I've worked in customer service for a few years and about 95% of the irate customers I speak to are white men. They complain about BS and want to spend 30 minutes on the phone complaining about a 2 cent increase in their bill.

It's like they play things out in their head before they call- which poor sap will I call today and chew out!

They come across as if they're the only paying customers and try to test your intelligence on every single issue.

They complain about taxes and how high gas and electricity are. I work for a cable company and sometimes I want to tell them to get their priorities in order. Either you'll use your money to buy electricity and gas for your family's sake or they'll starve while you watch cable TV. Get the freakin' cable turned off!!

Stop complaining about every freakin' thing. I don't want to hear about it if it's not related to cable!!

And why do they ALWAYS ask for a supervisor?? Especially for BS issues.
