Can you kiss at Singapore airport?
Is it frowned upon? I will be saying hello and then goodbye to my girlfriend there. I am from a Western country where it is common, I've never been to Singapore before.
2 AnswersSingapore6 years agoDoes a cellphone (and sim) from the Malaysian peninsular work in East Malaysia?
Someone from West Malaysia has gone to East Malaysia for a holiday. Can I ring their cellphone? Will they have additional charges if I phone them when they're in East Malaysia? I don't know their cellphone company, sorry.
2 AnswersMalaysia8 years agoFreely roaming dogs on Philippine streets?
When I got to the Philippines I was surprised by the number of dogs just wandering around, no collar or lead. Do these dogs have an owner, or are they considered stray dogs? Who feeds them?
7 AnswersPhilippines8 years agoCan I get "normal" voicemail on Smart cellphones?
By "normal", I mean someone calls your number. The phone is switched off, or you don't answer. The caller hears my message "please leave a number after the beep" and then they leave a message. I want to have this, because I expect to have overseas callers who won't understand any other method.
1 AnswerPhilippines8 years agoATM fees and exact VISA symbol...?
I am in a foreign country. I have an ATM card with the VISA symbol, and I have to look for an ATM with the equivalent symbol. But the problem is that there are more than one VISA symbol. I want to avoid large fees, does it matter what VISA symbol I use, or does it have to be the exact one as on the card?

3 AnswersPhilippines8 years agoWhat's the best way to ask someone to get an STD test?
I recently got tested for STD's, and I'd like my internet girlfriend (who I have never met) to get tested. What's the best way? I told her of my test and results. We're meeting soon. Obviously I'm going to ask her when we meet, not before. Any ideas? I expect the results to be negative, but I'd like to be sure. We wouldn't break up if she was positive, she'd just get treatment, obviously.

10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy don't Philippine bus companies have websites?
It would seem that having a website would get some more customers, especially tourists. Is there a reason why they don't? By websites, I mean prices, schedules, routes and bus terminal locations.
5 AnswersPhilippines8 years agoWhat is the Philippine attitude to relationships after marriage breakdown?
This is a question related to the question posted about 4 hours ago, about living with someone before marriage. I'm probably older than that person, and was wondering what people in the Philippines think about couples who live together, and one or more of the people are separated (let's assume that any legalities of the separation have been done)? Obviously, they can't divorce, and maybe they can't get an annulment.

2 AnswersPhilippines8 years agoIs this a normal family situation?
I know of a family in the Philippines - a mother (in her late 40's), daughter (18) and a son (early 20's). They are living in a home that doesn't cost much to rent. Only the daughter is working. The mother and the son aren't, and don't seem to be looking for a job. They live in a city. The mother has been to university. I am not judging but it would seem a good idea for the son and mother to look for a job, but I don't want to ask them why they aren't. So I'm asking you, yahoo answers. Is this a common situation?
9 AnswersPhilippines8 years agoAre there any poor/low cost countries to visit that are considered "safe"?
I live in a "safe" country, where I am not afraid to walk along the street alone, at night. I would like to travel and spend a bit of time in a low cost (also known as "poor") country, but safety is one consideration. Do you know of any "safe" countries that are also "poor/low cost"?
2 AnswersHealth & Safety8 years agoIs Globe stealing your balance a big problem?
Someone told me that Globe has a problem with their sim balance (I think it's "load" in the Philippines) dropping suddenly and unexpectedly without any use, is this a major problem, or a little problem, that will happen maybe once a year?
5 AnswersPhilippines8 years agoCan I buy a cellphone and sim in Manila airport?
I'll be flying into the Philippines in Manila, and probably won't have a cellphone with me (scary, huh?). Can I buy a cellphone and sim in the airport, near the international arrivals?

If so, what is your monthly pay (in pesos please), and any other things that would help (such as trainee, 10 years in the job) to show pay rates in the Philippines.
