  • Does your company use SEO?

I am the lead designer for the top SEO company in Chicago ( http://www.directhitsolutions.com/ ) and I'm still getting into the SEO game. I'm curious to know what percentage of companies are getting SEO done- or if you're company has had it done and what success you've had?

  • How can I program my website to force IE6 to print fit-to-screen?

I build websites for work and my idiot boss has changed his mind half way through the website about how wide he wants the site to be. Right now it is a static 770px and he wants it down to 700px so that nothing will be cropped when printing from IE6 (ugh).

I've estimated that with the amount of work I've put into the site so far it will take me a LARGE amount of time to resize the entire website- so PLEASE tell me there is a way to force people's browser to fit to page or some other solution. Whether it be CSS or something of the sort, I need help!

  • Why do some rappers add answering machine messages on their cd's?

I was just pondering this today. What sense does it make? They're usually just inside jokes or things only a few people would get. Sometimes they're from famous people- but other times they're completely mysterious. I guess I just don't get it?

  • How do I get a scumbag jailed?

My wife's uncle is being divorced by his thieving wife. She essentially stole his identity (while married) and embezzled about $100,000 from their business. Her boyfriend (who she was having an affair with) is a total scumbag who owes over $2 million in tax liens to the IRS- but they can't seem to find the guy (despite supposed tipoffs). Between the two of them, they have stolen around $2.3 million that we know of- either from the government, the business, or credit companies. How can I get one or both of them jailed for all of these crimes? It seems like a matter a cut above local law enforcement.

  • My employer pays me with 1099 but treats me like a W2. What are my options?

My employer hired me on like any other work I've ever done, requires me to be there at a certain time, and even does things like give me raises for performance. He doesn't pay me overtime, or give me benefits- and gives me a real hard time when I talk to him about the legality of this. Is he breaking the law, and could someone point me to a website showing the legality of this issue?

PS- I'm an Illinois worker if that matters and the job is web design.

  • Internet Explorer is broken?

I will save the rant on how horrible IE is and just say that it is ruining everything I'm trying to do. Since it cannot connect to the internet, I am unable to interact with Fulltilt Poker (depositing money and whatnot) and I cannot use MSN messenger (now essential to a new job I have). When I open up IE, I simply get this: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: You are not connected to the Internet. The website is encountering problems. There might be a typing error in the address."

I can use all other browsers (firefox, etc) and have even tried taking down the firewall. I also checked for spyware and my computer is clean. I have tried installing the newest version of IE but that one doesn't work either. Is there some little setting I don't know about that will make my IE work again? please help!

  • Who liked '23' after watching it?

Before 'The number 23' came out, I posted this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgAMR...

Everyone was overwhelmingly optimistic about the movie, yet now that the movie is out- the reviews are awful. Did you change your mind after watching it?

  • Why are torture movies popular?

With the third installment of the Saw series out as well as movies like Rob Zombie's Hostel- I have to ask: Why are people so interested in this newly developing torture subgenre of horror? I work in a video store and I have little old ladies and teenage girls wanting to rent Saw III and frankly I'm baffled. From all the people I've talked to that watched it- it's just a glorified snuff film. What gives?

  • What is the name of my hearing condition?

I am a 25 year old male. My hearing is fine- and everything sounds just as loud today as it has any other day of my life. My problem is that for the last decade or so I have been having difficulty distinguishing between sounds. I hear a word and it sounds like gibberish because it could be any number of other words- or I listen to any given song and cannot tell at all what is being sung about (this happens with most songs for me even if they are turned up). I don't think my problem is ear related as much as it is brain related due to my inability to make sense of the information coming in. I also have trouble hearing what specifically someone is saying if there is background noise due to the conflict of sounds. Is there a name for what I have- and if so, could someone post a link so I can read up on it? Thanks.
