  • Help! I think my tattoo is infected its been 6 days since getting my tattoo & part of it is still red & puffy?

Okay - so I'm not new to tattoos - but it has been a LONG time since getting my last one. I got a tattoo on my forearm about a week ago and the girl told me to use cocoa butter on it, I did that for a few days but it didn't help much so I started using Bacitraycin and it helped much better - but now there is a section of my tattoo that is still red and puffy... Everything is starting to itch now, but this section is itchy and a little tender to touch - this area also has the most color (it is a tattoo of scripted lettering) - but I feel like something more may be wrong... Any thoughts would be appreciated... Should I give it some more time? I just don't want an infected tattoo - that is a very scary thought!!! p.s. the needles used were brand new and all that - so I must of done something wrong?

  • 1.5-year old Puggle urinating without knowing?

I have a 1.5-yr old Puggle whom I rescued from a shelter - where she was rescued from a puppy mill. Any way - when we first got her, it seemed like she was constantly having accidents - after having a needle inserted into her bladder to check for infections - they came back negative - it seemed like we were under control and she was potty trained... The vet summed it up to being that the first 6 months of her life were rocky - and she was becoming acclimated to having a "normal" home life... Any way - over the weekend, she had 3 accidents back to back... It was like she had no idea she was urinating!!! Especially since she urinated on my best friend and her fiance!!! (she has met them before and even been doggy sat by them - she adores them)... So my question is - what could this be? She isn't an older dog - so its not an age thing... I of course intend on taking her to the vet - but maybe some suggestions and guidance will help me with everything I want to ask the vet... Thanks!!!

  • I am having MAJOR potty training issues w/my 8mo. old puggle - Someone, please help!?

She is a puppy mill rescue - we then rescued her from a private rescue on the eastern shore (MD). She is a sweet dog, a wonderful companion - but she pees inside CONSTANTLY! Even in her crate - now I understand that she was at a puppy mill, where she was probably crammed in a cage with her brothers and sisters where they had no where to go to the bathroom, except where they stood... Any advice would be appreciated!!

  • I'm Having Cat Issues?

Meet Charlie - Our 3-year old Tabby. I rescued him from the local shelter. He has adapted to "us" quite well - but for some reason - He does NOT want to "poo" in his litter box! I clean it daily, and vacuum the area around it regularly too. We moved the box when we opened the house to him. I showed him several times where it was, he urinates fine in the box, but seems to defect RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BOX - not inside. I do not know what else to do. I will try some of the things that I've seen offered with other questions - but I'm really concerned that we will have to give him away. Also, yesterday, he had some diahrrea (sp?) - and it looked as though there may have been some blood discharge?? Is this normal? I set up an appointment with the vet - but she didn't seem concerned... Is this a sign of worms? Any advice would be much appreciated. Should I confine him in the basement with the box so he can get used to it? Did I give him free reign too soon? Thanks!!

  • I'm depressed, should I take antidepressants or is there another way?

Ok, so I have gone to 2 sessions of therapy. The first day, the doctor told me to consider antidepressants... Is that normal? I mean she hadn't even really sat and talked with me about what was going on. Now, today, after the 2nd session, she said it again - What are the risks of this medicine... Is there a better way? I just had a baby 4 months ago - I want to feel better for her and for myself and for the sake of my family! Should I go to another doctor and get a second opinion? Thanks for your help!
