$50 clean virus remove redundant software etc

$50 install required programs java, internet explorer etc

but then i got stung $100 to upgrade USB to latest version?? What does this even mean? I clearly told the computer doctor I have no intention of using my laptop on the bus (or any public transport) have i been ripped off on USB or is that a fair price?
