  • How to configure pc to navigate to specific folder when uploading/downloading files?

I often upload and download files to and from my computer and when the upload/download window comes up asking me to navigate to the folder where the file is, I always have to navigate from My Computer to hard drive and through various folders until I get there and it's time consuming. Much of what I upload/download from/to is located in a the same folder. Is there a way to configure my pc (Windows 7) to automatically bring up, say, 'My Documents' rather than me having to navigate through everything to get there? Thanks in advance!

  • Basic mobile phone recommendation please?

Can anyone recommend a mobile phone for me. Here are the must-haves:

    1. Loud ringtones and good sound quality (I have a slight hearing impairment).

    2. Good battery life

    3. Easy to text, with good predictive text.

    4. Good reception.

    5. Preferable clamshell but not essential.

    6. Bluetooth

I don't want anything singing and dancing. Just a basic mobile phone good for receiving and making occasional calls and moderate texting.

    Many thanks!

  • Advise after opening spam email from friend's email address?

Please could someone advise me. I received an email apparently from a friend whose email address I recognised asking for assistance. So I opened it. I replied to it before realising it was spam. Then replied again to get spammers details for my friend who I'd informed. I then received the spammers details of where to send the money. I realise now I should not have replied to the email. So lesson learnt there.

But the spammers obviously have my email address and all my friend's contacts too. What do I do next apart from scan my computer?

    Thanks

  • Are PS2 games compatible with a Nintendo DS Lite?

Apologies for my ignorance! But wanted a quiz game like trivial pursuit to play on my Nintendo DS but it's only compatible with DVD, PC or PS2 etc.

  • Recording a digital channel?

I want to be able to record BBC 3 (or another Freeview channel) onto VHS. I have an integrated digital tv. I can watch all the Freeview channels, but on the screen where you set what you want to record it only gives the option of the usual 5 analogue channels (BBC1, BBC2, ITV, C4, C5).

I have tried going into the digital manual tuning menu of the TV to edit, but it doesn't make any difference to the choice of channels I can record from.

Been trying to do this for a year now, and it's driving me nuts. Don't know anyone I can ask who would know. Simple instructions please!! Many thanks.

  • I can't make up my mind whether to get a Canon 400D or a Canon 350D and have the extra for a good lens.?

I am new to DSLR (and a beginner in general and simply want to learn as a hobby). Does the bigger LCD, dust system, 9-point thingy etc worth spending more for?

What I choose now will have to do me for years, as I wont be able to afford to upgrade. (I live in UK, by the way, so dollars mean nothing!)
