  • Need help with a w-4 employee's withholding allowance certificate please.?

I am preparing a w-4 employee's withholding allowance certificate for a second part-time I'm trying to make sure I did this right. :). Following the step-by-step instructions I came up with a "total number of allowances you are claiming" of 4. Like I said, this is a part time job so I obviously don't want too much withheld. On the other hand, I don't want to owe anything come tax time. Here's my situation: I am married, filing jointly. My husband is currently unemployed (but hopefully not for long) and is not having taxes withhled from his unemployment benefits. We also have one child. Also, do I include his unemployment benefits as total income? I would assume yes but on the other hand, he won't be collecting all year & our situation will change at some point. This is awfully confusing to me. Please help. :)

  • I need some tips on house breaking a one year old yellow lab/greyhound mix.?

We are not exactly sure what he's been through but it seems he's never been properly trained & has possibly been abused.

Here's the scoop. We adopted him from a co-worker of my husbands about 2-3 months ago. This person had him for only about 3 months and it seems he kept him outside most of the time and didn't have much time for him. Before that we had no idea where or what he came from.

Since we've had him & even more so recently he's been going pee & poop in the house. We take him out several times a day & give him ample time to go, sometimes up to 30 minutes. Sometimes he goes & he's fine. Other times he's too busy sniffing & playing to concentrate. We can't always stay outside with him the entire time (ie: in the morning when I'm getting the kid ready for school & myself ready for work) so sometimes I'm not sure if he's gone but have to assume he has since he's been out for a while. Then we'll bring him back in & within a few minutes, as soon as our backs are turned he'll eliminate in the house! One day I took him outside in the cold, pouring rain 4 times within a 2 hour time frame and he wouldn't go. I knew he had to pee since he hadn't been out in about 8-10 hours but he wouldn't go. He just wanted to sniff the air and watch the neighbors cat. Soon as we went back in, he peed on the enclosed porch! We are at wit's end! Please help!

  • Do I need a hi-def cable box/connection to watch hi-def on a Samsung LED Smart TV?

We just bought this TV and we have the hi-def cable box and the channels but I've noticed that even the non hi-def channles look amazing and I'm wondering if I really need to spend the extra money or if the TV automatically up-converts the channels or if it only looks that good because of the box. I'm clueless. Thanks.

  • Does anyone know why Pic Citronella Wrist Bands are recommended for ages 5 and over?

I purchased these from Amazon.com for myself, my husband and our 4 year old because the description says "safe for all ages" and when they came in the mail, the back of the package says not intended for children under 5 & not to use on the wrists of children. Does anyone know why? Is it because of the risk of small children putting it in their mouth or is there some other reason? I cannot find a customer service number for the company to ask them.

  • Why am I not able to upload a video to Facebook or You Tube?

A took a short video (under one minute) with my Canon camera (not a camcorder, regular camera) and downloaded it to my lap top. When I try to upload it to FB or You Tube it says it's" loading" for HOURS and never actually finishes. What am I doing wrong? I had no problems with my old camera, also a Canon.

  • Need advice about lap tops?

Looking to buy a new lap top for my husband for Christmas and don't know where to start. Basically, I'm looking for a decent full-size lap top that's fast and under $700. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Can someone also please explain the difference between Pentium, dual core and all that nonsense? And what is a Notebook?

  • Is it possible for cup size to go up and down after childbirth and breastfeeding?

I started out a C/D cup, depending on the bra. After 8 months of breastfeeding my cup size shrunk almost a size and a half, much to my dismay! Most recently I've been buying 38B. Then lately, they are looking bigger, even my husband noticed. And I'm not pregnant. Is this normal?

  • My husband thinks our 18 month old daughter hates us.?

He always envisioned his little girl running up to him yelling "daddy, daddy" when he came home from work...Instead she totally snubs him, lol. Poor guy. I'm a stay at home mom for the most part (work part time) and am with her all day most days. She obviously loves me and gets clingy at times but if someone (anyone) else comes over she'd rather be with them. I can leave and she's like- "see ya"....Doesn't care. Which is good on one hand, but makes me feel a little hurt on the other hand. She never went through any kind of separation anxiety (unless of course I leave her with her dad). And usually when I pick her up from my sister's (who babysits twice a week) she doesn't want to come with me. I know she loves us but some times she acts like she doesn't and I just need to know if this is normal toddler behavior at all. We are good, loving, affectionate parents, so what's the deal

  • Any tips on how to remove a splinter from an 18 month old?

I've tried distracting her with a popsicle and even in her sleep but she won't let me do it. I'm worried it'll get infected. I've also read about using a tomato or cooking oil but I'm concerned that putting food on it would make it more likely to get infected.

  • Can I set up a separate iTunes account for my husband on the same computer?

I just got an iPod finally and synced it up with iTunes. My husband also got one recently and wants to import his CD's to iTunes/iPod but doesn't want any of my music on his iPod (apparently I have cooties) and I can't figure out how to set up a separate account for him. When I tried, it just went right into my iTunes. HELP!

  • Will Clairol Nice N Easy Born Blonde Maxi hair color fry my hair?

I've been dying/lightening my hair for about 20 years, usually med to light blonde. Most of my hair is light blonde right now except the roots but I want it lighter. I've gone to professionals but it never comes out the right color so I'm tired of wasting my money on salons, I can usually do a better job at home but I'm afraid this stuff might be to harsh. The ingredients are: Lightening Powder- potassium persulfate, sodium silicate, ammonium persulfate, silica, sodium laurel sulfate, disodium edta and ultramarines.

Developing Creme- water, hydrogen peroxide, cetearyl alcohol, laureth 23, steareth 21, cetaereth 20, polyquaternium 37, propylene glycol, dicaprylate/dicaprate, styrene/vp copolymer, ppg 1, trideceth 6, etidronic acid.

Liquid Lightener-oleic acid, oleth 2, water, propylene glycol, ethanolamine, isopropyl alcohol, soytrimonium chloride, ethoxydigycol, c12-15 pareth, hexylene glycol, ammonium hydroxide, fragrance, erythorbic acid, sodium sulfite, edta.

Oh my! That's a lot of chemicals!

  • Whats wrong with my baby?

Last Sunday she turned One. Monday she had her 12 month physical and I opted not to get any shots yet because I had a feeling she was getting sick. Just a feeling, no symptoms-odd. Weds I started introducing whole milk (she was on breastmilk till 7 months then organic soy formula)Thurs night she had a fever of 102, same all day Friday. Sat. morning no fever but had diarrhea. Saw the dr again. Doc thinks viral, but I'm not so sure. That afternoon the fever came back then went away that night but the diarrhea reoccured on and off. One poop would be just soft and the next would be diarrhea. This continues to this day (Thyrsday again). So it's been going on for one full week. Plus some nights (like last night) she awoke CONSTANTLY. I thought maybe her tummy hurt. Any ideas what's going on? Am I overreacting? Help!

  • Is there any reason why a 1 year old couldn't eat seaweed? Like the type in sushi or Japanese seaweed salad?

I hear it draws toxins, like lead out of the body and we eat a lot of Japanese food in my family.
