Is religion a false view of what actually happened?
I'm only asking because I'm starting to see things link up more and more. I think all religions are based off events, and we just misinterpreted what they really were.
Mainly, I believe that we misinterpreted extraterrestrials as "gods". And it makes sense if you look at the evidence. I mean all over the world there are pictures and figurines of spacecraft and beings in spacesuits. Honestly, ever since watching Ancient Aliens I almost 100% believe everything they've said. And it's not like it COULD MAYBE have happened SORT OF, all the evidence that they give (of which I'm not going to explain it all, because it's a vast amount of information) and corroborate with religious beliefs fits together perfectly.
Think about it, it's completely logical to believe in aliens, and anyone who disagrees is ignorant to the night sky and all of science and logic. Well, if aliens exist and came to primitive Earth, then it's damn logical to believe that early human, without basically any technology but agriculture and very simple tool-work [WITHOUT flight, light, rapid travel, current factual knowledge about the cosmos (about even the shape and location of the Earth relative to everything else) mistook creatures that came down from the sky in brightly illuminated spacecraft (which they believed to be chariots of fire and so forth) and landed and helped them construct and build things and cause natural disasters that only "gods" could enact. They are obviously not going to assume that they are beings from another planet or galaxy because they believed they were alone and the backdrop of space was actually a backdrop. They are obviously going to interpret those visitations as visitations from "gods" and "angels".
And that's being perfectly logical. What's your opinion on this take of religion?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do we like music?
Why do certain people enjoy certain types of music more than others? Why do we even enjoy music? Does it have to do with the release of a small amount of serotonin, dopamine, or any other neurotransmitter when we hear music that sounds good, and that is why it sounds good? I have no idea and I tried looking it up on the internet for a while and couldn't find anything.
3 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoDMT and the sight of God?
Alright, so research shows a strong correlation between naturally produced DMT in the brain and religious visions, near-death experiences, and other mystical states. Many scientists believe that spontaneous, accidental releases of the neurotransmitter DMT causes these visions. So being that it is based on factual information and could very well be true, how does that make religious individuals feel? The idea that there God could have been a drug induced hallucination by their prophets?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do some people believe in god?
Give me on good reason. And give me evidence that proves his existence and don't say crap like quotes from the bible, , vague sayings about how we are just supposed to "know" that the evidence is there, easily proven wrong statements (ie. if the Earth were one mile closer to the sun, we would burn up, and if it were one mile farther we would freeze | everyone knows that the Earth's orbit fluctuates millions of miles on a yearly basis), or say anything like "because we have to believe in order for him to be there". So come on, show me the real evidence because I'm tired of hearing bullshit.

My friend accidentally read the label on mucinex DM wrong and took 4 pills instead of 2. What is the worst physical damage that could be done? And how long will the nausea last for?
2 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoIs it normal to have INtolerance to marijuana?
Every time I smoke, even if it's the same amount of hits, same weed, same method of smoking (I usually use a pipe or joint), I always get higher than the last time I smoked. Like when I first started smoking, I could take upwards of 10 hits without feelings anything but a barely noticeable buzz. But now, I can take one hit and be hella chill for three hours. A couple days ago, I took about five hits from a joint (and it wasn't that good of weed), and I was completely high for like 4 hours. But then last night, with the same weed, I took around maybe six hits (I had actually lost count, because I was so high before I finished smoking) and I had a horrible trip. Every little sound sounded like speakers on full volume. Being in my room, even with the tv off, I couldn't hear anything clearly that was like 5 feet away and I thought that my mom was yelling at me from outside my door because I kept hearing vague voices (which I later determined to be my parents tv). I got hella scared and my heart started pounding at like 140 beats per minute and I thought I was gonna have a heart attack. I mean the visuals (everything seemed really shaky, the walls would detach from the carpet it seemed like and bounce around in the same place, if that makes any sense. and everything was doing that) were not scary at all, just the way I felt and heard stuff scared the **** out of me. I was extremely high without any bit of comedown for about four hours before I fell asleep. And that whole experience was just one more hit than my previous and I got SOOO much higher. And usually every time I smoke it increases the high a lot (but I rarely have bad trips, so it's usually a good thing, haha). But does anyone else get this? Is any one else intolerant to marijuana?
7 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoWould it be dangerous to take shrooms with acyclovir?
Acyclovir is an antiviral medicine, if that helps for those of you who don't know what it is. Would it be dangerous to combine shrooms and an antiviral pill (because I need to take it, not because I want to make the trip any better or anything like that).
2 AnswersMedicine1 decade agoCould doing shrooms cause shingles?
Recently I tried magic mushrooms and a couple days later, I was diagnosed with shingles (herpes zoster) around my eye. I was wondering if their could be any correlation between the two?

3 AnswersBotany1 decade agoDoes holding marijuana smoke in for longer make the high less relaxing?
When I first started smoking marijuana, I could barely hold the hits in for less than 10 seconds. Back then, the highs were extremely dreamlike and relaxing. But now, being able to hold each hit it for well over 30 seconds, the high is agitated, shaky, and fairly uncontrollable. I mean it only takes about three hits to get me high now, but the high is not nearly as pleasant. Would the loss of a dreamlike and relaxing high be from holding the smoke in for as long as I can?
3 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoWould it be safe to do this if...?
Alright, so ever since the summer of last year I've wanted to try LSD. Please don't judge me however, because I haven't done it. But I recently found out that my mother has schizophrenia. Would it be safe for me to try LSD even if my mom has this?
5 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoAre there any household ingredients that you can get high from?
Like I heard if you smoke ground coffee it gives you a nicotine buzz. And don't tell me not to do drugs, I am just kinda curious if you can actually get high from coffee or anything else you can find around the homestead.
Thanks :)
3 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoWhat is a great kind of funny present for my girlfriend for Christmas?
What is a great, sort of funny Christmas present that I could get my girlfriend. I don't want jewelry (because I already have that) or flowers or anything else that every guy has given his girlfriend for the past 1000 of years, I need something spontaneous, new, funny, and meaningful. She likes whales. We met and had our first kiss at the movies. We're 15 and have been going out for almost 5 months if this helps any. And not to be mean or anything, but if you say something like "give her something that reminds her of you two together" or anything like that, please don't answer, I want a specific thing, thank you! :D
1 AnswerChristmas1 decade agoIf you take half of an ecstasy tablet, will you feel half the effects of taking a whole one?
I was just wondering because I took half of an ecstasy pill and it didn't feel that ecstatic at all, it kinda felt like a kind of noticeable marijuana high. If I take a whole one, will it feel like everyone says it is supposed to feel like (empathetic, loving, euphoric, etc.)?
4 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoIs it true that if you...?
Okay, I don't want you to judge me, I DO NOT want answers like "just get high on life" or "don't do drugs they mess you up in the head" and crap like that, I'm just curious cause I read some shaman site of which I can't find anymore and it said that if you take the pedals of a California Poppy and soak them in water for like a week, that if you drink the water, it gives you a relaxing opiate-like high. Is that true?
