Sony WX-GT90BT Handsfree Bluetooth won't pick up my voice, why?
I recently installed a Sony WX-GT90BT double din head unit in my car. When I make or answer a phone call over bluetooth the other party can't hear me but I can hear them. Every other bluetooth feature works fine from calling functions to A2DP audio. Connection is rock solid and never disconnects.
It's currently paired with a Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-1337M) on Android v4.3. I've also tried it with an iPhone 5 (iOS version not known) and behaviour is identical.
I've considered the possibility that the wired mic connected to my head unit is faulty. However, when I flick the mic with my finger the head unit responds with an audible beep (same sound it makes when pressing buttons) so it must be receiving signal from the mic.
I'm completely stumped.
3 AnswersCar Audio7 years agoUFO over Toronto?
By UFO I mean Unidentified Falling Object. This happened years ago and I never found out what it was so if anyone else saw this or remembers hearing about it please answer.
I don't remember exactly what year this was but it was between 2000 - 03 I would say. I was at Harbour Front watching the Symphony of Fire fireworks display and happened to look to my left toward the islands and up in the sky was a long trailing fireball. It was pretty big by night sky standards and moving very slowly eastward or south eastward. It's colour was consistent with something on fire (orange-red-yellowish) and lasted about a minute before it dimmed out.
My first thought was meteorite. But it was moving much more slowly than a conventional "shooting star" and persisted for a relatively long time. My second thought was that it was a falling satellite but I can't seem to find any evidence of this online. A few others seemed to be looking at it but everyone else was too focused on the fireworks to notice.
1 AnswerAstronomy & Space1 decade agoPinouts for 2001 Explorer Sport Radio??
Anyone know the pin assignments for the stock radio on an '01 Ford Explorer Sport? (P/N: 1L2F-18C815-HA)
On the rear of the head unit is the main connector (16 pins), a 20 pin socket utilizing only 3 pins, an 8 pin socket with no pins in it, and an empty socket that says AMP.
I want to add an Auxiliary Audio-In jack to my dash and would rather splice a 3.5mm or RCA jack into the wiring harness than spend money on an interface. If anyone knows where I can get a cheap cable adapter to serve the same purpose I would be most appreciative.
Thanks

Does anyone know of any good places in or around the Buffalo area to buy consumer electronics or computer parts besides the big name stores?

How can I determine (at least approximately) the historical market value, retail value, and/or wholesale value of a car based on a specific year? For instance, how could I find the market value of a 1989 Buick Century if it were being sold in 1995?

I know the movie and soundtrack are not out yet but I liked the tune that was playing during the trailer and wondering if it can be found yet.
Thanks
6 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoHow would you interpret my dreams?
I'm a very active dreamer and usually able to reconcile them with my own thoughts and feelings quite easily but I'd like to hear the reactions of others. My friends seem to like these two that I've had:
SPACE BABY
I am in a completely dark environment like the void of space without any stars. Right in front of me is a head that I can only describe as looking like a deformed baby's face and very pudgy. No eyes, just empty sockets. Out of it's open mouth is a tube that bends upwards but I can't see where it goes, I think it is sustaining it's life like a breathing apparatus. It speaks to me slowly in an ultra low frequency so I can't make out what it is trying to say.
UNICORN PROPHET
There are two horses in a field. One is a wild black stallion and seems to beckon to me. The other is a lame white unicorn laying on it's side on the ground, apparently dying. It looks at me and speaks telepathically: "The things of this world have no permanence."

This music is played in a lot of movie trailers as well. I've been having a hard time identifying the name of this piece or the composer. Thanks!

Does anyone know how to change the ID of a controller in Windows XP? Win 98 had this feature but in XP it's called "preferred controller" which doesn't work. Maybe a registry setting?
3 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoXBOX 360 Guitar Hero: WinXP Drivers?
I'm trying to use an xbox 360 X-plorer guitar with a Guitar Hero-like game for PC but the strum bar is not recognized by the game. According to the readme file it was intended to be used with the PS2 guitar in analog mode. The xbox guitar's strum button is mapped as a POV Hat in windows as is the D-pad (rest of the buttons work fine). Other drivers like XBCD don't work with the guitar.
The way I saw it, there were two ways around this:
1. Use a program like PPJoyJoy to remap the POV as an analog stick or digital button. Sadly, PPJoyJoy does not recognize the strum bar at all.
2. Use PPJoyKey to map the keyboard as a gamepad and then use Joy2Key to map keyboard buttons back onto the guitar, reassigning the POV to another axis. The problem here is that the game only recognizes the guitar when it is plugged in and not the virtual controller. Ack! It's also not a very elegant solution.
Short of buying a PS2 guitar, does anyone have any ideas? There must be a program out there... right?
