My inspection expires at the end of April (3 days). I will have money on May 1, but not before then. I plan to take it as soon as I have money.

If I get pulled over and get a ticket for the expired inspection, would I be able to get the ticket dropped if I get the vehicle inspected and then show proof that I got an inspection?

This person needs a ride and doesn't have a car. They're not a friend of mine, and the place they need a ride to is really out of my way/not somewhere I would even be going if I weren't giving them a ride.

If I agree to give this person a ride, I have to:

get up at 5 in the morning and drive about 30 mins. to pick them up from their house

drive them about 2 hours to another city

wait for them to do whatever it is they need to do

drive 2 hours back to drop them off

and then I still have to drive 30 min. back to my own house

So in total, that's about 5 hours of driving plus any stops we might have to make and actually finding the address once we get to the city.

I was thinking of asking this person to pay me $50 plus pay for all the gas we use. Is this reasonable?

I turned in my rent check this morning, but a few minutes ago I realized that I wrote the date as 1/4/11 instead of 1/4/12. Will there be any problem for the landlord to deposit it? The check number is after the numbers of the checks I wrote last year.

I just saw this picture of a guy's hands who lost his thumb and got his big toe attached to his hand instead. It was just really weird and gross looking. My big toe is less flexible than my thumb, so I don't think I would really be able to do much with it if I were in that situation. Also, your big toe is so important for walking and balance. Wouldn't that just mess you up more? The way I see it, you'd have two mangled body parts instead of just one.

I am so sick of college right now. I'm in my third year now, and I'm stressed, miserable, and unhappy all the time. Maybe I picked the wrong major or the wrong school. Maybe I'm just not right for college. I just think my major is useless, but nothing else interests me. Anyway, I'll be just one credit short to graduate this spring, but if I take one summer class, then I'll be done. I know it's not such a long time, but it just feels a lot longer because I'm so miserable. I kind of want to take a semester or year off, but I'm just afraid if I do that, I just won't ever come back and finish. Also, my family would be disappointed in me for giving up so close to the end.

I'm so fortunate to have grandparents who are able to pay what's not covered by my scholarships and financial aid, and I really appreciate everything that they've done for me. I feel like it would be a waste of their money to quit, but at the same time, it also seems like a waste to make myself miserable to get a degree that's going to be useless.

When I was younger, I was forced by my mom to go to church, and I resented it a lot. I tried so hard to believe everything, but so much of it just didn't make sense and a lot of the people who went to the church were hypocrites or very judgmental of people who aren't Christians. So I completely turned away and hardened my heart against Christianity. Now I'm in college, and I've met some nice people who are Christians, and the other day, one of them asked if I was a Christian. Anyway, now I'm thinking more about why I rejected Christianity. Because I want to believe in something, but there are parts of Christianity that I don't like.

Basically, what I realized that I would be ok if it were just Jesus and nothing else. Like, no God, no creation, no heaven or hell, no judging other people for having different beliefs. Get rid of everything but the part where Jesus is like "Be nice to people and don't judge them." Does this make sense to anyone else or am I being ridiculous? Are there any other people who feel the same way about this?

CPS is investigating my aunt and uncle's house because of their daughters' kids. One of my cousins is 17 and expecting her second child, I really don't think she should have any children at all. Her older sister with two kids and her husband live there too.

Anyway, the house is filthy because they throw everything (dishes, clothes, diapers, cigarette butts etc.) on the floor. CPS has investigated before and I really don't think they are going to pass inspeection this time.

So if they haven't cleaned up enough when CPS comes, back, will they take the children away immediately? And then what legal stuff happens after that?

And I forgot to mention that the children are two 2 year olds, one 4 month old baby, and one of my cousins is about to have another one. Would they be able to take away the new one right after it's born?

I've always had A's in Spanish and I believe I could pass the AP Spanish exam, but my school doesn't offer AP Spansh.

Is there some way I can do this at another school or something like that?

It's mostly English, but some things show up as Spanish. How do I make it completely English?

I have to write a short report about the movie Grease for my history class. I need to know the big differences between the movie and what actually happened in the fifties. I'll take as many details as you can give me.

In history class, we're doing a project where we have to watch a movie and write a paper about how (in)accurate the film was. Anyway, my group is doing Grease and I would appreciate it if you good people could point me in the direction of some really good websites about teen culture in the fifties. Gracias.

I'm taking AP US history next semester and I'm not really sure what to expect. In ninth grade, I took honors world history. I got a C the first nine weeks and an A the second nine weeks which averaged to a B. In tenth grade, I took regular world history 2 and had an A both nine weeks. I got 600 (perfect score) on the SOL tests for both classes.

I'm just wondering how hard this class will be compared to what I've had in the past. Also wanting to know how often will I have to write essays or any other kind of extended writing project?

In my art class, I have to do a project about a famous artist and then make my own piece imitating that artist's style. I'm not very good with detailed stuff, so an artist with a simpler style would be good.

My school is searching everyones' bags before they can enter the school. I don't like this policy, but I want to keep a sense of humor about the situation. What's something funny that I can have in my bag just to see if they're really paying attention. I want suggestions that are weird but not illegal in any way.
