on her! I have tried subtle hints, like that I need to shave my legs, put nair on my upper lip, etc, but it hasn't worked yet. Help! I am going out on the town with this woman and feel embarassed for her!!

Ok, I'm on a date with a guy that I really like, and who has already freaked out once before about the fact that everything is so right between us, we have chemistry and like each other, his parents like me, his parents like my parents, his friends like me, we have similar families, backgrounds, goals, both want marriage and family (at least he said this, I don't know if he means it), etc. He couldn't figure out how to TELL me this at the time, but eventually came to this conclusion and we talked about it on our last date, which was Sunday. So things are more than a bit touch and go right now, and I don't want to freeze again when he asks me again:

(in a desperate, pitiful voice) "we don't have to rush into anything do we?"

I froze the 2x he asked it, and really don't think I said anything except looked stunned at the time.

I don't want to just say "no" cause I am 34 and don't/won't wait more than a year of dating w/o an engagement cause I want kids sometime. Help!

Sister just announced her wedding date and I am in charge of a ton of stuff, like the table centerpieces for the reception. Love to find some webpages that give step by step directions on how to do this and lots of ideas! I will do the silk table arrangements and probably we will also have some fresh flowers for her to carry. Thanks for your help & enthusiasm!

Slept with my ex-bf on 2 ocassions now that we are both single. He was freaked out after the first time as he had lingering feelings for his last ex and he was a bit overwhelmed by the emotion. I txt messaged him 2x & 1 IM, but didn't hear back for 2 weeks, this Saturday when he txts me "sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, it was still emotional" wants to talk, but I thought that meant talk in person on another date, got all fixed up, turns out he meant talk on the phone, but we decided to get together at his place to watch a movie (& I assumed to talk). Watched it & then slept together, passion is still there for sure, stayed overnight, felt weird and I barely slept. Next morning still no talking, round #3, then I took off. I'm not calling him cause the balls in his court and I contacted him 3x last time. I still have feelings for him, we were almost engaged. Aggh. Need advice! Note, we are in our 30's not teenagers, but feels like it.

I just went on a date and when the guy asked if I wanted kids, I said yes, because I do want them. Then he asked if I could have them, and I felt kinda funny and said "I don't see why not" with a strange look on my face. I told him that I've never tried to have them before, so I don't know, nor have I ever asked my doctor if I CAN'T have them? I am still young and healthy. Mind you, he was married before and she couldn't have kids, but this is our first date...what a weirdo!

Anyone ever been cornered like this? Got a better response? And NO WAY am I going out with him again, he was weird and cheap.

Dinner was nice, conversation flowed, decent first date. The check arrived & sat there for 30 minutes! I refused to look at it, finally went to the bathroom. I strongly considered setting my cell phone alarm for a "rescue ring" but did not. Came back, yawned a few times saying that I had to go, he finally got the hint and flipped over the bill & pulled out $. Mind you guys, we got no appetizers, no alcoholic drinks like $10 cosmos, & one of the cheapest entrees there, so I am not high maintenance waiting to be "taken care of"...just never had the expectation placed on me to pay for a first date EVER! He put some money down & then asked me to take care of the tip, which I did (also have never had to do this except when with an actual boyfriend, not a date). And yes, I usually do pay "my half" or for an entire date later on. Ladies, love 2 know how much of the time you have to pay for any part of a first date, and tip only or "your half"? Is chivalry dead?

Last year I had a container garden with tomato plants. I had tons of blossoms and thought I would have quite the harvest! But from 6 plants I got only 6 tomatoes cause they got "early blight", a tomato disease. We had a rainy August here in Wisconsin, and that is how it spreads, plus took in the diseased leaves into a local gardening center for help plus treatment. It was too late though, and since I had bought the plants during the summer, they didn't have the strong roots to fight it off. This year, after a lot of reading, I've started from seed plants that are immune to these diseases. I am also supposed to sterilize the pots (which I have done with bleach), and get new soil. I have a lot left though from last year and am wondering if I can bake the viruses out of it and mix it with the fresh new potting soil to get the good new "live" minerals mixed back in?

I'm dating a really nice man with really bad BO. I hadn't noticed it right away, but is has been an issue 3x now on dates. Unfortunately, I told him on early dates that he smelled nice (cologne), cause on THOSE days, the BO wasn't bad, just kind of musky/sweaty. I don't know if he doesn't wear an antipersperant or deodorant or maybe it is that he doesn't shower enough, but its getting to the point of not mattering anymore cause it is gross and I'm embarrassed thinkning about introducing him to anyone. How do I get the message across easily, nicely, with the least amount of embarassment?

PS: I am going to his home and will check out his bathroom tonight to see what, if anything he uses!

I don't want to have to lug my laptop soley to charge the mp3 player! There is no other way to charge it except via USB port. I hope to plug it into a hotel computer overnight before my marathon. I need music cause I will be running HOURS.

I am running my first marathon in Dublin, Ireland soon and love my mp3 player. It gets charged by plugging into a computer via my USB port. I really don't want to have to drag my laptop there, to potentially get stolen, since I just got it 2 months ago. I was hoping to bring the mp3, its cord, then plug into a computer at the hotel, just to charge it up the day before the race. Anybody know? Thank you very much...running without music would be absolutely horrible...especially that far (we are slow runners, so we will take every second of the 8 hours given!).
