hi i need help in understanding a situation i am going through.

my family did a land contract with the ex owner for a house that they bought 4 years ago. but not long after the ex owner went to bankrupt. my parent have been making check under there names for the house payment, so they have prove that they are the current owners. the things is that is there a chance that the bank can take the house back. and what can we do so that the bank cannot take the house from us. we have been keeping up with the payments.
