Is this a mid life crisis, or does the partner have the problem?
Male is 49 years. He has always held the believe that one should try new things out, do whatever your body allows you to do and enjoy life. He has been maried for 22 years and has 3 children. His wife had now dictated to him to start acting his age, to stop doing these things and that he is having a mid life crisis. Since having said this, the male has lost confidence and is actually questioning himself. Was he doing allthese things just to deny the fact he was getting old rather than doing them for the enjoyment which he always believed. The things are physical activities too, not chasing girls or things like that. The male is wondering what to do or where to go. Could is be a case that his partner is jealous of his lifestyle? He continues to study, has numerous friends outside the family as she will not allow his friends into the house. She has no friends and her children wont bring their friends home either cause of her. He needs some advice and I have none
3 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHave we become to self centred, demanding gratification?
Have we become to invovled in ourselfs, and only able to desire instant gratification through the use of substances? Have we as a society forgotten the simple pleasures of life that bring so much and cost so little. The art of just cuddling or holding a hand, the warmth that is created by the smile of a grandparent to their grandchild for all to enjoy. Are we too busy to enjoy these simple thinks, or to stop and tell people that we care about how we fill without needing an occassion to express our feelings. Perhpas needing everything yesterday has dulled our emotional senses to some extend. I am interested in what you have to say.
3 AnswersFamily1 decade ago. Is there a God or is it just a croutch for the weak?
Time for that age old question again. Is there a God or is relegion just a crutch for the weak willed who have no believe in themself? For if there is a God, creator or whatever, and we are taught he loves us as his children, what sort of father would allow these things to happen? And if there is a God, whose God is right anyway? So many religions, so many documetns yet so different. Or is it those that have a strong belief in the unknown should take a leap of faith unto themselves? Or could all the Gods of different cults and religion be just one God and we got it wrong...or is it God just haves a wicked sense of humour and is laughing at us
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can I overcome this tired lethargic feeling I always have?
I am constantly tired (unless at work) It takes all my effort to do get going to do the things I enjoy for relaxation. Once started though, I am fine. All I really want to do is sleep or just veg out. No motivation at all. It is affecting my relationship I think as well with my family. Could it be depression, a more physical ailment or am I just in a rut and need a backbone to get myself motivated.
7 AnswersMen's Health1 decade agoDo couples drift apart after time and when that happens, is seperation the way to go?
Ive been married for about 20 years and we have three children. My partner appears to have become a control freak, using words such as my money, my house etc. She makes all the decisions and expects me to go along with them. Due to my work, I use to be a way a lot of the time but now I don't travel at all. It appears to me I am just there in the background. We have very little in common and there is no passion in the relationship anymore.
