Several years ago in/around 5th-7th grade (1994-96) there was this book that I read. It's been a while, but I remember that it was about a boy who found a man living in his garage. The boy was having problems at home, I think maybe something to do with his dad? That part's not important. But the boy had a female friend and overtime somehow this owl man helped him. Although I think he was kind of a nuisance? I remember there was a scene where he goes to the garage and there was a coughed up pellet of sorts, the thing owls cough up after eating , made of mouse bones, twigs, and fur. but the boy and girl aren't sure what the man is exactly, one of them even thinks he might be an angel. At the end of the book The Owl man / Angel leaves by walking away from them and shows he has wings. I dont remember if he flew or walked away, but he leaves and shows his wings. 

It's been driving me nuts for years. And before anybody suggest it, it is NOT "skellig the owl man". I've had that book / movie recommended me a hundred times and that is NOT it. 

Please help me find this book. And thank you!! 

My ex-boyfriend had this board game, he found it at a thrift shop. It was kind of old and it was a cardboard map of the United States along with several cities. It came with a spinner where are you selected a letter of the alphabet, and a small hourglass timer, and pegs to place in the holes of the states and cities. You spin the wheel and it landed on a letter. Say, the letter A. You then flip the timer and had that many seconds to place all the pegs on as many cities and / or states that you can find. I think it was originally supposed to be a kids game however it was really challenging. Google keeps showing me this game called the great States, traveling United States, across the country, and none of those are it. I'm pretty sure he Googled it once and said it was a vintage board game around the 70s or 80s. I really want this game for myself and my friends and my friends mom. It was colorful, but not in an annoying, overly bright way that most small children games are.  Can someone please help me find this game?

drive a 2003 Buick Century, a couple months ago my blinker lights went out so I went to AutoZone, they were no help at all!! I know very little about cars and they wouldn t tell me even figure out which fuse it was. Luckily some man in the parking lot helped me look at my fuse box, the one on the side of the dash on the passenger side, he took a fuse out and put it back in and my blinkers worked! Well now they re not working again and like an idiot I didn t write down which fuse it was. I really don t want to take out every single fuse and replace it, however I will if I have to. 

This car is an anomaly and has a bunch of weird wirong/electrical issues that nobody seems to be able to fix and I don t have $4,000 to have somebody detail inspect it or replace the car so please don t suggest I shouldn t be messing with uses or take it to a professional or anything like that I really just want to know which fuse it is that controls the blinkers thank you! 

Also I would take a picture and show you the fuse plate on the side of the dash but for some reason I can t find the add a picture button on here... I m sorry. But thank you I advance.

I'm not pregnant but I want to have kids one day. And I understand there are things that happen to the body. But one (of many lol) that really bothers me is breast milk.I already have large breasts. I don't want them to get bigger (and I WILL NOT breast feed, please don't bother me with the details of how great it is, or emotional bonding. I don't care, I am a formula person.) Plus the breasts randomly lactating and the pain. So is there any way to stop is process? Binding them down with ace bandages or duct tape? (Used to have to do that when I was a ballerina so I'm used to it.)

taking birth control pills to regulate the hormones? Taking a different hormone to inhibit it?

I don't want to hear any criticisms or trolls. Just please thorough answers. Actually informed answers because there's nothing about it on the internet that I can find.

I'm not pregnant, but I do want kids. However, I don't believe in a lot of these rules people place on themselves. No sushi? No bologna?

I understand there's not really a point in taking in while pregnant, but what about for hormone reasons? I've heard some crazy crap can happen, like your hair going from curly to straight. Becoming allergic to red meat or gold. Would staying on a regular hormone regimen do anything or be pointless? Would it stop breast milk production because I DO NOT want to breast feed or even have milk develop. So....can a woman take BC while pregnant, what would be the side effects and/or is it pointless?

Please, no trolls, I don't have time for you. And no complaining or telling me "you wont mind the crazy hormones because of baby..." I am not like that, the thought of being allergic to gold or my hair being straight has almost made me want to not have kids. But I was curious as to whether regularly taking BC would counter that or be pointless. But I literally just want an actual thorough answer to a simple question. Thank you.

I've always noticed by a fluke, not exactly sure how I do it or not, that randomly an episode or two of a show I'm watching on Netflix will present as if I never played it to begin with.

I never really thought much about it, but I moved about 45 minutes away from home & I only see my best friend about three times a year now.

Recently one of our favorite shows, Santa Clarita diet, has had a new season so... because I knew it was going to be about another three months before I saw them I decided to watch it.

