So I've got a laptop with the typical weak, and pathetic speakers. I want have a sort of surround sound in my room (10'X12') with a speaker in every corner. They don't have to massively loud but pretty good. These speakers will be controlled by my laptop (Compaq Presario CQ60) but I would like some that have practically universal hookups and can be used and controlled by any computer. I Don't have too much money and would prefer not too venture over $180 I could go up to $200 if it was a huge difference. I will use them for music and viewing Netflix. Thanks.

I have an awful math teacher. I don't know what I should do about him. He is the only one teaching the course in my school and he simply cannot teach. He posts all answers online and everyone gets 100% on assignments if they turn them in- even if all answers are wrong, which they usually are (He does this because teachers in my state are evaluated based on student's grades. I do not work hard for teachers i do not like and often find myself copying his answers off the internet. My problem is that he can't teach me anything. I am very good at math (sterling scholar, 100% on state finals) and am struggling with basic concepts like summation. What should I do? How can I ensure I learn what I need to this year? How can I avoid copying down the answers online?

My beloved blackberry o five years fell apart a few weeks ago and i bought a used mytouch 4g. I dont have a data plan and dont leave the wifi on for more than a few minittes at a time. I have tried with and without advanced task killer and my broghtness is low. I send about 50 texts a day and dont call. The phone spends about four hours of the day off and in my pocket. I never us vibrate and hardly turn te screen brightness up, The problem is that the battery gets close to draining all the way down from this kind of use when starting te day at 100%. my blackberry had a much better battery life (1 week). So my question is do i need a new battery or willl the battery always be like that?

I have rather slow internet anyway (2.77) mbps on average with centurylink. My problem is that right as i turn on my xbox it slows to an absolute crawl (.17) mbps. This makes online gaming almost impossible. I figured the slowing was merely traffic from xbox live but after i turn the xbox off it is still very slow. I play late at night so it is not my neighbors causing it . Why does turning on my xbox and connecting to live cause the internet to slow even and why does it remain slow after it has been turned off? How can i fix this?

Are there any problems, incompatibilities, suggestions, or parts missing besides keyboard and mouse. I was going to use a TV as a monitor and connect via HDMI. I would use this computer for a little bit of gaming but mostly surfing the web, typing papers, and watching movies.

So right now I'm running windows vista on a compaq cq60 with 2gb Ram and a 2.0 GHZ processor. My point is that it shouldn't take much to impress me. I want to build/buy a computer that I can use for a number of different tasks. I want to hook it up to a T.V. and use it as an HTPC with windows media center, to watch netflix, dvds, and listen to music, not to record/watch live tv. I would like it to be able to handle games like minecraft, and microsoft flight set to decent graphics with out an issue. I also need this computer to perform word processing. I would like suggestions on specs and cost expectations. Thanks

i went into device manager clicked the controller, it was called an unknown device and then hit disable. How do i enable it? please help.

So I am tired of using an un-upgradable laptop and would like to build a custom desktop. I have chosen out the coolermaster elite 430 case and would like a motherboard that suits it nicely. For example the case has 6 fan mounts, so should the motherboard. The case has 10 drive bays, so should the motherboard. The case wants an ATX motherboard. I like to have a machine that can be easily tweeked and upgraded. My laptop is pretty bad so I think I would probably be impressed with a pretty average motherboard. I like the idea of the case not being superior to the motherboard because then i feel like space has been wasted.

So i have slot cars that are 1:32 scale and they look really good in my display case. I want to collect model cars of the same scale and qualitIy (ok). i would want them to be relatively cheap (no more than $15). They dont need very good detailing they could even be toys. I just dont want to pay $75 dollars a car. I also am doing this because i love cars, motorcycles and garages, i just dont have the money. And if i could get 1:32 scale garage tiles lights and such that would be cool too. Any reccomendations for a specific brand with large selection would be great

I have two light switch bases in my room. one of them controls the light and the other is presumably there for planned ceiling fan. I read about lutron lights that you can control with your iphone (have one). and i wanted to do this in my room if at all possible. i want to know what i will need to do and buy, thanks.

I have the typical on/off light switch in my room the switch is the bigger type (large rectangle). In my basement i have a certain type that has a dimmer switch with glowing green level indicator. They also have a feature that when you turn them off they dim over about 15 seconds until off. what would I need to do to have this in my room. Do i just need to buy the fancy switch? I am not an electrician but I am pretty smart and good at DIY, thanks.

I am getting close to buyin my first car. I worked and earned a small side garage at my parents and about $5000. the garage can tightly fit a prius and i dont want to have to have space ship launch precision every time i Park. I love old european cars especially german makes. I can do some engine work and cosmetic. I need a tiny car that fits in my price range and gets decent mileage (at least 30). I have a closet with french doors and i want to have an automatic socket in there... Basically an extension cord that has a button or magnetic switch involved so that when the doors are shut the circuit is disconnected and when the doors open the circuit is connected. I have a socket just outside the closet that i would connect it to. I have about $20 to do this. Any help would be great.

So my doggie door runs through my garage and then out another doggie door.(my dogs have open access to my garage). Whenever i come home and open the garage to drive in my dogs come out and then i have to catch them, put them back inside and then shut the doggie door. I want a device that can shut the doggie doors remotely from a distance of about 50 feet maximum and wirelessly (from inside my car). so that when i open my garage they cannot come out.

So my friend gave me his iphone 3GS that is locked onto AT&T and I want to unlock it to use it on Tmobile. I want to do this through AT&T on online chat but i need to be registered and i need to be a customer for that ( I was a couple years ago). I don't want to bother my friend to do it so i don't know what to do. also do i have to be the iphone's original owner?

I am thinking of buying an unlocked iphone for my tmobile plan. I dont have an internet plan, just minutes. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and if everything worked, app store, wifi, texting, email, calls, sim card contact transfer, and anything else. Please tell me anything that did not work.

I bought a army surplus rucksack and it has this bad smell just like the store had. I washed it but it had no effect on the smell. I dont know what to do with it. It is a nylon one and i need to get the smell out
