  • Why are Catholic priest forbidden to marry?

    In 1079 AD celibacy was first enforced for priests and bishops by Pope Gregory VII. Before this time, they were permitted to marry.

    Question #1: Does the Bible teach that a bishop (overseer) must be married AND ALSO have children as one of the conditions of being qualified to be a bishop?

    Answer: 1 Timothy 3:2-5 o YES NO o

    "A bishop, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?)" 1 Timothy 3:2-5

    Question #2: In the very next chapter of the Bible after bishops are told they must be married with children, does the Holy Spirit warn that "forbidding to marry" is a "doctrine of demons"?

    Answer: 1 Timothy 4:1-3 o YES NO o

    "But the Holy Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth." 1 Timothy 4:1-3

    Most Catholics believe that Apostle Peter was the first Pope and was not married. As one Roman Catholic leader said, "if Peter had a wife when he first met Jesus, he got rid of her quick!"

    Question #3: Did Peter/Simon have a wife?

    Answer: Mark 1:30 o YES NO o

    "Now Simon's mother-in-law was lying sick with a fever; and immediately they spoke to Jesus about her." Mark 1:30

    Question #4: Did Paul say all the apostles including Peter had a right to be married?

    Answer: 1 Corinthians 9:5 o YES NO o

    "Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?" 1 Corinthians 9:5

  • Why does Obama lie about inheriting $1 trillion in debt?

    In 2008 The democratic controlled House and Senate passed the 2009 budget. Barack Obama voted for it as a Senator. They never sent it to the White House until Obama took office and signed the budget so the $1 trillion deficit Obama "inherited" is the one he voted for and signed as president and we have been living under that budget for 4 years. So how can anyone believe Obama when he blames Bush for the $1 trillion deficit he "inherited". Are democrats ignoring facts or are they ignorant of them?

  • How could blood clot if left to evolution?

    “Platelets” play an important role in preventing the loss of blood by beginning a chain reaction that results in blood clotting. As blood begins to flow from a cut or scratch, platelets respond to help the blood clot and to stop the bleeding after a short time.

    Platelets promote the clotting process by clumping together and forming a plug at the site of a wound and then releasing proteins called “clotting factors.” These proteins start a series of chemical reactions that are extremely complicated. Every step of the clotting must go smoothly if a clot is to form. If one of the clotting factors is missing or defective, the clotting process does not work. A serious genetic disorder known as “hemophilia” results from a defect in one of the clotting factor genes. Because they lack one of the clotting factors, hemophilia sufferers may bleed uncontrollably from even small cuts or scrapes.

    To form a blood clot there must be twelve specific individual chemical reactions in our blood. If evolution is true, and if this 12-step process didn’t happen in the first generation (i.e., if any one of these specific reactions failed to operate in their exact reaction and order), no creatures would have survived. They all would have bled to death!

    How could blood clot if left to evolution? How could life ever have started if these 12 steps weren't designed?

  • Is Peter the rock the church is founded on.....?

    or is the true church founded on what Peter said “You are [j] the Christ, the Son of the living God.”?

    Matt 16:18 I also say to you that you are [l] Peter(petros), and upon this [m]rock(petra) I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

    Catholics claim Jesus is naming Peter the 1st pope then keep reading and see that Jesus then calls Peter a stumbling block and calls Peter Satan.

    Matt 16:23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on [u]God’s interests, but man’s.”

    Does the Catholic church claim that the church is built on Satan because Jesus called Peter Satan?

    How is Peter(petros) considered a rock(petra) when he denied knowing Jesus the night Jesus was murdered?

    1 Cor. 10:4, "and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock (petros) which followed them; and the rock (petra) was Christ."

    Psalm 18:31, "And who is a rock, except our God."

    Isaiah 44:8, "Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none."

    How can Peter be considered infallible when during the transfiguration Peter asks to build altars to Moses Eliaja and Jesus and God rebukes him from Heaven saying to worship only Jesus and after Jesus death and resurrection Paul has to correct the doctrine of Peter at Antioch. • Jehovah's Witness' Jesus is God?

    1x1x1=1

    Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,

    Notice during the baptism ritual that the Bible says to baptize in the name not names implying the 3 are singular one God with 3 persons.

    Who is the Shepherd?

    Psalms 23:1Jehovah is my Shepherd. I shall lack nothing.

    Ezekiel 34:31 “‘And as regards YOU my sheep, the sheep of my pasturing, YOU are earthling men. I am YOUR God,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.”

    John 10:14I am the fine shepherd, and I know my sheep and my sheep know me,

    Hebrews 13:20Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an everlasting covenant, our Lord Jesus,

    In the 1st 2 passages it is clear that God is the Shepherd and we are his sheep yet in the 2nd 2 passages it is Jesus who is the Shepherd. Clearly the Father and the Son are equal.

    Isaiah 9:6

    For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

    Even in the Witness' Bible Jesus is called Mighty God with a capital G.

    John 14:8-9

    Philip said to him: “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

    Jesus said to him: “Have I been with YOU men so long a time, and yet, Philip, you have not come to know me? He that has seen me has seen the Father [also]. How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

    That seems pretty straight forward

    Who gets the glory?

    Isaiah 42:8 “I am Jehovah. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory, neither my praise to graven images.