I didn't even think it would be a big deal until last night when they mentioned how excited they were to come up & watch it w/me in a couple of months.

Now I don't know how to make the season (season 3) look like I didn't watch it.

I understand it's a lie & it's a really mean thing to do, but I was drinking two bottles of wine and I'm really lonely since I moved, I don't know anyone in my new city. I just don't want to hurt my friend's feelings, and if they knew I watched "our show" w/o them they'll make a much bigger deal out of it than needs to be.

I don't want any advice about my friend or anything,

I just have a tech question and just want to know how to make it appear I havent watched it. Or whatever that "fluke" that makes it seem like I haven't watched an episode, (it seems to have something to do with only watching half of it but then backing out maybe?)

In any case I just can't seem to control it how do I make that happen?

My friend's mother found a spare slow cooker brand: "Rival Crock-Pot stoneware slow cooker", sort of vintage, in the Attic. She gave it to me so I went to clean it and I couldn't move the insert! I tried and I tried and my fingers just ended up with this sticky, rust colored substance that was under the lip between the heating device and the stone insert. I even tried prying it off with a screw driver (before I thought better of it) and I would see it lift, then snap back into the heating element.

It works fine. Just frustrating. I can't find my exact one on Google Images, but I found one just like it just a different color for sale on eBay, and the stoneware insert is removable! So how come I can't remove mine? Are they not all removable? And if they are...how?! Thank you.

So my boyfriends ex wife is a moron and several years ago she took these fall themed photos of the kids in these bright, rainbow and pink Easter dresses! I love the pictures, they're cute kids, but the photos themselves are horrible because of the clashing colors and seasons and I don't want them hanging in the house.

I need a FREE online photo editor where I can change the dresses colors. For example: one dress is white w/rainbow polka dots and a pink ribbon. I would like the ability to change the pink ribbon to say, orange and the polka dots to fall exceptable colors. It needs to be free Thank you in advance!

So I am using my neighbors internet for now (with their permission), but even when I had my own I had to physically plug it into the computer for my desktop to receive internet. I only use it for video games, such as the Sims 3. But if I want to buy an expansion pack on steam I have to be connected to the internet. And there is only one place in my apartment to put the router, which is 2 rooms away. So even when I get my own internet again it's a hassle. Is there a device, a gadget I can buy that will allow me to connect to Wi-Fi briefly? Something that I can plug into or attach to my desk top so I can just get online really quickly and buy my expansion pack and then get off if thats what it takes? I'm not the most tech savvy person. This computer was built for me to play the Sims on. I remember the person who built it said it didn t have a Wi-Fi chip or something to that effect. If that matters. Thanks!

For almost a year now I've had a mocking bird outside my window that shrieks every morning. I work nights so mornings are when I sleep. I've thrown things at it, shaken it's tree, screamed at it. I'm about to borrow a friends gun and just shoot it. But I would really rather kill it in a different way because I'm a horrible shot and I have neighbors. I have no sensitivity when it comes to birds especially Mockingbirds because where I live they are a blight to the community like pigeons are in other states.

Please, I don't want to hear anything about how Mockingbirds are special to the environment because this bird is going to die one way or another I've only had 3 hours of sleep every night this week because of that stupid bird. And This has been going on for almost a year. I've literally had to start taking Benadryl or drinking just to get some sleep.

Is there any specific thing that mocking birds like to eat but will kill them? Or maybe a type of bird poison I can use. I don't want anything that will just send it away briefly so it can come back.

I have good skin, some of it is genetics, and I do take really good care of it...most of the time. Recently work has been so busy & stressful I have been going to bed without washing, (but I almost never wear make up) I ve recently quit smoking. Well I got this Whitehead right beside my eye and cheek bone and I popped it. And now I have two tiny red almost pin prick like scars that are raised ever so slightly. I have a third from years and years ago when I was a teenager and have been very careful ever since not to push too hard and to be clean when i pop them. And since I rarely get pimples or white heads its not a super big problem. But now I have these red, raised tiny scars and I am hating myself every time I look in the mirror. Can anyone help me? In my work my face is important. It s the first face they see when they come in. And also.... It s right next to my eye and on my cheek bone! I ve already tried tumeric and am using a b2 dark spot cream. I ll post pictures tonight when I get off work. Someone please tell me how to get rid of them? Thank you!

