When you use the word "indian", to whom are YOU referencing? K.I.C.?
I am from Boston, currently reside in Arizona. I have always referenced native americans as indians, as opposed to another term such as "natives" or "native american indians". However, I also referenced people of India origin as indians as well. Being from Mass, I was rarely faced with having to make the distinction during conversation. Now, moved to Arizona, "native american" indians are much more relevant and I am, on relatively more occassions, forced to make the distinction during conversation. I am curious as to how others view the use of the word "indian", and if you believe factors, such as place of residence, influence having to make the distinction during conversation. Keep It Clean (K.I.C.) Please only thoughtful answers.
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoHow many people use Yahoo! answers only to cheat on their homework?
How many people (a percentage of users) do you think use Yahoo answers to get help on their homework? And how many people, do you think, use Yahoo answers to "cheat" on their homework. It is one thing to get help but asking a question that will aid you in making your own decision. It is another thing to ask a question, word for word, and just copy down the answers provided by Yahoo! users. I see this quite a lot, let me know what you think. Please, keep it clean.

5 AnswersZoology1 decade agoShould people be allowed to hunt for sport?
This question is speculative, meant to gauge people's reaction on the matter of Hunting for Sport. What do you think about hunting for sport? Should it be banned, or should it continue? Should we just hunt big game animals, or should we also hunt small game? Should ranches raise animals to be hunted, or should hunting only occur when populations are too high? There are no wrong answers so just let me know what you think !

5 AnswersZoology1 decade agoShould the Mexican Grey Wolf be reintroduced to the southwestern US ?
In 1998, 100 captive breed Mexican Grey Wolves (Canis lupis baileyi) were re-introduced to their native habitat in the southwestern United States, specifically the Blue Range Region between northeastern Arizona and northwestern New Mexico. Throughout the 2000's their numbers have decline rapidly (suggested causes include disease, prohibited hunting, and competition with other carnivores including coyotes and foxes). Formally, the Arizona Fish and Game Department (AZFGD) and New Mexico Game and Fish Department (NMGFD) were solely responsible for overseeing the reintroduction program. However, in 2008 congress voted to de-list the Mexican Grey Wolf as an endangered species because of its classification of sub-species of the Timberland Grey Wolf (Canis lupis lupis). Because of this the state agencies lost their funding and support from the federal government which they were receiving under the Endangered Species Act, and responsibility was turned over to the US Fish and Wildlife Department. Today, it is estimated that less than 40 individuals remain in the Blue Range, while its sister program in Yellowstone National Park reports over 300% increase in population since their re-introduction in 1983. What are your feelings on the reintroduction of the Mexican Grey Wolf, why do you think populations are declining in the Blue Range, and what should the federal government do about it?

2 AnswersZoology1 decade agoIs God responsible for this...?
Say, for instance, you returned home after a long day at work. Tired and dreading having to cook dinner, you slumber into your house and find a gourmet meal waiting for you at the dinner table. By the meal was a note reading "You have had a long day, so I decided to bless you with a meal" - signed GOD. How could you prove that the meal was not provided by God?