    Isaiah 48:11 For my own sake, for my own sake I shall act, for how could one let oneself be profaned? And to no one else shall I give my own glory.

    Hebrews 13:21 equip YOU with every good thing to do his will, performing in us through Jesus Christ that which is well-pleasing in his sight; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

    John 17:5 So now you, Father, glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was.

    In the first 2 verses it is clear that God Jehovah will not give his glory to another but in the second 2 verses it is Jesus who gets the glory. Clearly Jesus is Jehovah God.

    John 1:1 In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.14 So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of undeserved kindness and truth.

    Now in my Bible it says "the Word was God" not "a god" but since we are using the JW Bible I want to make it clear that by these verses we understand that Jesus is the word. So you have to ask yourself if Jesus was not God but "a god" which means that Jesus was a legitimate god He just wasn't THE God so when did he become a legitimate god? Was Jesus a legitimate god after Jehovah or before? Well the answer is in your Bible.

    Isaiah 43:10 “YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”

    12 “I myself have told forth and have saved and have caused [it] to be heard, when there was among YOU no strange [god]. So YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God. 13 Also, all the time I am the same One; and there is no one effecting deliverance out of my own hand. I shall get active, and who can turn it back?”

    Not only is God declaring that there was no God before or after Him He also states that "besides me there is no savior." So if Jesus wasn't part of the Godhead the Trinity then how could he be "a god"? If Jesus wasn't THE God then how could His suffering death and resurrection save us since God states "Also, all the time I am the same One; and there is no one effecting deliverance out of my own hand."

    Anyway there are many other references of the divinity of Jesus in my Bible that were edited in the JW Bible when they wrote it in the 1950's. Many places were Jesus is called the same names in the New Testament that God was called in the Old Testament and when you change those words to suit what you want to teach well then it kinda makes it confusing why the Jews wanted Jesus dead. I mean if he didn't just call himself the same name God called himself in the OT then why are you picking up stones to throw at him?

    The Greek word stauros means any piece of wood sometime it had a cross section sometimes it didn't. There's a few places in my Bible were it says he was hung on a tree. I don't think it really matters but in my head a cross makes sense since the cross is a pagan symbol and Jesus was killed by pagans not Jews.

  • Can anyone explain the inheritance laws of Allah?

    Inheritance laws of Allah [verses: 4:11-12 and 4:176]

    Quran 4:11-12 and 4:176 state the Qur'anic inheritance law. When a man dies, and is leaving behind three daughters, his two parents and his wife, they will receive the respective shares of 2/3 for the 3 daughters together, 1/3 for the parents together [both according to verse 4:11] and 1/8 for the wife [4:12] which adds up to more than the available estate. A second example: A man leaves only his mother, his wife and two sisters, then they receive 1/3 [mother, 4:11], 1/4 [wife, 4:12] and 2/3 [the two sisters, 4:176], which again adds up to 15/12 of the available property.

    In these verses above one can see the total property after adding all distributed parties adds up more than the available property, i.e., totals become more than 1 which are: 1.125 and 1.25. How come? A gross mathematical errors, is not it?

    Let us examine Allah’s mathematical genius once more in different fashion:

    Man dies leaving behind

    Wife is1/8 = 3/24 (4:12)

    Daughters 2/3 = 16/24 (4:176)

    Father 1/6 = 4/24 (4:11)

    Mother1/6 = 4/24(4:11)

    Total = 27/24=1.125

    Woman dies leaving no descendants or ascendants

    Husband, (1/2) = 1/2 (4:12)

    Brother (everything) = 2/2(4:176)

    Total = 3/2 =1.5

    Woman dies leaving no ascendants or descendants and no brother

    Husband, (1/2) = 3/6 (4:12, 4:176)

    Sister (1/2) = 3/6 (4:11)

    Mother (1/3) = 2/6 (4:11)

    Total = 8/6 =1.33

    Man dies leaving behind:

    Wife1/4 = 3/12 (4:12)

    Mother 1/3 = 4/12 (4:11)

    Sisters 2/3 = 8/12 ((4:176)

    Total = 15/12 =1.25

    Adding all distributed properties add up more than the available property, i.e., total becomes more than 1 which are: 1.125, 1.5, 1.33, and 1.25 respectively. Surely, Allah’s mathematics was really divine!!!

    Allah says in Quran that, “I made Qur’an very clear, simple and easy and written in Arabic (44:58, 54:22, 54:32, 54:40) so that Muslims (Arabs of course) can understand very easily?” Please listen what Merciful Allah says in Qur’an: “ But We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? (54:22); and “We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand and learn wisdom (43:3)”. Allah emphatically declared that He made Quran very easy so that Muslims can understand very easily.

    No where in the Quran Allah says that my words must be read with the help of Quranic interpretations and commentaries! Quranic Interpretations and Tafsirs have been invented by some wishful educated Mullahs only to hide Quranic absurdities and contradictions. In fact, Quranic verses are mostly simple to understand and any elementary student can understand very easily.

    Therefore, claiming that Quran is difficult to understand is ludicrous and lame excuse only to hide Allah’s myriads of inanities and flaws.

    Romans 7:2 For the married woman is bound by law to her [a]husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law [b]concerning the husband. 3 So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man.

    These verses seem to suggest that you only get 1 chance at marriage with the only exception being if your spouse dies.