*also I know it may seem strange to be this concerned about a face but they are bright cherry red and I have been though many accidents in the past so the rest of my body is scarred from fire, boiling water, dog bites , etc... I love to cook, I'm not a professional or anything but I do love it and people always say my food is great. Well, for my friends birthday I made him a birthday dinner and he liked it so much he wants me to be his personal chef, since he doesn't like fast food and he doesn't much like to cook. He said he would pay me, but for me to name my price. He told me specifically to be fair, because I tend to think my food is only- ok. But he thinks its great! I don't know exactly how to go about it. Do I charge by hour? By the type of meal? The difficulty of the recipe? How may people? Or just a flat rate for every time?

He will already be paying for the food that I cook but I don't know how much to charge him. I don't have a job and where I live it is very hard to get a job, I've been trying for months. So this could be a gateway for him to also tell his friends and this can be what I do. I love cooking especially for people, because it makes them happy. So what do I do??

PLEASE be as specific as possible, like if it is more for meat or more people or flaming recipes or how often I do it. (He hasnt mentioned how often but I assume it will be several times a week)

Ok, I have been contemplating becoming a stripper but I have been very scared.

Here is a little history. I have been either let go, fired, or had my work closed down 11 times in the past 2 years. I'm in a city that predominately speaks a language I don't know. I got a vet tech degree but no vet clinics or farms are hiring and haven't been for months. And I have to come up with rent in 5 days. My car is about to be taken away and today I actually resorted to looking in the trash for food. I have been terrified of being a stripper, not only for the whole dignity thing but dangers of creepy men.

I found a bar that has bikini dancers. I would still dance on a pole, but I'm just in a bikini. I am really thinking about it. Dancing in public doesn't bother me as I'm a retired ballet dancer (there were other types of dance in my professional life too, belly dancing is one). I'm in pretty good shape, and in a swim suit it might not be that bad.

My room mate is totally against it but I don't know. I've walked around for hours at the pool and at college parties in a two piece before and done worse at high school parties (I was a stupid teen). Where I live they're not allowed to touch you. So if I am just pole dancing in a bikini I don't think it's that bad. I just need enough money to move back home, where I can get a vet tech job.

I need to make this decision and soon. Rent-5 days. Or I'm on the streets.

Here's the background. I have a 2 year old non neutered yellow lab. He loves other dogs, cats, kids, ect. He is very well trained in tricks, and guarding/attacking. I lived by myself with him for a long time. Never a problem. Recently I moved in with a friend who has 4 dogs, and is not a disciplinarian at ALL he never disciplines his dogs so when he does mine I get mad but I digress. All the dogs get a long but I've noticed my boy getting a little more aggressive in playing. Now, my dog is trained to attack intruders. He is fine with strangers if I'm there but I lived alone for a long time, he was used to being the only dog and no people. Well last night, he's sitting on my roommates bed cady corner to the hall way which you can't see well. I was getting ready to take a shower when I saw this HUGE cockroach ( terrified of roaches) well I SCREAMED bloody murder and ran as fast as I could down the hall way. That's when Rocko (my dog) charged and sank his teeth into my leg. When I turned around and yelled his name he stopped and licked my face. I was bleeding so went outside to faint while he tried to get out. I had to have 17 staples in my leg and a cast and he almost tore my tendon. I didn't speak to him or look at him all last night and today. He was locked outside because I was kind of afraid. Tonight I was having a melt down in the drive way that I'd lost my best friend and I could see him running door to window crying for me. My roommate comes out and says he's calling the pound because Rocko was growling at him. I freaked and said let him out he wants me. When he did, Rocko came slowly up to me until I opened my arms and he ran and just licked and licked me and has stayed with me all night. I'm still wary but like I said I have trained him to attack and I shouldn't have been darting down the dark hall screaming my head off. He had every chance to go for a kill strike but didn't. I honestly think he didn't know it was me. What should I do?

I brush them all the time, even though I should floss more. I Have had braces in high school and used to wear a retainer. (Still need one but don't have the money or insurance to get it) its been wiggly off and on for years. Some days more than others. And its more sensitive than my other teeth. It's the same color and thickness though. Today it seems more loose than usual. But again I can only move it with my fingers.

I am an almost pack a day smoker.

I drink beer (never liquor) 4-5 days a week.

I used to have an eating disorder a long time ago.

(I used to throw up 7-8 times a day but don't do that anymore.)

I do brush y teeth all time, a minimum of twice a day.

I eat healthy most of the time, hate candy and don't drink soft drinks...ever. but I do loooove juice. Especially orange or tomatoe juice.

Don't tell me to see a dentist. I don't have the 400$ it would take. or insurance. So I can't. If I had the ability to see a dentist I wouldn't be on here asking this.
