To owners of LG x120: Where could I find the CMOS or jumper in the motherboard? My laptop does not boot to BIOS or executes POST, and there is no display in the monitor. I'm guessing something happened to the BIOS since I was tweaking it before it happened. I opened the laptop but could not find the CMOS or any jumpers (by the way, haven't really dissected it yet, just removed the covers). Anyone knows where I could find the CMOS? Thanks...also LG Smart ON is not working and I have tried holding down the power button without the battery for a long time so the CMOS or jumper are my only options. Thanks again.

Yes, I know it's a crap video card but I bought an LG X120 Notebook and as far as I know I don't think that it can be upgraded to Nvidia or ATi. The specs of the laptop is Intel Atom 1.60 GHz, 1GB memory, 160 HDD, and 950GMA.

I woulld like to play at least Red Alert 2, Star Craft, Diablo III, Counter-Strike, and any games that would have a crappy resolution but will be able to run smoothly. I'm kind of desperate. :))

Hi, I want to get an opinion on how to cure my sweaty hands. I'm into computer gaming since I was a child, regretably it was too late when I was informed that I need to rest my hands after playing on the PC for several hours. Now I have a really sweaty hands and its embaracing plus hard to work with.

What do you think are the causes and possible resolutions if the laptop monitor wont show anything but there is light at the power button?

My laptop is an Astone UMPC, the one with the 30GB. I was uninstalling a web cam driver that I don't need when I was asked to restart, so I restarted the system. However; before actually powering down and restarting the Blue Screen of Death appeared and just stayed their so I restarted the laptop by holding down the power button. After which my world just fell apart when my laptop wont turn on but the light at the power button is glowing.

Did something burn? If something did what would it be and how much would it cost to repair?

Can anyone give me an idea on what type of specifications should I consider if I would buy a monitorfor extreme gaming. I work at a Manpower Agency with a minimum wage salary and of course commission. My position is similar to accounts manager because I look for possible clients, contact them, and handle theire needs.

I was just wondering why there are IT Manpower agencies? I mean, all company have there own HR and hiring directly would save them money. A software development company that has an IT consultancy agency could easily crush the IT Manpower industry. I have no grudge against them or anything, in fact I'm a recent addition to the back-end of an IT Manpower company. I don't want to ask them directly because I know they won't be able to satisfy my curiosity, so I want to ask the Y!A community. At this point in time, is there a need for an IT Manpower agency?

I was wondering if there would be an issue becuase the location of the PCI Express 1x slot is directly between one of the heat sink. Would the location endanger the sound card or would it be just all right?

FYI the casing would be an antec twelve hundred so the internal parts are well ventilated.
